Just stay away from Spypoint

Just stay away from Spypoint. We rarely get all the photos we paid for, the website is constantly glitchy and gives us error messages now that we're trying to renew for another year. The cameras themselves seem to work reasonably well but their website, whether on desktop or mobile, is miserable.

Cameras aren't worth having- you call…

Cameras aren't worth having- you call needing to troubleshoot and they expect you to have the camera in hand - unsure who purchases a camera used to monitor activity at a lease and has it at home - worthless - incompetent employees. This is my latest experience - SPYPOINT is a waste of money and phone time when you call them.

I have 2 FLEX G3 cameras that are…

I have 2 FLEX G3 cameras that are pretty much useless as a "game" camera. They take so many false trigger pictures that the company forces you into their unlimited plan which is very expensive for EACH camera. They are useless being put in the woods were "game" are found because any movement of leaves, grass or limbs trigger a picture. This is good if you have animals in front of the camera but unfortunately since the cameras take so many false pictures in just a couple days that you will use up your allotment of your plan unless you get the unlimited plan, which is too expensive for each camera. The cameras are basically useless in the woods but maybe in a mowed field where there are no trees or tall grass. I absolutely wouldn't recommend Spypoint cameras. I also have Browning and Reconyx cameras that only take pictures of animals in the woods.

The worst chat support in the world

The worst, absolutely, the worst chat support in the world. I have scads of their devices deployed at remote sites, running on solar. This is my second FLEX G-36, which has already become a brick in less than a year. Don't waste your time with chat support, bite the bullet, and get a real person on the phone in Canada. They were most responsive and resolved my issue, sending me a free replacement camera.

On sale says one year free…

On sale says one year free subscription. I went with the flex s dark because I want to use it year around and figured solar was the way to go. Well back to the free yeah 100 pics free and if you want the solar to work you have to purchase a lithium battery! Never again buddy’s Vosker came with the battery and it will come with mine too. Also no S.D card the program I paid for was $120 for the year and for some reason SPYPOINT Canadian company charges in U.S funds so ended up paying $162 never again. It’s to late for this year but I won’t have a SPYPOINT in the bush next year and that I’ll guarantee

Not great now

Not great now ! The cameras it self are very problematic! I have had two just stop sending pictures and saying the batteries are dead just after putting new ones in! They will send loads of pictures of the same picture to chew up your photo count and when you pay the subscription the cameras dont work so well go figure ! I would say dont waste you money if your a serious hunter going way back out disturbing your hunting area to mess with this junk is not very effective!

Absolutely NO North American Customer Service people.

I purchased over 40 SpyPoint Flex Cameras recently. I needed to talk to someone in North America about specifications and other questions. I tried to discuss with the Asian team, but no one had ever used a camera and were reading from company supplied scripts!

Everyone I called, resided in Asia AND have never used a SpyPoint camera.

I extensively researched phone numbers in the USA and Canada on the internet, and could NOT find a North American customer service person.

I became frustrated and returned most of the SpyPoint cameras and accessories that I had purchased.

In my opinion, this will be the death of SpyPoints product lines…. With NO US or Canadian customer service folks.

Spypoint Lithium Battery almost a fire!!

Whist changing my Spypoint Lithium battery from a Link Micro LTE camera, the cell expanded, splitting open the case and the battery started to smoke. Upon trying to report this the Spypoint they were totally disinterested and were more concerned about whether the battery was over a year old. If you have purchased a Spypoint battery be very careful where you charge it. If you haven't yet purchased a SPYPOINT product don't...look elsewhere for a company who offer proper aftersales service.

The online chat for help is a joke. The agents must be responding to 50 people all at once, and all they are sending are copied and pasted messages of general statements. Why even offer a warranty if you are going to go about it in that way? Are you trying to get people to give up?

My Spypoint experience was a complete Disaster

My Spypoint experience was a complete disaster, their camera was unreliable and leaked, and then stopped working completely.
From my experience, their product is completely useless and not fit for purpose, and their billing system is designed to extract money from your account even when they know their services are not being used!
I cancelled my contract in 2022, & that's when they sent me their last bill. I then forgot all about them, I wasn't using their product or services as the camera was broken, then in 2025, I suddenly realised they had taken money from my card? When I looked back through my accounts they had also taken money in 2023 and 2024! I emailed them cancelling my contract again, and asking them to return the money, they didn't respond.
I phoned my bank and they repaid me the 2025 amount, however Spypoint invoiced me again, using a slightly different name, and I had to go through my bank again to get a refund, I also had to cancel my card to stop them charging me.
I did try their online chat, they just cut me off when they realised I wanted to cancel, they also deleted the transcript so that I had no record of the conversation.

Spent 60 plus minutes on the spypoint…

Spent 60 plus minutes on the spypoint customer service chat app. All that time to get a response and uploading photos of the actual camera as requested to get a response that said your camera is out of warranty and is not water proof. A storm came through and rain got inside the camera as it was latched shut and locked. Bad seals. Spypoint offered to assist in buying a new camera. I think I jyst bought my last spypoint camera. Thats a shame as I have 7 of them. They lost a lifelong customer based on horrible customer service response time.

Not even worth a negative 5 stars

If I could give this company a negative, I would. I purchased 3 of their cameras and now 2 of them are DOA. After reaching out to the company and trying multiple things the told me that I had no warranty and would have buy new cameras. Oh and here is 10% off. What a joke they lure people in with the 100 free photos and then after they see that 100 photos a month is nowhere near enough, you have to buy on of their plans. I have active cameras that take 500+ photos a day. Which is why for the same money I went with the Tactacam unlimited plan. Have Had it for the same time and never had any issues. While the spypoint cameras stopped working and I didnt realize that they were on a paid plan until it had renewed for the second year. I said something to spypoint and they said it was not on a plan. It is funny though that it would not let me delete the camera because it said that it was associated with and active plan. If someone gives you one of these cameras just use it as a target to sight in your gun because ultimately you will have better satisfaction and a whole lot less stress wasting countless hours on their garbage.

Best ever- Finally peace of mind!

Finally! Peace of mind. I have tried everything to get EYES on my mailbox - to many trees & hills & to far. NO WiFi there. This SPYPOINT max w/ solar is amazing. Can’t say enough ♥️👍♥️👍♥️👍♥️🥳
