DON’T EVER TAKE A TRIAL. BIG REGRET

Tried a trial like others here and cancelled the subscription, as I don't use it enough. Still took the annual subscription of £54.99.
Complained to apple, who must be part of the scam, because they decline any refund request.
Looks like it will be taken every year now with no way of cancelling, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, just don't risk it.
Find an honest company for your trail recording. (Hoping that closing my bank account will stop the subscription)

had a free trail for a week charged me ive canceled my subscription and sent 3/4 emails to confirm id like a refund which I am entitled to do as I am well inside my 14 day period. however no one has replied or anything its been 8 days now. very boring and disappointing customer service.

FATMAP is killed due a poor Strava Quality!!

They were not able to put FATMAP functionality inside their own app and refuse to pay refund for those that have purchage FATMAP licence.

Company with 0 customer focus and also destroy companies that were doing a good work,

Avoid

I got a subscription a year ago. After a few months the app kept crashing. So, I cancelled my account. This weekend I had a notification from my bank to say a withdrawal of £54.99 had been taken from my account. There was no notification of this. I don't have automatic renewal on any accounts, but Strava don't have an opt out and just take it anyway. They don't send any notifications of cancellations or any changes. There is no way of contacting customer services. This leaves them free to help themselves to your money every year

Recently taken £54.99 without any consent and without any prior warning via an email, they also done this before my renewal date. Have contacted customer services, which incidentally they try to make as confusing as possible, and had no reply, judging by other people’s reviews I’m not holding out much hope. Be warned if you start a subscription to remember renewal date as they won’t remind you.
Update 25th September I initially gave a one star review, but I have since received an email stating they were working through a back log and please be patient, they have now returned the £54.99 with an apology. So due to them rectifying my issue I have updated to 4 stars.

Only because I can't zero star them

Only because I can't zero star them. They've taken £55 without my consent and with no warning. Ignoring emails and no other way to contact them. I'm absolutely disgusted. I was intending to use them in future when the subscription would have been needed but definitely not now. Lots of ppl having issues with the shocking lack of customer support given that they charge!!

Customer support took a month to reply.

Customer support does not exist other than a bot. I am trying to give them money for a subscription and just get sent in circles by the USELESS A.I. system.
UPDATE::: A human being has been in touch. It may have taken a month but once a human was involved my issue was fixed quickly.
Obviously the managment do not employ enough customer service personel. These days this is a very poor show.

Strava Support

Strava Support - there is no support. I have a paid subscription with zero assistance. They use their standard Q&A to answer but I need manual intervention as the Q&A recommends. What is happening Strava?

There should be another platform that takes the monopoly maybe then they will listen?

Ther are better options out there

I am not very tech savvy, but about a year ago I acquired a secondhand smart 'phone and signed up to monthly (i.e. non Pay As You Go) 'phone tariff. As a keen runner since 2pm on the 11th September 1988, I thought it time for me to fully join the tech infested running age and get the free Strava app that those in my Running Club were using. Alas, it did not seem to be available, so I signed up to an annual membership. I found it very baffling but that's normal for me with technology. I was once a very competitive runner. If I was more than a few seconds off my PB on my morning run I would fret! Old age and the effects of a bug having destroyed part of my lungs has changed that, and I am now just an enthusiastic plodder who knows his limitations. My needs are simple and limited these days, All I need to know is the distance run, the time it took and the elevation climbed. Strava does offer this, and much, much more. I do not need the much, much more and I am totally baffled by it - but I am paying for it handsomely. A year on and a little more tech savvy, I looked into other options that might suit my needs. I found one on google store (which is not reviewed by the running press because there is nowt in it for them) tried it out, found it met my needs - and its free! I have cancelled my Strava subscription.
Strava may be the best option for enthusiastic, tech savvy runners, but for those with more limited needs, tech abilities or budgets, there are more suitable options out there.

Exceptional Service and Outstanding Support

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Strava's exceptional customer service. Despite being a couple of days late with my membership cancellation, the Strava support team [Bryant] handled my request promptly and with great understanding. They not only accepted my late cancellation but also ensured that the refund was processed swiftly back to my bank account.

The professionalism, efficiency, and kindness displayed by the Strava support team are truly commendable. Their outstanding service has left a lasting positive impression on me.

Thank you, Strava, for your excellent support and dedication to your users. I highly recommend Strava to anyone seeking a reliable and user-friendly fitness application with top-notch customer service.

Zero support, quick to take your money

I have been a Strava user for years but this year there has been a problem with my subscription. They took two lots of money. The bank organised a refund for one of the amounts but this has resulted in me having no subscription showing on the app. Emails to support bounce back and there appears to be no other way to contact them.

I feel scammed by a main stream company and am looking for an alternative going forward. It’s such a shame as I used to really enjoy the app.

Long time supporter but no more 👎

Was a long time supporter of this app as my friends and l ride alot. Stravas greed is something that has got us all withdrawing from the app and now use another app thats excellent & free. Strava has years of our data yet you are unable to go back through your past results and compare unless you pay their ridiculous membership costs ($100 aus.) like many if us are now doing, look elsewhere.
