On April 7, 2026 I deposited 5 ETH to my Swissquote account. The transaction is confirmed on-chain but has been sitting in "Pending Reason: Waiting for bank validation" ever since.
Timeline:
- April 7 — Deposit sent (confirmed on-chain)
- April 10 — Contacted support asking for status. No substantive reply
- April 14 — Support requested an ID document. I uploaded it the same day
- April 23 (today) — Still no acknowledgment, no estimated timeline, no follow-up questions
I am not asking for special treatment — only a real human update on what is blocking the validation and when it will be resolved. Over two weeks of complete silence on a five-figure deposit is not what I expect from a Swiss bank.

Would appreciate someone from the team actually owning this case.

I opened an account with Swissquote and transferred money on March 27. They said the account would be ready in 2–3 days. It’s now April 15 and I still can’t even log in. I’ve contacted support twice and both times I got the exact same copy-paste reply saying my request was forwarded to the “relevant department.” No update, no timeline, nothing.
Meanwhile my money is just sitting there and I have zero access to it. In my last message I asked them very clearly to either open the account or reject the application and send my money back. Still no response.
I feel pretty powerless, does anyone know how can i get my money back?

Customer service - Not effective.
I have been trying to set up a joint account since more than a month and have been unable to complete the process.
I approached several time the customer service with phone calls and messages. The personnel has been kind and generally showed a certain lever caring.
Nevertheless no one has taken ownership of the issue. They were only able to give generic answers not leading to a solution (e.g. issue transferred to different department (IT?), explanations (or attempts of explanations) contradicting the one received in previous calls (from different colleagues), promises of follow-up calls never kept,…).
I have finally been asked (without explaining why) to provide some additional information by mail.
Two weeks have now passed and yet no feedback.
Total silence and the bitter feeling of been left by yourself (while ironically, at the same time, the flow of promotional emails continues happily).
Honestly, all this is far from satisfactory.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Swissquote.
On April 2nd, I transferred 700 CHF from my UBS account. UBS confirmed the transfer was completed, yet Swissquote has been “blocking” the funds for over a week with no explanation.
I contacted support three times by phone and also through the internal contact form in my account. Each time, I got the same vague response: “the funds are blocked,” no reason, no timeline, and no follow-up despite promised callbacks.
What makes it worse is that Swissquote is expensive, yet the service is anything but premium. Poor communication, zero transparency, and no urgency.
For a trading platform, this is simply not acceptable. If you can’t access your own money, what’s the point?
Very disappointing. I would think twice before using Swissquote.

Their Swift systems are not fully working and they do not check the bank codes with the bank accounts, so the money might appear in somewhere else... A simple safety check that every bank implements, but no swissquote; of course the transaction fees are charged anyway.

Very disappointing experience with Swissquote.
I attempted to open an account and transferred 80,000 CHF, but after almost 10 days there was still no confirmation or progress on the account approval. It’s hard to understand how long it can take just to verify an ID document and activate an account.
Customer service was slow and unhelpful throughout the process. After reading similar experiences from other users facing the same delays, I decided to request a refund and close the account instead.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend trusting them with your funds. I also saw multiple comments mentioning issues with the app’s performance, which reinforced my decision.
Overall, this felt very unprofessional for a Swiss financial institution. Don’t waste your time.

Very user-friendly tool both on App and Desktop. Easy to buy and sell ETFs. I have also transfered my shares benefing from 0 fees. I have been using the Trading account every month since 2023. Tax documents are also very useful, specifically for Swiss tax residents.
