SHADY Customer Subscriptions

A great website with worse customer subscriptions and management. So this is my experience with this website:
One year ago in 2021, they used to sell LIFETIME PREMIUM memberships. I got a LIFETIME membership from them in JULY 2021 for around CAD$12 (ONE TIME FEE). Then I used it to prepare for my TABLEAU DESKTOP SPECIALIST certification. Once my certification is done, I didn’t use the website for 4 months.
Then I came up with the idea of going for TABLEAU’s newest certification of DATA ANALYST. I thought to use the website again as I already had a LIFETIME membership. I tried to log in but wasn’t successful. After several attempts, I came to the realization that these people have changed their website a bit. Along with it, they have also changed the SUBSCRIPTION models of the website.
So I had contacted them through email and asked them to resolve my log in issue. As I was 100% certain that my log in credentials are right. Their customer service team responded in a nice way saying that we have finished your membership and now you must buy the MEMBERSHIP again. They used some flashy beautiful ways to deliver the message, but the summary is what I have told you above. They mainly cited that we have some business model viability issues. That’s why they came up with this revamp of membership structures.
My mind was blown by this email. I have asked them that EVEN if they had changed the membership model, how come they have NOT kept their word for EARLIER SUBSCRIBERS. This is completely against BUSINESS ETHICS. But they responded again saying that we can COMPENSATE you by refunding you EARLIER MONEY. Then you can come back and buy the new memberships.
I have to be HONEST, they did RETURN my money on CC.
As I needed the membership for PREPARATIONS, I rebought the PREMIUM MONTHLY membership plan. After 20 days of usage, my purpose for the preparation of new DATA ANALYST membership was fulfilled. So I tried to UNSUBSCRIBE now. I spent some time trying to find ANY option on WEBSITE to UNSUBSCRIBE but there wasn’t any. So, I sent them an email asking how to UNSUBSCRIBE or if the MEMBERSHIP will AUTO-FINISH at the end of the month. Can you imagine what happened next!!!!!!!!
They responded in a generic message stating that we will respond to your email in 7 DAYS. Meanwhile, I waited for their response, thinking that maybe the MEMBERSHIP will be finished by the end of the month. But to my SURPRISE, my CC statement was showing that they have AUTO CHARGED me again for the next month. Then they sent an email 2 days after, stating that we request you to KINDLY support our work on DATA ANALYSIS. We are doing so much HARD WORK here and kindly continue your MEMBERSHIP for a few more months. Then we will give you a link to UNSUBSCRIBE. I sent a response to them saying that Kindly FINISH my membership right now. As I don’t need it and I am NOT even using your membership anymore.
After this, I had to talk with my CC company to REVERSE the TRANSACTION and STOP any future PAYMENTS to these people. I was LUCKY enough that my CC did compensate me.
SUMMARY: This website is operated somewhere from KOLKATA in INDIA. Although, they did a great job in creating this website. But to EARN MONEY, they are using SHADY WAYS to CHEAT and get your MONEY. There are NOT much better Alternatives out there in the market.
