I have a yearly online subscription …

I have a yearly online subscription that I've been unable to access any material January onwards.
They upgraded the app and it keeps trying to make me pay for January onwards.
I've been emailing customer services but each response is by a different operator and they keep stating the same solutions which do not work.
Since I request the fault be escalated I've had no response.
Poor service I will not be renewing my subscription!

No apology. That's all it would have needed.

I recently emailed and expressed my dissatisfaction with the Elle magazine and explained that I could get the magazine quicker from the shops and on more than one occasion I didn't get the free gift?!?! I asked for this subscription to be cancelled. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY! That's all it would have needed. but NO all i got was we have done this. So sorry Elle I wont now even buy this in the shops. They have let you down.

Wording of renewal email makes it seem like they are a bill collector

"Final Notice Before Suspension" Seriously? How about wording it like. Renewal email for Car and Driver.

"When we billed you for your Car and Driver digital edition subscription, we fully believed you would send payment upon receipt of your invoice."

If I paid for 1 year, that's 1 year. If you want me to renew, you'd better send something better than saying you're suspending my subscription. If you practice better communication with your subscribers and treat them with respect, maybe they will be willing to renew.

tricking people into subscriptions

The email was for an entry for a Disney vacation trip when I clicked submit I discovered I had ordered a Redbook subscription. I don't want it and won't pay for it. This is a really bad way to get people to subscribe. NOT happy. C. Fulton

Terrible customer service, awful company

Remind me to never, ever buy a magazine online from Hearst Magazines!

I struggle to find Cosmpolitan Body in some shops, so thought i'd order online! Was easy enough to do, and was very pleased with the fact delivery was free. I presumed it may take a little longer as it was free standard delivery, however I ordered on the 9th July, it's now the 31st July and still no magazine!

I've sent about 8 emails in total and received 3 back. When they finally decided to reply, I was told to wait 10-14 days before they could offer a refund. I waited then emailed again when still no magazine, ignored several times before they told me to wait 28 days. I politely told them, this was ridiculous, time I had to wait had doubled since my first email and I highly doubt it will be delivered now if it hasn't already. Also pointed out their customer service is awful, as every email I had to send 2-3 times before they even bothered to reply (days later may I add).

Their website claims they can re-send the magazine if not received after 5 days, but I wasn't even given this much. All I want is a refund, as it's taken that long for the magazine to be delivered it is now out of date and a new issue is on the shelves.

Appreciate it may not be there fault that it's been lost in the post, but it's way they've handled the situation.... absolutley no offer to re-post the magazine, no offer of compensation and being made to wait 28 days for a refund just to confirm what I already know....that the magazine still hasn't turned up on my front door!

Really don't bother, just go to the shops you might actually get the magazine that way.

Terrible, can't deliver magazines, won't refund.

I started a subscription four months ago and they've never been able to correctly deliver the magazine Good Housekeeping.

At first they were delivering it to an incorrect address, for the first 3 months I contacted them each time to change the address they had on file. They assured me it had changed but then sent it to the wrong address each time.

The forth issue wasn't sent at all! They assured me they'd send me out a replacement issue as a priority. It never arrived and when I followed it up they said they'd ran out. They've refused to refund or cancel my subscription and said it not their policy to refund and quoted the contract to me, despite them not delivering the magazine correctly on any occasion.

Terrible service, couldn't possibly be any worse, it's a magazine subscription and they're not delivering it. How hard can it be? Their customer service are friendly, but offer empty words as the things they promise they've fixed remain broken.

They've took my money, failed to provide the service, and refuse to refund.

So quick and easy!

One of the quickest/simplest order processes I've seen. Took me no longer than 30 seconds to enter my info and got the subscription at the best price!
