Beautifully presented farmhouse, well equipped and Charlotte is a wonderful host. She saw to all our requests and as it was my sister's birthday she presented her with flowers on the day. That's the attention to detail we received.

We went to Chestnut Lodge at Willow Pastures country park. The photographs give a false impression of the surrounding area. The country park is a lodge park full of lodges and no walks apart from a narrow walk by a metal fence leading to a dead end.
The owner of the lodge was abusive and disagreeable when we reported some problems and would not solve our problems and spoilt our holiday. So much so When Retreats are supposedly taken Chestnut Lodge off their books but as yet have not. We paid well over the odds for an inferior holiday and do not recommend this property to anyone thinking of booking.

We booked both Porter Bridge Farm and Barn to celebrate a number of special family birthdays. They were in the perfect location for everyone to travel to. Both properties were even better than we could have anticipated. The kitchens were well equipped. We had more than enough space to spread out and also allow for quiet zones as we needed it. The games room was well used and Table Tennis competions were organised. The hot tub was also well used and checked every morning by Nick (owner).
Lisa (owner) met us on arrival and went through a few basics and then left us to it for the week. Lisa and Nick clearly have an eye for attention to detail. The bedrooms were very comfortable with en-suites to most rooms. Our group was aged between 7 and 75 plus two dogs (crates provide). We had the best time and would not hesitate to book the properties again.

Booking and communication was very good, helpful and quick response to questions. We were met at the property by the owner which was a nice way to start our holiday. Rope Makers Cottage really is a beautiful house, located at the bottom of a lane which feels very rural. There is easy access to the Trans Pennine way which is flat and provides a pleasant 1 mile walk into the town of Penistone which has everything you need. Inside the house the furniture, bedding, kitchen and bathrooms were all to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and the hot tub was most welcome after some beautiful walks straight from the property. The games and cinema rooms provided hours of fun and entertainment for all the family. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here and hope to return in the future.

Booking process was really easy, hut was SOOOO wonderful! The owners are lovely too - cannot recommend this enough :-)

Just booked a weekend break at Porter Bridge Farm for a family get together. Eden Retreats website was easy to use & navigate. We were spoilt for choice! All the properties looked lovely. Received instant emails to confirm our booking, so far we have received first class service. We are really looking forward to our stay now.

Booked a birthday weekend away for my wife’s birthday and stayed at The Farmhouse at Clayfield Farm at Pocklington.
The booking was effortless via Eden retreats and the weekend was just as trouble free.
The premises were easily found as the directions were bang on and the farmhouse is a good size as our group was 7 adults and our 14 month old grandson.
The bedrooms were all of a good size with very comfy beds.
Lots of room downstairs and the kitchen / dining area was also well used.
Getting the logs going was a bit of a challenge but they got going in the end.
The owners live close by on site and Wayne was always there if needed to sort out any problems, which we only had a little niggle with a window catch.
The field at the bottom of the front garden gave our grandson lots of entertainment as he watched ( and fed) the sheep that were there.
A very quite and secluded venue with no noise at all and lovely quiet / dark nights for any sky watchers.
Pocklington is a short drive back into town or a walk if you wanted.
We also made use of on-line shopping and Asda provided a delivery, Morrison’s don’t seem to cover the post code so it was a blessing instead of taking all the shopping with us.
The welcome tray was well received with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on our arrival.
Would definitely consider The Farmhouse when coming to stop in the area in the future.

Have just spent a very pleasant 5 night stay at Dove Cottage in the heart of Shropshire.
The property was as described in the advertising material, clean and very well presented, with the owner very welcoming and friendly.
Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet refreshing break.

We booked the house for a fortieth birthday and had 11 people staying. The house, outside space and surroundings was exactly what we were looking for. The house was beautiful, spacious and fully equipped. The rooms were all individual and beautifully decorated and beds very comfortable. We had lovely weather so were able to make the most of the outside sitting and views as well as the massive hot tub.
The path for the Pennine Trail was right behind the house and we had a lovely walk along then looped round via a local pub to come back to the house.
The staff at Eden retreats could not of been more helpful and accommodating. They made our arrival a lot smoother than it could of been and were very informative about how best to arrange deliveries.
This was a beautiful spot with an amazing house, will return.

Excellent service by Eden. If all the properties on their books were as good as Castlebury Barn then there would be very little for them to do as they certainly would not get any complaints. We enjoyed our stay at Mathers Farm. Our family included a dog, a ten year old child and two visitors from America.

Booking was easy and we were greeted by the owners upon arrival.

The property is beautiful,newly decorated and well equipped. It provides excellent space for gatherings, cooking and meal times, recreation and socializing.

The outside space also provides facilities for outdoor eating and a large hot tub, both of which we happily sampled.

The bedrooms all provided adequate but not voluminous accomodation for two people, with en suite bathroom facilities.

In summary, Mathers Farm was perfect for our gathering and provided all that we needed for our week. There was plenty of room for privacy and socializing with easy access to Penistone and the Cross Pennine Trail. There was plenty of room for our vehicles.

I would recommend Mathers Farm without reservation. We had a wonderful week in the Yorkshire countryside and enjoyed easy access to all that is provided locally.

We stayed in Trentham at the Old watermill, one of the best self catering lets that I've ever stayed. Thoughtfully equipped and designed with a lot of love and care. We appreciated the welcome basket and extra bits and pieces such as shampoo, kitchen roll, foil etc. The Kitchen was fully equipped (you could make a Christmas dinner in it). The beds were comfortable and the open plan set up worked very well for my family of Four. Julie the owner was excellent and very helpful.

Came across Eden retreats by chance via the Farm Stay website. Haven't had my stay yet but customer service so far has been excellent and the booking process was very easy. The cottage booked looks amazing and we cannot wait to stay !

Porter Bridge farm
We booked this for an extended family get together. The outside pictures are not very flattering but they disguise a very well appointed property which is of a very high standard with enough space for our party of 15 and two dogs to thoroughly enjoy. Plenty of out door space to exersize the dogs, a very good BBQ and seating area and two hot tubs.The booking and checkin processes were well handled and all in all we were delighted with the property and the service.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Eden Retreats for their fantastic website, their descriptions is the properties and their easy to use chat line.
On the one occasion that I needed to telephone them, I was helped by Martha, who I found to be extremely friendly and professional and is an asset to the company.
I have booked the same cottage for a second time and would not hesitate to book again with this Eden Retreats in the future. Sheila Baker

We booked to stay at The Farmhouse, Pocklington through the Eden Retreats website, and the experience from start to finish was second to none.
First of all, I was looking to book a different property offered by Eden Retreats but it was not available for the dates I was looking for, but Becca from Eden Retreats researched the available properties in a similar area and offered some alternative options, with The Farmhouse, Pocklington being one. We chose to book this property, and the booking process was very easy, with a 25% deposit to be paid at the point of booking, and the balance due 8 weeks before the due date. Communication with Eden Retreats around the booking was easy and swift, and it is clear that they take customer service very seriously. In the week prior to our stay at the Farmhouse, we received emails from both Eden Retreats, and the property owner with details of the welcome pack and directions to the house.

The property itself was amazing - very clean and decorated in a stylish manner to a very high standard, and the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the small details that make the difference between a standard property and a high end property. The owners live on site at the farm, and are welcoming and helpful, but not intrusive. And a lovely welcome basket was left for us containing tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc along with a selection of cakes and sweet treats - such a lovely touch.

If the calibre of the property we booked through Eden Retreats is reflective of the other properties on their website, I will definitely be booking through them again - A1 service all round!

For a first time dealing with this new group I have been pleasantly surprised how easy the whole experience has been.
The Cottage booked looks amazing and the price is excellent.
