Poor website design. Difficult for potential tutor to get messages efficiently. Needs improvement to make it more user friendly. The tutor herself is great though.

Not mentioned or made in the fine print is the 49$/month membership fee just to be able to contact a tutor. It is an automatic recurring charge. Tutor fees are on top of that 49$ monthly fee.

The charge goes through when a tutor accepts your request. Requested one-on-one tutoring and got a tutor that lives far away and requested extra funds to cover the distance. Then why did he accept if he cant do it? Got charged for something that is useless.

Edit 10/24/2025. Provider requested screenshot of membership activation conversation in which I had stated the travel distance for the tutor to accept. Even though I never requested a refund during the complaint, the provider gave a full refund- which is much appreciated. Gave an additional star for the unexpected customer service.

With a few enhancement to usability and support, it has strong potential to transform how learning engagement are structured - particularly in freelance or alternative.

I was looking for an Italian Tutor and went to this site. I paid the $49 thinking that would get me started with lessons. Nope! They take the $49 and that’s just to get access to their list of tutors. You can’t put that money towards lessons or anything. It’s a total scam! Avoid this site or anything to do with it!

It works and helps both a student and a tutor.

Compared to some options of $300/mth for 4 hrs of tutoring, SuperProof with affordable and very competent tutors like Davis can’t be beat.

They charged me $49 just to be able to contact a tutor. NONE of the tutors were available. The platform did not offer any value and no services were given. Also their customer service in unapologetic - it seems they're experienced with this scenario.

It’s good experience, and the Superprof help me to do my best because I am confortable during the lesson time and the student is happy.

Good platform, excellent tutor but the platform charges $49 a month which is a lot on top of the tutor. Platform fee should be lower

I had a lot of great students from Superprof! It was very easy to start my music business from scratch because of their help.

Pros:
-Superprof provides a platform to bring student and teacher together easily.
-The sign up and profiling process is simple and user friendly and allows the instructor enough freedom to explain their service properly.
-I appreciate that credentials can be uploaded.
-As an instructor it is nice to have clear guidance on how to advance to the next level on the platform.
-The site handles the collection and release of funds for payment.
-Webcam service is provided if an instructor does not have their own but it is not mandatory to use it.

Cons:
-The site was not user friendly for students when it came to scheduling.
-There was a lag in initially getting word that I had a message from a prospective student.
-The student had difficulty getting their payment in.
Fortunately, we were able to get on a call and I helped them through the process.
-It took a couple of days or more after my lesson for Superprof to release by funds to my Paypal account. This coupled with the process of releasing funds from paypal to my account and their 3-5 day lag time means that I can anticipate waiting a week before funds to actually reach me.

Overall I appreciate a professional site to be present on, have opportunity to showcase well, be provided tools to meet with students online, receive payments, give and receive feedback and be part of a larger community. Making the site more intuitive and user friendly for students would be helpful.

The experience of teaching made me great because the the whole process of my teaching is smooth. It was the platform that made my work very well.

Very easy to access a list of tutors. A very big thing for me was they have tutors who are specific to children with learning disabilities such as ADHD, autism, etc. the tutor is very understanding of my daughter's learning disability and very competent in her tutoring skills working with kids as such.

Great place to connect with talented tutors.

Jessica Chan has provided me vocal tools to improve my ability to continue to sing better.

She understand my goals and is very attuned to my needs. Each lesson is enjoyable and rewarding.
