Cheap, but unreliable

Squirrel Beoadband is cheap - with no in-contract price rises, and first three months for £1, over the life in contract worked out £100+ cheaper than Plusnet.

BUT it is frequently (at least once per month) down with each period of lack of service often lasting several hours. If you rely on the internet, or just want to get what you paid for, perhaps go elsewhere.

Hoping to break my contract and move elsewhere due to the frequent lack of service.

Only had this for 2 weeks

Only had this for 2 weeks, but no problems up to now. Left KCOM because of their prices, I’ve got exactly the same package with squirrel and it’s £25 cheaper! Also a plus is the router hasn’t got 600 wires attached to it, just compact and tidy !

Great experience from start to end

Great experience from start to end, everything done following the schedule communicated at the beginning. I spoke to the help line once and also had great service with minimal delay answering !! No regrets

Also in hull also constant issues with connectivity dropping connections, not reaching where they promised it would and 40mps not the 900 I pay for. Wish I'd read the other reviews from this area

Good speed, service and transparency

Have been with Squirrel for 2 years and needed to assess my options ahead of contract renewal and used the live chat and Paul specifically was very helpful and useful in showing me my options and reaching a solution. Really good customer service

Have had occasional issues with internet dropping out but have always had transparency from Squirrel's website's live status page which is much better than with PlusNet or any other Openreach providers where we just had to guess. A few other quirks but I suspect that is down to our unique router setup more than Squirrel themselves but overall the service has been the best we have had from an ISP by a significant margin

Great product and great customer service

Customer service informative and quick to answer every time I have rang them. They actually know the answers to networking questions. The price for the speeds is great, symmetrical fibre lines. DHCP allows me to use third party equipment, would recommend!

good stuff

The engineer seemed to know his stuff. Service was installed promptly with mininimal disruption. I get ping times of about 15ms to a DC in a nearby city (this is sub-par and they need to sort out some local peering).

So far so good and I’ve not even received my router yet, I had to call because I couldn’t get connected and to my surprise I was straight through to an English speaking superstar who had me up and running on an old router while I wait for the new one…

So refreshing to get human customer service

100% recommended.

So far, utterly brilliant. I dropped EE after they wanted to charge me £20 more for a product less than half the speed. I've found the setup with Squirrel super smooth, handover and engineers were quick and on time. I had a call about router settings so I could use my own router and I got straight through to a human after 2 or 3 rings. Wow! Mix that in with having a blazing fast symmetrical 2.3gb service and you have to wonder how BT/EE will survive.
