Super support when I encountered a problem. Kacey diagnosed the problem and the solution worked perfectly. Also fixed my thumb drive that was corrupted when trying to create bootable thumb. Outstanding tech. I know, I did phone support for Gateway and she was professional, pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable and most importantly, patient with an old fossil like me.
StackSocial Follows Through
I've purchased several keys from StackSocial, and on occasion the activation didn't work the first time. No worries though, their support staff was right there to render aid and get it taken care of. I'm a very happy repeat customer.
Great customer service & incredible deals on MS software
I purchased 3 sofware packages from StackSocial for huge discounts: lifetime licenses of Microsoft Office Pro 2021 for both Windows and Mac, plus the Windows 11 Pro operating system.
I'm running all of the above via SanDisk extreme pro usb C drives on a MacAir M3. For the Windows software I use Parallels Desktop for Mac (lifetime license version).
Everthing is working fine now, but installation was confusing for several reasons. First, the MS setup software indicates Office 365 is being installed. At first this made me cancel the installation since the whole point of getting these lifetime license is to get away from the yearly 365 subscription fees.
But eventually I let the intallation go forward and found out that Office 2021 versions were installed despite what the installer said. Typical Microsoft user experience.
The most difficult and confusing part was the Microsoft Activation process. For MS Office activation was relatively easy once I realized that signing into my microsoft account was key.
But activating Windows was a nightmare no matter what I tried, which included 8 total hours of trying every trick I knew over two days. I'm very tech savvy, but activating Windows on virtual machines on a Mac always seems to be a problem.
Eventually had to contact StackSocial customer support, and Patrick there sent me by email a new activation key and that worked immediately. But I also think it helped that I signed into a new microsoft account before activation. I don't want multiple MS accounts but this is what I felt forced into after so many other things failed.
So now that everything's working I'm quite happy with StackSocial, after all it's not their fault Microsoft makes activation so difficult. But I did learn that their general policy is not to give refunds once you've redeemed the activation key; so, consider that risk if you purchase from them. In my case, I had no reason to want a refund because of their great customer support.
I'm not at all bothered by having old versions of this MS software -- in fact, I'm thrilled that it gives me a way to get away from unwanted AI features. Using Office 365 it's becoming virtually impossible to avoid AI features. I wish there was a way to MMSGA, but since that seems impossible the next best thing is buying old versions of their software.
I had a few unique issues
I had a few unique issues (new PC, no DVD drive, etc.) and it took a few emails, but the support was top notch in getting me setup. Highly recommend!
Great Service Team, Sales Have To Learn
I shopped a couple of retail Windows Pro licenses but both product keys were initially rejected by the Activation servers as "already used" elsewhere. One license key eventually got activated after a day and a few restarts but the other has to be replaced by StackSocial. The toll-free phone for Windows activation for Belgium kept rejecting my calls so I guess that Microsoft is to blame here. The Support Team of StackSocial was very kind and even responded during the weekend. But the whole experience costed me quite some nerves and time, hence my 4 stars.
Great experience!
Purchased Win11 Pro to upgrade Win11 Home. At first the key did not work. Support was quick and helpful and was able to get me up and running.
I purchased a Windows 11 Pro license…
I purchased a Windows 11 Pro license from StackSocial expecting a legitimate activation key. After reinstalling Windows due to a system crash, I attempted to activate the operating system with the key I purchased. The key would not activate normally and instead pushed me into a phone activation process that raised serious concerns about the legitimacy of the license.
After spending hours troubleshooting, researching activation errors, and attempting to follow the activation instructions, it became clear that something was wrong with the product I received. What was advertised as a simple, affordable license ended up causing significant frustration and wasted time.
When you're dealing with a system reinstall, the last thing you expect is to run into questionable activation issues from a product you paid for. The experience made me question the reliability of software licenses sold through this platform.
I strongly recommend buyers research these types of deals carefully before purchasing. What appears to be a bargain can quickly turn into a stressful experience when the product does not work as expected.

Custom Service Deeply Disappointing
I’ve purchased several items from StackSocial over the years, but this was my first time buying a physical product. Previously, I had only purchased software licenses and app subscriptions.
This time I was shopping for a Bluetooth speaker — specifically a JBL Clip. It was $60 elsewhere, but I found it on StackSocial for $40. It was listed as “open box” but described as brand new.
When it arrived, I followed the instructions to charge and pair it with my phone. While charging, it began making odd repetitive sounds — da-da-dee, da-da-dum — occurring several times with no clear cause.
Once charged, I paired it with my phone and opened the JBL app, which prompted a firmware update. The update failed three times in a row. I moved on.
Music playback seemed to work, so I thought perhaps the outdated firmware wasn’t a dealbreaker. However, when I powered the speaker off, the strange sounds resumed — every few minutes, without stopping. We had to move it to another room.
I performed a hard reset, fully recharged the unit, re-paired it, and attempted the firmware update again. It failed again. Playback still worked, but the sounds continued nonstop, so again, we relocated it.
I repeated the entire process — reset, charge, pair, firmware update — with the same result. Shortly after, the unit stopped functioning entirely: no sounds, no lights, no pairing, no playback. It was dead.
I contacted StackSocial to arrange a return and refund. Given that this was an open-box item, I assumed the process would be straightforward. Instead, their customer service requested a photo showing the damage. I explained that a photo of a speaker sitting on my kitchen counter would not demonstrate an audio or firmware malfunction, and politely asked to proceed with the return. They insisted on a photo anyway.
Since StackSocial has refused to accept the return or issue a refund, I am left with no option but to dispute the charge with my credit card company — an unreasonable outcome for a $40 open-box purchase.
I cannot recommend buying from this company. Their handling of this situation has been deeply disappointing.
