Used STC for the series 27 exam

Used STC for the series 27 exam. Good content in lectures and great bank of practice tests that prepare you well for the exam. They provide diagnostics based on your practice tests so you can know your weak areas to refocus on. They also have crunch time facts that were helpful for o review right before the test. I had previously taken and failed the exam using Pass Perfects study materials and thought I may have shown up for the wrong test; that’s how out of whack their prep program was for the actual exam.

Series 7 not the best

Series 7 is way to dense and not enough detailed for the finra exam. It gives you the facts but not the details needed to apply it especially if you haven't had prior experience.

I work for a very large broker/dealer and we were asked to take the SIE and series 99. I tried using their material both the PDFs and pre-recorded lectures and found other competitors offerings better. Example: Passmasters. STC's chapters are too long as are some of the videos. The videos should be kept to 30 min max and the chapters no more than 20 pages. In addition, the videos are sometimes difficult to follow becase the instuctor tends to pivot and will say and lastly, and lastly, and lastly too many times.

Hired this company to teach a course to…

Hired this company to teach a course to prepare me for a licensing exam. They sent me my materials and workbook. Upon completing the course I scheduled my licensing exam, paying out $200. An the material I studied is not the same material for the exam. When I called the company I filed my complaint and the representative, Timothy Anderson, advised their records show I paid for the course, but for some reason they enrolled me in a different course and provided the wrong materials. He advised he could not refund the money nor enroll me into the correct course because I complete the wrong one. I was referred to his manager a geoffy Mcnish who never responded. Timothy sent me an email later informing me the most the company would do is provide a 10% discount. ...this is fraud. I paid for a service was led to believe it was being provided. When I learned it wasn't they refused to make it right.

For $300 you get a 500 page PDF

For $326 you get a 500 page PDF with zero interaction or "features", like even remembering where you left off, and a few "final exams". Biggest rip off of them all! There is no option to not get the physical book mailed to you, shipping not included. So you get a PDF of the book and the book; guess what, every firm has a dozen of their books sitting around from everyone else who was forced to buy the book, and pay the shipping, to get the online PDF. Save your money, buy or borrow someone's old book, and order the online tests only from other sources for 1/3 the cost!

They should just stick to doing in class and live video training, cause they don't know how to do online classes.
