Bad working

Nothing more than a sketchy bank that hires nothing but bitter, mentally disturbed people for employees that you can't even have a decent conversation with. Avoid like the plague. Pretty much represents the bottom 20% of Latvia.
They wanted £250 to open a basic account. The customer service was shameful also.
If you already have a bank account, I would not recommend opening one here.
The internet banking is terrible. On other websites, I only have to authenticate once for a session. On Swedbank website, I have to log in again whenever I press a button. And to get something done, I have to log in again and again until something works by chance. I made a complaint about this, and they told me there was no technical issue.
I don't know about its affiliates in other countries, but the Latvian branch is surely not yet in the mindset of establishing credibility. It sees every additional service as an opportunity to scam. I had been using its home insurance for some time, and upon submitting a claim, they told me that because the (water damaged) floor could still be used, the damage was only cosmetic and they would not be compensating for it. I doubt they have ever made any payout.
Too pompous. They think that the customers should be elated that they get to use their overpriced services. They charge over 5 euros a month just to keep an account open. They charge over 0.30 eur per transaction within EU unless it is within their own banking system. If you want to use a bank that has the face control as if it is the hottest club in the city, but only has grannies inside, then go ahead and use Swedbank. Btw its customers get scammed the most within Latvia. So in summary they have:
1. Shittiest customer service.
2. Highest upkeep costs
3. Highest barriers to entry
4. Lowest ease of use (you have to have 2 - 3 additional apps to go through authorization to make a payment online, no matter if it is 5 eur or 5000 eur).
And as a bonus, god forbid you send your friend 50 eur as a thank you for treating you before ---> banned / blocked to explain why that transaction happened.
If you want a North Korean bank, then use Swedbank i.e. NorthBank.
After struggling a lot with a Swiss bank as a private user, I admit that Swedbank Latvia is almost a perfect bank :D. Almost ideal i-banking, fast and helpful replies to all my questions via e-bank messaging, no issues with the debit card etc etc. Please come to Switzerland!
One of your Latvian country men smashed into the back of me while I was stopped behind a car in the carpark, all dizzy and red faced from the 37° heat he was in from 10am till 2pm. Nothing happened to his car because of his metal bumper but he smashed my left bumper and sensors. This was in August and this stupid insurance hasn’t agreed to pay for my car. Your all a bunch of scamming Baltic robbing see you n t s !!!!!!
Horrible Bank with all service around
Every second time the payment not complete.Every time need to check myself
For all moves they take commission and never provide normal vide
Internet bank is unbelievably stupid
Also permanent problems with every task
P.S Choose any other Bank in Latvia
Never work with them specially with company questions
1/5⭐️🤬🤬🤬🤬
Today, Swedbank has blocked my wife's payment for rent because the comment to the payment included my legal name which is Ivan.
Apparently, it is criminal today in Latvia to have the Russian name Ivan regardless because Latvians our entire lives.
The all does not have a live chat with the bank. They require sending ID which is not possible either.
Just remembered how about ten years ago when I was hired in Riga to interpret for Swedbank when they were implementing their new interface. Back then Swedbank wanted to skip payment to our agency because we were supposedly poorly interpreting in Russian.
I am very upset and even mad because Swedbank is nothing but a bunch of greedy liars. Within 20 years, they have managed to turn the best Latvian bank Hansabank into something ugly and customer unfriendly. No wonder all our friends in Latvia have stopped using them.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND OPENING A SWEDBANK COMPANY ACCOUNT
When I first visited them and tried to open a company bank account, the branch employee told me that hardly anyone opens a company account at Swedbank, which immediately made me skeptical. After waiting for 20 minutes while the employee read through the requirements (since she wasn't specialized in this topic), I was informed that everything was fine and I needed to visit their bank office the following Monday at 15:00. When I did so, they informed me that there had been several mistakes, including errors in my appointment times, and now I had to wait for an hour until a free spot became available. After that hour passed, I was informed that it wasn't possible to proceed at that moment, and that I would have to apply online. Not to mention, that employees made me feel guilty about everything - but in fact, it was 100% their mistake. How can I send an appointment confirmation number to myself? How can I not trust what their employee tells me? 100% their fault! I am deeply disappointed with this bank and will certainly use a different banking provider for my company. This was a circus that cost me a lot of resources and time...
Thank you Swedbank Latvia and especially your Imanta branch.
O stars!!!
Absolutely disgusting!!! Transfer money from one account to another just within working days!!! So they keep money to play with it and get profit and then return to you next day or after weekend.
Absolutely ridiculous!
All over Europe if you Transfer money ,you receive it straight away at any day at any time!!!!
For this is the best bank. I have an account in few banks all around the world and Swedbanks is one of the best with great security system. But still few things could be better:
1) The interface of using the online banking is pretty difficult, sometimes it's really problem to find something that you looking for
2) There is no option, to send the money straight to debit card, that is very good option that provide other banks
Everything else is just perfect for me!
I have a company bank account. Swedbank blocked our customer money from Slovakia. 3days have passed and still they have not resolved the issue. Closing all accounts in this bank. Don't trust this bank.
I have been a customer with this bank for 7 years through my company and 1 year for my personal account. I can say they do not put any focus on treating their customers well. They just send me a message yesterday to inform me that they were closing all my accounts. I therefore, contacted them to ask them to kindly provide me a reason as a decency. When I contacted the person in charge they kept telling me "we have no obligation" "we have no obligation" "we have no obligation" again and again and again and shut me down when I requested to speak to the person in charge. Ofcourse they have no obligation but why not being polite about it.
Super stupid bank!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Americans stay away!!!!!!!!
They do not open accounts for Americans!!!!!!!!!!!
Greatest and most popular bank in Latvia
Their services are cheap and easy to use. Nothing more to say.
