How on earth can someone who claims to care about nature and health pack such a premium product as Manuka honey in a plastic jar? There are companies that sell it in glass, so there are no excuses. This was my first and last purchase. Dissappointed.

I’ve been buying Steens Manuka honey for years and it’s good stuff. With so much fake manuka around it’s good to find a reliable brand. They have frequent discount deals so it’s possible to stock up for winter season in advance. Delivery is always quick and never had an issue with leaks or lost items.
The jars are plastic though. Not ideal but probably more practical to ship than glass.

I bought 6 jars of premium honey with 15 UMF (525 MGO) which came to me in CHEAP plastic jars, I contacted customer service to initate a return but they refused to take it back on the grounds that I have to read their fine print in sustainability part of the page where they inform about the BPA jars being used as packaging of choice.

I have used MGO honey for a long time and this is a scam product.

The best Manuka honey about

First things first, Steens' honey is UMF rated and that is important. The UMF rating is the gold standard and provides a much broader assurance of authenticity, purity, and origin than the MGO rating. That is why there are hundreds of MGO rated honeys available in the UK but only a handful of UMF-rated ones. In my opinion, if your honey is not UMF rated, is not raw and unpasteurised, and is not monofloral, then you haven't really tried Manuka Honey.

Having tried the only other UMF-accredited brands available in the UK, there is no doubt at all in my mind that Steens are the best.

So far, I have tried their 10+, 13+ and 15+ UMF honeys and they are all sublime. I love a spoonful of Steens in my tea instead of a sugar, but my absolute favourite is a couple of teaspoons of Steens with a healthy dollop of Fage 5%. The blend of those tastes and textures is just heaven.

But it’s not just about the honey. Every now and again you'll come across a brand that you just love. You love what they do and you love who they are, and Steens is one of those brands for me. This is an honest Kiwi family business that make incredible honey and when you compare their prices to the tiny number of other high-end UMF-accredited producers, Steens are the most reasonably priced. In fact, they are even more reasonably priced than most of their multifloral, pasteurised and MGO-rated competitors, too!

Normally, I don’t comment on other reviews, but on this occasion, I would urge the two reviewers who left the only negative reviews (for things that clearly weren’t Steens’ fault) to kindly reconsider their star ratings.

Despite being a long time customer, I tried to correct the delivery address within a few minutes and was told by Eden at Customer Care that it was too late and I could try and get a hold of Royal Mail to redirect.
Not my idea of customer care but perhaps I am old fashioned!

Found by accident and due to clearance ended up paying less than half price via Steens UK site. Simply changing labels. Tastes absolutely lovely, quality raw manuka, and appreciate the fact it is family business with traceable production. Ended up with free delivery and stocked up (9 jars). I might reluctantly share a jar or two😋

hello, I've just received my STEENS order and I'm VERY unhappy not with the honey but with the dangerous clowns that delivered it. I am disabled at home 24/7 and live with elderly parents so was 10 feet from the front door when the drama began. instead of coming to the front door and following instructions taped to the door since covid he ran down our side garageway and threw the 3kg in weight package over a 15 foot fence hitting my brand new 2500 pound backdoor on the lock and handle bouncing of onto a jagged concrete steps at edge and landing bust open (splitting one jar down the side with the extreme impact) all over the patio where my elderly parents were having lunch despite screams of " what are you doing" etc the dangerous clown ran back to his van and departed rapidly before we could work out what had happened? either of my parents could have been killed they are ill and very elderly and would have died instantly had the 3kgs hit them directly. the handle is hanging of the door and will need fixing I have contacted d.p.d but have got nowhere they don't seem to have a proper complaints procedure rather just am emoji " how was your delivery" we will pass your feedback on thank you, section. I just thought you would like to know how your company delivery is handled in the UK and what bad reputation you are getting having anything to do with dangerous clowns like this I have considered making a police report but I'm sure that will be ignored as well. thank you for your attention. Mr Jones swanley Kent UK br8 8bl ..also he had the gall to take a photo I will send to you of our fence and gateway he threw the package over with no regard what was on the other side? words fail me as to the sheer utter reckless brainless stupidity of some people who should be shovelling manure all day not entrusted with a responsible job without nearly killing someone in the process.

I EMAILED STEENS AND WAS MADE TO WAIT AND FOBBED OFF AND TREATED VERY SHABBILY THEY HAD LITTLE INTEREST IN SOLVING ANY ISSUE AND I WAS LEFT FEELING LIKE I AS A LONG TIME CUSTOMER OF STEENS DID NOT MATTER IN THE SLIGHTEST THEY JUST SEEMED CONCERNED THEY MAY HAVE TO REFUND ONE BUST JAR AND WANTED FORENSIC PHOTOS OF THE SCENE SO IF YOU WANT GOD AWFUL DELIVERY THAT WILL PUT YOUR LIFE I DANGER DAMAGE YOUR PROPERTY AND BE TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL BY THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE THEN GO AHEAD ......SHOP WITH STEENS

Excellent honey, great prices, awesome customer service. I've been buying this brand for years after having tried Kiva and Manuka Doctor. Steens honey is much thicker with much stronger flavor. When Steens have sales then their prices are unbeatable. We buy UMF 15 and above and use for colds, coughs, wounds, and everyday wellness. Can't recommend enough.

I've tried the likes of Manuka Doctor, Holland and Barret brands, Lidl, Amazon etc
Nothing comes close to the quality of Steens Honey. I must say the raw unpasteurised texture is second to none. Every other honey on the market is processed therefore losing many benefits, this on the other hand is as fresh as can be.
I'd recommend the UMF 15+
The taste is out of the this world, the results even better.
The delivery was fast and swift.
Well worth of recommendation!
