Google. What the hell is going on with your prices?? Google hardware was always great value for money but now, it's got out of control. It's ridiculously expensive, especially compared with Amazon. I'... See more

Last Pixel for me
Trade-In valued my perfectly functioning phone at €0. Seems like a scam. This will be my last Google phone.
Had my Fitbit Versa 4 for just over a…
Had my Fitbit Versa 4 for just over a year. The first Versa 4 did not work at all. The replacement Versa has now decided that it cannot connect to my iPhone. Have tried everything that is on the help page.
Why I'll not buy Fitbit again.
Since taking over Fitbit, they have killed off email support.
The chat support simply churned out the same support advice, regardless of my replies.
I have given up resetting my aria scales to factory settings and trying to re pair with my phone. The Bluetooth on the scales just stopped pairing after an update. Two years later they still haven't managed to find a work back.
As for the App, they have done away with displaying my BMI, one of the most useful features!
So it looks like I have bought my last ever fitbit device!
Frustrating Experience with Google Store Customer Service
I'm writing to share my frustrating experience with Google Store's customer service, which seems to echo a troubling pattern reported by other reviewers.
Since Sunday, I have spent an estimated 5-6 hours across three separate chat sessions trying to resolve an issue concerning a refund and replacement for a defective Pixel 9A phone case.
Inconsistent and Incorrect Information: On two of the occasions, I was provided with incorrect information regarding the refund process for the defective case.
Replacement Denied: Despite receiving a refund credit—allegedly due to the poor service and incorrect information I received—Google is now stating I am not entitled to a replacement phone case, even though I have submitted the requested evidence.
Broken Promise: This contradicts what an advisor confirmed on Sunday, who explicitly stated it would be "no problem" and would raise an invoice for a credit to my account so I could arrange a collection for repair/replacement.
It's an absolute joke that a company of Google's size demonstrates such a severe lack of consistency and basic customer support. It is clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority, and there seems to be a significant failure in properly training advisors.
I certainly would not recommend purchasing from the Google Store given this appalling
I would literally rate this zero stars…
I would literally rate this zero stars if I could. Currently on multiple days and emails with email support. They keep asking me to verify myself to obtain help, which I've done and can't do anymore despite multiple additional requests. Meanwhile I am getting no help. The problem? Locked out of my Fitbit app after a password change. This has happened before and never ever have I seen a complete support breakdown for something obviously on their side. Changing the password myself does nothing.
Fitbit
I have bought Fitbits for years but they just don’t last. My latest model lasted 5 months. They tend to last for 6 months. You get a repair or replacement so you get the watch for one year so it costs £11 per month. It will be the last one I buy and I might move over to Apple.
They don't support veterans
Declined immediately not even given a chance
DO NOT PURCHASE
After being a customer of google for many years and their biggest fan it brings me great sadness to write this but it seems Google actually only have one priority and thats to take your money and offer no support when needed. I have purchased the Pixel 10 Pro from them and at the time purchased the charger also for £65. The charger hasnt worked from day one but I took time to check it with different plugs etc because I back their products but the item is just faulty. I had to buy a different charge and when i have enquired to have a refund but because their policy is one month return and I am one week out of it I have been offered a replacement (which i dont need now) or a google voucher for £50 (not even the full amount of the item). I have just spent around £1400 direct in their store and customer service now ignore me and refuse to look at the issue of £65 which seems extremely bad practice from such a large company. The products may be good such as the phone but dont waste your money with a company who only care for taking your money and not supporting you when needed, you will be better off spending money with other phone providers as Google are shockingly awful. If you sell an item that doesnt work you need to refund it when it can be proven it has never worked, but apparently Google are above the law.
Poor customer service
I am now on my 3rd fit bit. I love what they do but my second one purchased for Christmas present by my son 2024 stopped working in September. I was told to send it back which I did with the label provided and it has disappeared. I can’t find out who I contact to sort it out. So I have had to buy another.
Dreadful Customer Support
The support is possibly the worst I have had from any company. I am now in week 2 of trying to return a phone under warranty. I have so far wasted 3 hours of my time and still have not made progress. Very disappointed
Terrible experience with Google Store…
Terrible experience with Google Store support. My trade-in refund of £390 was marked as “issued” back in September, yet it didn’t reach my PayPal account until November. That’s six weeks late, despite constant chasing on my part.
I received contradictory updates, claims that the refund had already been processed (it hadn’t), instructions that were wrong, and multiple requests for the exact same information. I spent over five hours dealing with this, plus the delay caused extra PayPal Credit costs.
I’ve asked for a goodwill gesture of £200 — entirely reasonable given the stress, financial impact, and time wasted — but still no response. This whole process has been unacceptable for a company of Google’s size.
It is impossible to get good customer…
It is impossible to get good customer service using google for devices and phone service. I have a google pixel pro 9 and you can only chat with support and they don't care about your issues. I also returned a fitbit band once and never received the refund. They couldn't figure out what had happened to it and just never responded. I really don't like being a google customer.
Fitbit have really gone downhill
Fitbit have really gone downhill now they’ve been taken over by Google. I ordered my new Fitbit it came and it took ages to charge and it buzzed on and off. I called them. They said that they would replace it but then they said the only way of sending it back was by printing out label sheet at the time I didn’t have the means to do this I asked if there was any other way to do this and they said there wasn’t. II persevered with it taking ages to charge and it kept losing time wasn’t performing properly and then finally a couple of months later totally broke! I rang them to discover that there was a different way of doing sending it back anyway so I had been misinformed as it can be picked up from your home address without the need to print labels so I returned it and they sent me another one. I was very disappointed to find that it was refurbished as I felt mine hadn’t worked from new and it should’ve been replaced with new. I did contact them and they said it was their policy to only replaced with refurbished. Two weeks later the refurbished one stops working! I rang them up they did all the troubleshooting. It still had a big red X on the screen and they said to send it back and they would send another one. I said that in view of the fact that i’ve had all these issues with the new one and the refurbished one can they send me a brand new Fitbit iI was told that it couldn’t be guaranteed. It would depend what was in the factory. I said that I wasn’t happy and that I just want to return it and get my money back.i was then told that if I wanted to return it for a refund I had to contact to Google for this and not go through Fitbit! Th is ridiculous because they’re the same company, and they should be able to do this without me then have to contact Google which is a nightmare in itself..I’m not happy with the service, Fitbit used to be good but no more after this I will not be purchasing from either of them or Google!
no longer fit for purpose..
no longer fit for purpose... changing all my cameras for another brand!
Stops working every 2 years pretty…
Stops working every 2 years pretty much, then they offer you discount off a replacement as "a valued customer". This is a clever ploy to make you pay every few years as if you are not a premium customer and your product has a long life, the get no more money.
Switch to F-Droid or Aptoide. Don't use Google Play Store!
Google Play Store uses monopoly and don't listen to their users at all. It it strongly recommended to not trust Google Play Store, but instead use an alternative, such as f-droid or aptoide.
For example, in the games section, you will find apps which makes it seem like these apps are games, but they are not. Reporting these apps will give you a: We did not find anything wrong, no action taken.
Google Fitbit support system is disgraceful.
I am hugely disappointed since Google acquired fitbit. My versa 4 just went blank despite still having 80% charge. Did everything that was suggested for the last 3 weeks. No response from Google customer support. A waste of time and energy. I do not recommend Fitbit products.
Fragile products with inadequate warranties
I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The phone itself I love (despite the depreciation). However, the phone itself is fragile. As an example, two weeks back upon opening the device to use the larger inner screen, the screen cracked upon opening. Within 45 minutes, 75% of the inner screen was black. There was no force applied and no impact. The screen just cracked gradually in front of my eyes. When I attempted to claim via the Google Store warranty it transpired that although the device has a 24 month warranty, the screen is only covered for six months. In other words, the fragile / vulnerable / flawed part of the device isn't covered beyond six months. It's almost as if Google knew that the screen wasn't fit for duty and altered the warranty accordingly. To add context, I am careful with my phones. I've had several iPhones and left not a scratch. I keep my phones in a cover and use screen protectors. Unfortunately, none of this was enough to protect Googles exploding screens. To summarise: a good looking and useful phone, destroyed by poor quality construction, crippling depreciation and dreadful customer service backup. Upon upgrade next year, I'm heading back to Apple.
No longer works as advertised
No longer works as advertised, biggest waste of money you will spend on most things. Google I will never buy from you again, ever.......
Spot on
Bought a pixel 10 pro, device turned up a day later, trade in kit the day after, and the trade in paid 5 days later.
Hard to fault. Very pleased with the device, price I paid for it, and the trade on experience.
