asked for sponsorship money saying it was for books for local schools. seemed genuine but I was very Naive.
stay well clear of these scammers. The books never arrived and two different "companies" have tried since.
Absolute scam.
They called me thanking me for taking out an ad in some publication, something to do with anti bullying being sent in to schools.
I had never heard of them before, but they told me I had agreed to be a sponsor in January, which I certainly did not. We never agree to things over the phone.
They sent me a pdf document showing my name, my business name and my mobile number on the back page - they also sent me an invoice for £358.80!
Tried to push me for a payment by saying they will give me £100 discount if I paid them today.
Need to get up a bit earlier to catch us out.
Stay clear!
