It pays to shop local - Stone Dam for all your furniture
Having bought from Stone Dam for many years, I find their furniture of good quality and at a reasonable price. Their no pressure selling makes choosing (from the massive choices) an absolute dream with an added bonus of free delivery! Which takes me to the delivery guys, who are polite, considerate, efficient and set everything up for you. Its a 5 star review from me.

This is the best furniture store going really nice staff i.e. Mel couldn't do more for you. And the delivery guy's went above and beyond thanks again.
This is our second purchase from…
This is our second purchase from Stonedam Mill. Last year we bought 2 recliners & we were very impressed by this company. Last month we ordered an automatic bed which we are awaiting delivery. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff are so helpful but not pushy! The assistant knew all about each bed & could explain the pros & cons. I never felt that buying the most expensive bed would be the right thing to do. As we are decorating our bedroom the company is holding on delivery until we finish decorating. It's a 5 out of 5 & I'll be going back whenever we need any more furniture. They have a great range & a great price range too.

Excellent service and customer care
Excellent service and customer care. My parents had two chairs delivered today having chosen them just 5 days ago. Following delivery they had a question regarding one of the chairs and its swivel function. Paul was so helpful in resolving this today in no time at all.
Just a big thank you to Paul
Just a big thank you to Paul. Had a Hypnos mattress that did not live up to the guarantee and he went out of his way to help get it sorted.

Spent a fortune there over the last 18 months. Wanted wardrobe drawers and table. The salesman my wife was talking to about wardrobes( while I was upstairs )said cause I’ve no measurements I was wasting his time, rude poor customer service, went elsewhere and spent £960 on what I wanted. Never try there again.
Do not deal with these people.
Do not deal with these people.
They take your money but don't live up to their part of the deal.
Be warned.

We visited this store a couple of months ago with our young twins looking for beds. We went up to the first floor with the children and my daughter went to look at herself at a mirror on the face of one the wardrobes. My husband and I were within a couple of meters of her looking at a single bed. All of a sudden she screamed and when we looked over the wardrobe was falling towards her. She fell backwards on to the floor and the bottom half of the wardrobe fell upon her legs. The top half did not land on her as the fall of the wardrobe was broken by a nearby bed on which it landed. Myself and my husband ran over and managed to lift the wardrobe and whilst my husband held it up I managed to pull her away from it.
The reason why the wardrobe fell is that the floor of the store is uneven and when stepped on the wardrobe moved and lost its balance. This was advised by the adviser working in the store. So the floors are uneven and the furniture is not secured to the walls if it is uneven and a chance for the furniture to fall over.
We were very lucky that our daughter walked away from this with bruises and scrapes. It could have been much much worse.
The person working in the store took no details on the incident no recording in a accident book no securing of the uneven wardrobe whilst we were there. We have contacted the store and they have not even bothered to contact us back after multiple attempts to advise us what they have done and why it happened.
Very poor company who have no care about the safety of the public coming into their store. We have purchased from them in the past but that won't be happening again in the future after they undue care.
So really this is a warning if you are visiting just be wary of the uneven floors and the unstable furniture in the store.
Excellent service!
Excellent! They delivered my new bed within days and even took the old one away. I wouldn't have been able to get rid of it otherwise. Thank you, Paul, for sorting me a very competitive deal too!
