Very sneakily put the automatic renewal…

Very sneakily put the automatic renewal on without my consent. It doesn't matter what you think I'm the customer and should have full control when it comes to removing money from my account without my say so. you had no right to do that, I never agreed for you to automatically renew anything. you stole my money end of story and I want it back. I dont want to here any excuses from you so dont bother replying with any.

Hi there! Auto-renewal is enabled by default to ensure your VPN protection isn't interrupted. However, you can always find the renewal date and price in the subscription tab of Surfshark's web app, and cancel it with just a few easy steps. If you subscribed via Google Play or the Apple App Store, you'll need to cancel directly through them. Once auto-renewal is canceled, no further charges should take place.

I’ve been using Surfshark daily for at…

I’ve been using Surfshark daily for at least 3 years now and it just works, continuously, effortlessly. I have certain apps that I don’t want running through the vpn, so I set it once and forget it; the apps I want through the vpn, go through the vpn and the ones that I don’t, just don’t. I use Surfshark on my laptop, iPhone and my TVs. I have it on my router for devices that don’t permit app installation. I have it on my Fire TV Cube and Firestick 4k Max. I buy the reduced cost 2 year offer so it’s really very good value especially as it covers all of my devices for just one cost.

I highly recommend Surfshark for privacy and security. I’m a happy Surfshark customer and will remain so!

Amazing customer support!

I've been a surfshark client for 2 years and love the ease of use and security it gives me.

Today I needed to chat into support with concerns and was helped by Justo. The speed and efficiency of your support process is wonderful!

It's very rare to start a call with a chatbot, be transferred to a live agent and have a resolution to your query in under 5 minutes - I am in awe!

Surfshark - is my AV. I have relied on them for a few years now since changing from Bitdefender.
I had a False Positive query - very important to me. The first Surfshark Support responder gave me a stock standard nonsense reply. Once I pointed out that my query was being "blown off" the next Surfshark Support person was excellent!! Surfshark kept reassuring me that my query was being dealt with whilst it was being elevated. This is excellent! Then when they solved the problem - they let me know. I would suggest Surfshark has been a good move for my internet security. Thank you Surfshark!!

Getting an accurate answer from a real person instead of battling and ignorant AI know nothing computer is still the BEST way to promote any product. Seeing the end of AI will be the best thing ever. Lorelei Sutton is worth TEN billion dollar AI computers.

Whether it makes my internet more secure or not, I cannot measure that. Banks for example wont allow use of their portal through VPN.
It helps me watching foreign broadcasts

Surfshark banned my account twice in one week for no reason, refused a refund, and told me "goodbye." Here's what you need to know before buying.

Been using Surfshark for a few years with no issues. Connected on laptop, phone and Firestick, that's 3 devices. Never did anything dodgy aside from streaming Netflix from different territories.

Then out of nowhere, my account gets suspended. I contact support. They give me this robotic wall of text about how their "automated infrastructure maintenance system detected network resource usage anomalies associated with service abuse", listing things like DDoS attacks, mass account sharing and reselling access to third parties. For context, I have three personal devices on the official app.
They send me a password reset link and my account is restored, only to be blocked again the very next day. To be clear: after getting access back, I was only logged in on my laptop and hadn't even used it yet before it was blocked again at 4am.

I asked them what anomalies. What data. What exactly I did. Nothing. Just a copy paste pointing me to their Terms of Service. So I emailed their support team with every detail they requested. Three devices, sole user, official apps, normal browsing. Their final response:
"This decision is final, and no further communication will change the course of this action. Goodbye and take care."

Months left on a prepaid subscription. No refund. No evidence. No human review. Just an algorithm and a door in the face.

This isn't a one off either. Multiple users have reported the exact same scripted response, the same vague "service abuse" excuse and the same flat refusal to refund.

There are plenty of better VPNs out there, I'm switching to ProtonVPN. I'd strongly advise against Surfshark, especially their long term plans. They can pull the rug at any moment, pocket your money and wish you well on your way out.

Here's some context on why account blocks can happen.

We offer unlimited device connections so users can protect all their household devices. Unfortunately, this feature is sometimes misused for prohibited activities, like unauthorized reselling or large-scale automated activities. It can put a heavy load on our network and impact performance for other users.

To address this, we use an automated system that detects technical red flags associated with service abuse (extremely high numbers of simultaneous connections or drastic traffic volume spikes) and blocks such accounts.

Because of our strict no-logs policy, we don't know what specific activity triggered the block. While the system only responds to significant anomalies, and false positives are very rare, we do take reports of possible errors seriously and investigate them.
