The stitching completely ripped apart.i have been fighting with them with pictures receipts now they want a video of a broken zipper.has to be the worst company ever,would never buy a thing from them again. Swiss Gear’s customer service has been beyond miserable. I filed a claim for a warranty issue on my suitcase and after filing the claim, submitting pictures online, cutting all the tags off of my defective suitcase and mailing those snail mail to Florida the claim was finally approved. After another couple of months a replacement was sent to me, but it was the incorrect model. After another additional 10+ calls and promises of sending ups labels to return the item I still have not heard from them on a resolution. I have asked a handful of times to speak to a supervisor and am told I am not allowed to do that. Please help
Purchased at BestBuy Mar2023 - regrets soon after and continuing!
Purchased at BestBuy 16Mar2023. Within 6 months under moderate use 2 of 4 grommets fell out and the stitching on the straps began to unravel. They design is fine but the build quality abysmal.
The warranty claim process is cumbersome requiring multiple photo uploads including of the labels inside (hard to photograph), and decidedly is designed to string the consumer along until they give up. From 09April it took until 02July to respond, and then with a 15% discount code to buy another sub-quality product AFTER filling out another form, removing the labels, attaching them to said form and then finally mailing the whole mess by regular post. Stay clear of Swissgear forever is my takeaway from this.
Horrible customer support
What a joke. In 5 months the backpack handle started to fall apart. Opened a claim and didn't hear from them in 1 month. Then sent a message and within 5 minutes the claim was closed. They said the damage was caused by me???? What a joke of a company. Do not buy from them.
Backpack not delivered and no refund
I purchased a backpack that was never delivered due to a missing suite number in the address. Despite receiving a notification from UPS, the package was not delivered and was eventually returned to the Swissgear warehouse.
Since then, I’ve made numerous attempts to contact Swissgear for assistance, but most of my emails have been ignored. According to their website, my order is marked as “delivered,” yet I’ve received nothing and am now struggling to obtain a refund.
The only responses I’ve received—primarily from a representative named Calvin—have been vague and unhelpful, with messages like “We will get this out asap” or “A refund is being processed. Please allow 2–4 business days.” Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this site to anyone based on my experience.

Swiss Gear Handle Poor Quality
Purchased new Swiss Gear soft side luggage from Walmart. Paid about $70 but didn't save the receipt.
The third use of the suitcase the retractable handle broke and wouldn't retract. Reached out to Swiss Gear and they couldn't help since I didn't have the original receipt. I asked twice if I could purchase a new handle assembly, but they would not respond to this request. Stay away from this vendor. Many negative reviews all over the internet
Poor Quality at High Prices
Given their price point, I was expecting a far more durable product than what I received. Barely a year after purchasing a suitcase, the wheels started squeaking loudly. It is so embarrassing when half the airport seems to be turning around looking as you walk past! Reaching out to the company was as useless as the so called warranty. Their response: “I have received your video and yes your wheels are squeaky, have you tried using dry lube on the wheels. You can usually find it in retail auto shops like Auto Zone and such, this is just a suggestion.

Luggage Leaked, Company does not respond
We purchased two Model 7272 Hardside SwissGear Suitcases through Amazon in January 2025. We used them the first time at the start of March checking them into a trusted major airline for a flight to Europe. When we opened both suitcases on arrival at our hotel, the clothes in both suitcases were wet. This has never happened with luggage of any quality, let alone the quality we expected from investing in SwissGear.
SwissGear provided an online warranty claim form although we asked for a refund. SwissGear is fast to respond to the claim form, asking for more documentation until you have sent everything SwissGear needs. Then, we never heard from SwissGear again. SwissGear never replied to follow-up emails. Every phone call to SwissGear was not returned. We are disappointed and angry.

Warranty not honored. I have purchased two suitcases from them, the first one wore out and the second one fell apart quickly. They say they have a warranty on them but they do not honor it. Poor quality and false warranty.
Terrible Warranty & Nonexistent Customer Service – Avoid SwissGear at All Costs!
I purchased a SwissGear backpack, expecting quality and durability. Unfortunately, the backpack started falling apart within months, with zippers breaking and seams coming undone despite light use. Since SwissGear advertises a warranty, I thought I’d be covered—big mistake.
I submitted a warranty claim, provided all the required details, and waited. And waited. And waited. No response. I followed up multiple times via email and phone, only to be completely ignored. Their so-called “warranty” is nothing but a scam, and their customer service is nonexistent.
SwissGear clearly does not stand behind their products, and their warranty is just a gimmick to make you feel secure at the time of purchase. Save yourself the frustration and buy from a reputable brand that actually cares about its customers.
DO NOT waste your money on SwissGear. This company is a joke when it comes to honoring their commitments. Avoid at all costs!
Absolutely No Warranty Support
I bought a luggage set in July 2024 during Amazon Prime days, but my first use was in November 2024. Essentially, the large suitcase fell apart at the wheels. Go check the Amazon reviews for "SwissGear Opulence Softside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels, Black, 3-Piece Set (21/25/29)" and you'll see the very common problem.
I contacted Swiss Gear for a warranty claim on December 2nd 2024. Went through the process, submitted photos and waited…for weeks. Never heard back so I submitted another support request. Nothing back on that one either. Sent a 3rd request in early February 2025, still nothing. Made 2 phone calls to their support team - nobody answered so I left a message. Now it’s mid March 2025 and it’s been OVER 3 months since my original claim with zero communication. No matter what the warranty claims to be, you’ll be lucky to ever hear back from them.
Don’t waste your money on any SwissGear products.
Fake product Deceptive advertising bait and switch?
I ordered two items Feb. 9 2025. One item is described as pink/black and as noted by another complaint the shipped product is RED/BLACK. This was not inexpensive and as I received the wrong color I sent an e-mail to ask if the description is wrong? Does the product exist in pink/black?

I would NEVER buy anything from this company again!! The worst customer service and they don’t back up their products. I’ve been dealing with my issue since early November ‘24 with no resolve. Rather than replacing my suitcase as part of their warranty due to faulty parts-they thought I’d be satisfied with a 15% off on my next purchase. Wow is all I could say when I saw that - they can take their 15% and 🤬.

I bought the backpack from Swiss Gear in March of 2023. The backpack broke after a school year of use. When I tried to return it for warranty in October of 2024, they wanted a label from the backpack that doesn't exist. They told me I had to send it in if I wanted to use my warranty. When I asked where I should send it to, they never replied. In other words, their warranty is worthless!!! Buyer beware! Just tried again by replying to the original email instead of the web portal. Let's see if anything happens now.

I could not even rate less than 1 star I ordered a bagpack online I got it pretty quick I was having good time thinking it arrived soon than expected but it turned out that I received wrong bag from which I ordered and now trying to contact customer care from past few days had email too about it but did not get any single reply. Very disappointed doesn't matter of how good quality it will be but won't go for it again if doesn't know how to keep up with customer service.
Ordered 3 pc set of Swiss gear luggage…
Ordered 3 pc set of Swiss gear luggage from AMAZON in August for $590.48. Used large suitcase for the 1st time this December. Thought the wheel was wobbly when we pushed it to the car going to the airport. It arrived with one wheel completely missing on a short flight and another wheel and casing are ready to fall out. I have photos of the damaged suitcase that I included on my emails that bounced back. Too late to return to Amazon past 30 day order timeframe. They advised I call or email Swiss Gear directly. That was two weeks ago and I have left 4 messages and had 2 emails returned undeliverable. Now I see that the set is on sale for $377.99. Just want my money refunded and will gladly return all 3 pieces when they send a postage paid box. Used cheaper luggage on multiple international trips over the years./ Invested in a set we thought was a reputable company, but obviously not. Amazon is working on letting me go back in to my order, so I can warn other Amazon buyers in the reviews section.
Swiss gear Customer service and product quality sucks
The customer service is being provided by two agents at this company who never picks up the phone and if you get lucky and someone picks up after trying 100 times then agent hung up. This company's 10-year warranty is a joke and fake as they are running a scam company. They expect us to send seam label in a trackable mail after spending some money and then they may send a discount code as their response is scripted about wheels for a bag that was never used with any airline. I have even left a message with many staff members including CEO and no one cares to respond. It is a better to buy a cheap and possibly better-quality bags from Walmart at less than half price. As this company's online web portal sucks, customer service is absolutely terrible, disgusting and disgraceful. I had bought these bags from Costco and Costco should stop selling Swiss gear bags altogether and should not put their members through this company who is running a scam of 10-year warranty. Everyone should boycott Swiss gear products. Looks like Swiss gear is running this company from a garage as their support is completely unprofessional. Shame on Swiss gear management.
