I Rented from a Racist Landlord in Nice, Frane

I rented from a landlord in Nice, France for 4 ish months. As I was leaving with three suitcases, one fell down the stairwell, obviously causing noise. I rushed downstairs to apologize profusely to the neighbors who seemed understanding. After I left my landlord sent me multiple audio messages cussing me out, telling me to go back to my country and that I was dirty. I have never been insulted to that level of filth in my life. I reported it to Studapart and they suggested going to a neutral peace officer but did nothing regarding my landlord who is still leasing to people in Nice and has my deposit. Be warned.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. I rented an apartment in Troyes (France). The landlord has been taking money from my bank account (1740€ in total). And the customer service are not willing to do anything to help me receive the money back. They say that there hosts are verified and secure, but in reality they don't know anything. I would recommend choosing another platform such as AirBnb.

Vampire platform

Not the first time I use this platform, definitely the last time. The application fee is high but tolerable, while the service is not, even though I am the so-called Guaranteed Profile user. They don't care about your experience in the residence, they don't even put extra effort on improving it. All they do is "we are contacting the residence, we'll get back to you." I can't believe I trusted them to argue with the residence for my legal rights.
The best way of being secured in a residence is to find a nice landlord or residence. DON'T SPEND MONEY ON THIS VAMPIRE!!!

DO NOT BOOK WITH Studapart

Do not book with Studapart. I received an invoice of 430€ and they gave me one week to pay, without taking my situation into account (I'm an Erasmus student with a scholarship, and the rent is very pricey here in Paris). They are there to help, they say, but the chat with the owner is usually blocked and difficult to use, so I found it better to chat with the owner of the apt via Whatsapp and they accused me of "contournement" and blackmailed me that they would have start a administrative and judicial procedure if I didn't pay.
I also participated to a Webinar where NOBODY was clear on the reservation fees that we should pay.
So, there is plenty of websites that are FAR more useful than STUDAPART and that don't STEAL your money, go check them (Lacartedescolocs for example).

Wonderful experience

Great experience with Studapart, the team is really helpful and active. Specially, Ms Imane helped me alot throughout the booking of accommodation, may it be in terms of payments or contacting the landlord.

Thanks to Studapart

Thanks to Studapart, I have gotten an accommodation after house hunting for two months in france, I will be moving to my new place in November 2023. . I also like their customer services, they were always accommodating and explain to me when I ask them questions.I recommend Studapart to anybody searching for an accommodation.

Biggest waste of time

Biggest waste of time
When I tell you I spent months on here looking for somewhere to live I mean MONTHS. From March until October I used Studapart and not one offer ended up working out. This was the biggest stress of my life and this is time I will NEVER get back. Avoid at all costs if you want to find somewhere quickly and efficiently. Also in France a lot of places will let you have a guarantor from another country, therefore guarantme actually isn't that great either.

Bad Costumer Service

Studapart wrote on their website that if someone wants you to pay a deposit before entering the appartement it‘s most likely a scam. After I booked an apartement on Studapart the landlord demanded us to pay 7000€ deposit otherwise we can‘t enter. Afterwards I tried to contact Studapart and it took forever for them to answer. They said I can only cancel a booking through their web chat but even now after 4 days no one has replied to me on that chat. Finally someone answered through email and I canceled the booking and now Studapart doesn‘t want to return the money I already paid to them for fees and first month rent, even though they wrote that it’s a scam! I canceled 24 hours after booking it. Really bad service!

Thank you, Studapart!
I was very concerned about accommodation at my study-abroad destination because of my last experience in France ( I failed to find my new accommodation, which forced me to go back to my country)
This platform was simple to use once you got used to it, and the best part was the quick response and support from the Studapart team. They were so helpful.

Thanks to Studapart, I could successfully find my new house in France.
I hope I can safely move in there.

I paid 2000 euros and i still dont have an appartement

I paid 2000 euros, and i still dont have my appartement.
I paid and the next day the landlord said that the appartment was already given to someone else.
I ask for my money back and wrote to studapart.
Then the landlord said he can give me another appartement for the same price, but i said that i already ask for my money back.
The mext day studapart calls me and say that i have to accpet the landlord offer and if dont i wont have my money back, and now the landlord is saying that he's not obbligated to give me the room.

I booked for the 11/09/2023

I dont have an appartment and i dont have my 2000 euros...

Oh no, the landlord's information is missing

Contacted their agents through their chat system regarding my booking issues(The owner of this accommodation must update his payment information before you can accept the proposition. Don't worry, we just sent a reminder. We will notify you by email as soon as you can go on with the reservation (estimated time: 24 hours).), yet no one has answered since 1st September 2023, on 4th September 2023 someone answered with a template answer without solving the issues. Already emailed them yet no one replied either.

The owner forced me to leave room and now Studapart took all my money

Hi everyone,

I am Manoj. studapart took my money and neither refunded nor responded to my mails.

I had such a terrible experience in my entire life

My owner told me that I should leave the room next day morning on my entry day night. The owner did not let me speak when I asked him the reason. He asked for studapart gurantee after entering the room that too at night time but before payment of rent and service charge, the owner told me no necessary at all to take studapart gurantee and is satisfied with Garantme so when I asked him is garantme is okay for him or not when he asked me to take studapart gurantee that night the owner simply came to a judgement that he doesn't need me, he shouted and disrespected me.

And another interesting part, about deposit the owner told me to give Depozen contract instead of deposit, but during applying for my Depozen contract, I asked for details about room with owner to apply but the owner did not answered and replied. Simply he told me he doesn't need me. And he did not let me speak after coming back to room and at night time suddenly he opened my room door and forced me to leave the room next morning.

When I asked for reason to leave apartment, the owner told me he doesn't need me and everything is mess with me.

Since then, I have been contacting studapart that next day morning was sunday so studapart closed
and now no response no refund is what I got from them.

Now I had lost my money and staying in hotels

As my collegue told you, we have spoken with the owner and he has informed us that you have not provided him with a security deposit and home insurance. These are the reasons why he did not accept you in his apartment. However, we are sorry that this occurred under these circumstances.
Under French law, before signing any rental contract, the tenant must provide the landlord with a security deposit and a certificate of home insurance.
The landlord as accepted to pay back the first month's rent.

Very bad experience

Very bad experience. Haven't yet got my deposit back. Already been 2 months. The landlord ignores when he has to pay back the deposit. It's like a scam. And studapart customer services team is also unable to help. Don't go for studapart.

I accepted a booking and then the landlord said it was already rented, but I already had payed for it and got contract of assurances and accomodation, now I can not contact the landlord , and I have been trying to contact the studapart team via chat an calling, but nobody is answering me.
