Pack of two silicon lids. On identical glass jars one stayed on fine and trapped the slugs effectively. The other kept slipping off the rim of the jar. Perhaps it will improve with time?

I’m really pleased with this humane slug trap. It’s refreshing to have an option that doesn’t involve killing large numbers of slugs. The tongs are also very handy to keep by the back door for easy removal.

The product is really good, and I care about note harming nature, so it was wonderful to find a way to protect my daffodils without harming the slugs or any of the other garden animals or insects.

My five stars come down to the product itself. I love to grow dahlias but my garden is a seething sea of slugs and they love to devour these beautiful plants before they get the tiniest chance to establish themselves. My only success in the past has been to grow them on a platform in a moat. These specially designed feet have enabled me to easily establish 'shelves' of happy dahlias that the slugs can only look at and dream! Thanks Stopslugs!

Thanks for reply Laurence, I took your advice and caught my first slug last night! I used four empty tins with cucumber bait, in all corners of the kitchen. It’s a great start.. 4 stars!

I had high hopes for what looked like an incredible invention.. But sadly, as yet I’ve not had any luck trapping the naughty slugs that invade our kitchen at night. I don’t mind them in the garden, but the trails all over the kitchen floor every morning are not pleasant. Maybe I’m using the wrong bait, beer and cucumber.. But also the silicon lids keep popping off the jam jars, the flaw in the design seems to be the ridges are on the outside of the lids, if they were on the inside the would grip on to the thread of the jar. I’ll try again with different bait and smaller jars but for now I can only offer up 2 stars, which makes me feel bad. It’s a shame, because anything that avoids harming slugs and snails deserves applause! 👏

Only solution to stop snails etc eating hostess and other plants

Having seen the stopslugs video by chance on YouTube, I had to order some. I adore hostas, and get very upset when slugs destroy the beautiful new foliage. Slugs had also been nibbling a miniature labyrnum I have in a pot. I wouldn't dream of using chemical controls but was fed up of slug damage.The order was delivered very quickly, and was plastic-free - very much appreciated. My husband crafted a wooden disc to screw onto the slugstand for the labrynum pot. We were able to sit the hosta pot directly onto the slugstand. Some heavy Scottish rain followed and my "anti-slug moats" were complete! Not a single leaf has been chewed since then. I am the happiest gardener in Scotland, and am telling all my friends about these incredible, eco-friendly slugstands. They are well made, easy to install and blend in very nicely. Thank you so much!

Magnificent product, 100% effective. I would highly recommend the stopslugs slug repellent plant stands . Absolutely no more slugs eating my plants.

The product has been great so far as I've used them to keep my cosmos safe. It's been 3 weeks now and they are untouched...yay!

The whole experience was great. I ordered a double pack of slugstands for my raised bed and am very happy. Finally I no longer have to use poison and harm the slugs! Thank you for this innovative product.
