Dangerous level of unprofessionalism — do NOT use this company
On October 1, 2025 at about 9:30 pm we were left stranded and treated appallingly by Supercity Security (NZ). A friend’s car was behind the gates they control; when I called for assistance — during the very “24/7 service” they advertise — the staff member on the phone was abusive, dismissive, and repeatedly hung up on us. Follow-up calls were ignored.
This was not a minor rudeness issue — it was a shocking and dangerous level of unprofessionalism. For a security company to behave this way is unacceptable: they showed a complete lack of concern for people’s safety and wellbeing, and a shocking disrespect for customers. Businesses that hire them should be warned: this company’s behaviour can directly harm customer trust and could put people in vulnerable situations.
We have supported the businesses that use this security provider as paying customers, and it is unacceptable that a contractor they rely on would treat people like this. Based on this experience I strongly advise all customers and businesses to avoid Supercity Security (NZ). I am considering taking further action given the seriousness of what happened.
