Another Late Delivery

Similar experience to other users. Ordered well over a week in advance but it didn't arrive. DO NOT TRUST THEIR NEXT DAY DELIVERY INFO. It's just a lie. Clearly it hasn't worked for many of us and a lame apology only after we've complained is simply not good enough. I am not a frequent review writer but the service was so poor I felt I had to. Do. Not. Shop. With. Them.

VERY slow delivery

Ordered a Japanese Mystery Box on Monday 3rd March and the email confirmation stated next day delivery. By Monday 10th March I was beginning to wonder where my order was so I emailed the company and they were quick to respond to explain that my order had not been dispatched until the Friday and that the delivery time should be taken from then. I responded to ask for a further update as next day delivery meant it should've arrived no later than Monday 10th (excluding the weekend). I didn't get a further response.
The order eventually turned up on Wednesday 12th, 9 days after ordering with next day delivery.
The box contained 8 items, some of the packaging was dented and overall I don't think they were worth the money. The box was meant to be a gift which I now have to give late and badly presented.
I wouldn't buy from this company again.

We are sorry about the delay in getting your order out. We had a week of difficult warehouse issues resulting in our orders going out 3 days later than usual (we only dispatch on weekdays), so I can only apologise for the delay with your order. We have resolved the issues today and are back to normal as of 12 March.

Please do send photos of any damage done by the courier, so we can rectify ASAP. It is important to us that we sort these issues out.

Disappointing American mystery box…

Ordered the large American mystery box £30.....WASTE OF MONEY-AVOID
Only 12 items , 5 of which were cans of pop. Poorly packaged, limited internal packaging meaning the cans had bounced around in the box & damaged & crushed the few other items. They were for a birthday present but embarrassed to gift on.
Will not use again & would not reccomend.

AVOID…The most over priced box ever

AVOID…The most over priced box ever. NO WAY is this to the Value of £35, it’s £10 at best and even that is over priced. The cans of pop were dented/damaged and close to use by date. In fact most of the items were close to use by date. There were loads of variety pack items so not full size, and 99.9% of these items you can buy at most shops and at half the price.
When you complain you get offered £5 in store credit IF YOU REMOVE YOUR BAD REVIEW. The company should improve their service instead of trying to remove bad reviews. Do not listen to the 5star reviews I fell for that too.

I ordered the large American mystery…

I ordered the large American mystery box on the 11th, paid £33 with next day delivery. My package arrived on the 15th, therefore not next day delivery. When the package arrived, I could not believe how little was in the box. I would NEVER order from this company again. Complete waste of money. The items have arrived damaged and unbranded. Definitely not worth the money. Do not waste your time / money on this company.

I have bought surprise candy boxes for…

I have bought surprise candy boxes for my kids stockings every year from various places online and they always ALWAYS come with the same usual stuff. My kids last year were saying oh we’ve had this before etc etc so I tried to find somewhere different and ordered from here. Every SINGLE item was something I’ve never seen before and they’ve never tried! They’re going to be so so happy, also the shipping was so fast! Amazing honest lovely company will be buying from here every year.

Amazing service

Ordered a drinks mystery box and a few chocolate bars for my sons Christmas present and it arrived well packaged and within 4 days of ordering (3 days before Christmas!) Excellent service, will definitely be ordering here again :)

Nothing American about these boxes

I have received my box today. However I am very disappointed In everything I have brought i could of brought all of this from the local shop. There is nothing American about these mystery boxes at all and they are not worth the money

Once again I'm really happy with the…

Once again I'm really happy with the products received, the mystery boxes can be great value for money when you see what other places are charging/selling. When there was a problem with the delivery of my order, it wassorted really quickly. Outstanding customer service even at an incredibly busy time of year. We will definitely be back with further orders!

Ordered three boxes

Ordered three boxes. One drinks, one candy and one cakes and cookies to give as treat boxes. First off the presentation was awful. Expected some sort of box like other American candy box distributors but this stuff was just dumped in plastic bags. The candy bag was fine, the drinks were not great very bog standard and half we can buy in our local supermarket but still reasonable value for money. The third ‘box’ was the American cakes and it was rubbish. 6 items mostly squashed by the cans and bottled they had packed on top of them. Selection was rubbish. 6 items including a bag of mini Oreo’s!!! Too rubbish to give as a gift for sure and given the presentation is plastic bags not boxes they’re no good for gifts. Sweets and drinks were good value however. Cakes - well that box was rubbish and very overpriced for what was included. to say the least. Overall pretty disappointed.

OUT OF DATE ITEMS

Bàught a 100 pound mystery box and 2 bottles of Mexican coca cola half the mystery box items are all out of date by over 6 months and both the coca cola are out of date by 1 year

Thank you for your review. As mentioned on email, American dates are back to front so there is most likely a confusion over the actual date.

We do not sell anything with those types of dates and certainly wouldn’t put them in a mystery box.

Anything past best before date is put in the sale section and heavily discounted and is not put into mystery boxes. We also only received the Mexican Coke recently.

We have responded to you on email asking for photos of the dates so we can explain this to you, and emailed again yesterday asking for you to come back to us, but you have not replied, and we are therefore unable to help further at this point.

The best online shop for confectionary by far

I ordered 6 mystery boxes and over £100 of additional drinks and snacks and was worried about how much I had spent and what I would get, but I was so pleased with everything! It was well packaged and customer service was fantastic (I had one missing 20p sweet which was refunded promptly). Thanks Sugar Box.

Thank you sugar box for rectifying a…

Thank you sugar box for rectifying a packaging and communication issue with my order. Items came well wrapped this time, no breakages after several items in my original order arrived broken with very little packaging. Please support a family run business. I will have some very happy children on Christmas Day. Will be ordering again in the future.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service, I made a mistake with my email , and had a response form them in 10 minutes- sweets came and apparently there amazing( by the time I’d got to them- they’d eaten them all) , it included quite a few we’d never seen, so was really impressed. Problem is now I’ve got to get them for Xmas 👍👍

Disappointing

I received a supposedly "large box" with items missing fair enough they have sent on the other items which I've now received, I was offered a refund if i didnt want the remaining items but pretty pointless so I accepted the extra 3 items for the box which I still stick to the point the box
isn't large at all! I am disappointed with box and won't be using these guys again.

No stock

I've bought a lot of jelly beans from them and they're always top quality. There wasn't enough left in stock last time I purchased something so i got a handwritten note of them apologising and I got a bag of mixed beans. Really thankful that they wrote that message.

Good value for money and great selection of food and drink!

My package arrived very quickly and felt like I got good value for money on my order! I usually go for a box where I allow the food/drink to be chosen by the people working there and I think it’s a great way of sampling new things! I would definitely recommend and will be back again :)
