Superprof has been a great platform for me as a tutor. It has generated a small but consistent stream of students, and it’s a solid way to build tutoring business over time. Like anything, you get out what you put in—if you stay active, respond quickly, and keep your profile updated, it can definitely pay off. I’d recommend it to tutors who are willing to be persistent and engage regularly with the platform.

Very disappointed with this online tutoring. I spend a month trying to get a tutor and evertime I schedule it was always a excuse from a tutor or no response. I never got to schedule a tutor for my Son. They always canceled.
This site is fake.
I emailed them for over two weeks to get a refund for my following month and still to this day they havent responded.
Lost of time and MONEY!!!!

Superprof’s website prominently advertises tutors with hourly rates everywhere — “$25/hour”, “$40/hour”, etc. The entire browsing experience is built around comparing tutors by those hourly prices, which naturally makes you believe you are paying the tutor’s rate to start lessons.
What is not made clear during browsing is that contacting a tutor actually triggers a $49 monthly “Student Pass” subscription. This requirement is not shown alongside the advertised hourly rates and only appears later in the payment process after you’ve already selected a tutor and entered payment information expecting to pay that tutor’s rate.
Because the platform heavily emphasizes tutor hourly pricing, the subscription requirement feels buried in the process. The result is a bait-and-switch pricing experience where users think they are paying the tutor’s hourly rate but are instead charged a monthly subscription to message them. I never received any tutoring services.
I contacted support immediately after seeing the charge and canceled right away, but my refund request was refused.
Designing a platform this way — highlighting hourly tutor prices while inserting a separate subscription fee later — shows a serious lack of transparency in how the service is presented to customers. Anyone considering this platform should understand how the pricing actually works before entering payment details.

Great application; students can easily reach a tutor, and as a tutor, I can receive reminders and messages via email initially.

Superprof is a great platform, easy to navigate, and supported by a very responsive customer service team. Although payments can take a few days to process and the booking system can feel somewhat cumbersome when managing multiple ads or blocking availability, I still recommend the platform overall. I use it to teach communication and presentation skills to both students and professionals.

Misleading payment process. They make you sign up for a subscription when you’re trying to book a lesson. Refused to give a refund. Borderline scam.

Excellent app

This is a scam based in India. Your booked tutor will suddenly be unable to attend and the Indian substitute will provide the lesson. The money will already have been taken from you. There is nothing you can do. The lesson did not deal with the Welsh specification as I had asked.

We found a great basketball skills coach for my daughter immediately on this app. But the app itself could use some UI upgrades. Navigation is a little confusing. It took me 20 minutes to figure out how to leave a review for the coach.
