Avoid Stewart Accounting.

My experience with Stewart Accounting was extremely disappointing.
The firm required payment in advance through a monthly subscription model. When I decided to leave due to repeated errors in the work provided and the substantial increase in fees, I requested a refund for 13 months of prepaid services that had not yet been started. I was informed that no refund would be provided.
Although the firm stated that it would still complete my accounts, I no longer had confidence in the quality of the work after the mistakes that had already been made while I was a client. As a result, I did not feel comfortable relying on them to complete any further work.
I was also surprised by the fees quoted for answering what I considered to be a simple yes-or-no question, which I was told would cost £150 plus VAT.
In addition, I was also referred to a specialist tax adviser whose fees were four times higher than other tax professionals I consulted.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm and would advise prospective clients to carefully review the terms of engagement, refund policy, and fee structure before signing up.

Avoid – misleading and extremely poor service in my experience

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Stewart Accounting.
For three years, I paid their fees while being repeatedly told by the accountant and his team that my accounts were “up to date.” After some suspicions this turned out to be completely untrue. After leaving and engaging another accountant, I discovered that none of my accounts had actually been completed during that entire period.
Throughout those three years, communication was poor and often contradictory. Different members of the team provided conflicting information, and when Mark did respond directly, the information given was also inaccurate. Despite regular reassurances, no meaningful work had been carried out.
This is also the most expensive accounting firm I have used, yet the level of service was extremely low. They were quick to take payment but failed to deliver what they claimed had been done.
As a result, I have had to pay another accountant to complete work that Stewart Accounting had assured me was already “up to date.”
