Customer service does not exist and providers suck.
Customer service does not exist, my medication manager does not send my refills through after my appointment with her and never replies through the SpringHealth app. Then when calling SpringHealth directly it is constant back and forth and takes days to resolve. Terrible experience and my medication causes terrible side effects if I miss a dose.
Let me start off by saying this review…
Let me start off by saying this review has nothing to do with my life coach William Wright or my therapist Barry Bolin. They are both amazing people who really helped me a lot! My biggest issue was that there were changes to my plan without my acknowledgment. Last year I had 8 therapist session and unlimited coaching sessions. 2 months into the year I get a notification stating that I owe money for my sessions which was wild to me since I only saw my therapist twice. I finally get in touch with customer service who goes on to explain to me that my coaching sessions now count towards my 8 sessions. They told me that my plan changed at the beginning of the year and I should have gotten a notice from my employer stating that. My plan just automatically renewed without me seeing any paperwork so I didn’t have a reason to think there was a change to my policy. I never received an email from my employer and my H.R rep could not find an email from Spring Health stating that there was a change to my plan. I explained it to them and they said they waived some of my fees (Charged it to my insurance) but I still owe them $80. I refuse to pay because that shouldn’t be my fault when I wasn’t made aware of any changes. Now they keep harassing me nonstop about it so make sure you stay away!
Spring Health is a big joke
Spring Health is a big joke
I'm having spring health access through my company. 6 therapy sessions and 6 coaching sessions.
I logged into the portal. No therapist available, only an Indian and a Turkish one. I reached out to them, requesting to find me a therapist. First, they couldn't find me a therapist. I was waiting for more than a month. Then they got back to me with a child therapist from Israel.
I told them no, thank you. I'm not a child, find me a different one.
They found me one. The therapist told me Spring Health is not authorised to provide therapy, only talking sessions. Well, that's not how they advertise themselves, but okay.
The therapist is so unprofessional. Chewing gum with an open mouth. Walking around in her house with the laptop, child, dog, and husband is around her.
Forgetting sessions.
Then I get a text message: Oh shit, I forgot I booked a session the same time as yours. Can we reschedule it, please, urgently?
Hello. Can we do it earlier?
I reply with no, because it's tonight, and I have a tight schedule. That's why we booked it two weeks in advance.
Then reply: Well, I got a session so we need to rebook it.
Like what is this service about?
I have had technical issues for my…
I have had technical issues for my first 2 appointments I’ve scheduled so I wasn’t able to meet with a provider and the 3rd visit I had scheduled the provider canceled on my the night before.
Very poor service.
Therapist was very rude made…
Therapist was very rude made assumptions without asking questions and then spent 50 minutes telling me how everything is my fault. This was a second session and there was very little questions leading up to the angry rant at my expense. I would not recommend this service it does more damage than good.
Awful
Awful! They hire too unprofessional therapists without doing any screening for them. Never trust this platform, it will harm you
I never connected with a therapist…
I never connected with a therapist because they said the therapist doesn’t see clients out of state. But they charged me for a session that I never had. Be cautious it’s seems to be a scam
Costs are not disclosed
This is a program provided through work. There was never anything disclosed upfront about cost so I assumed it was an employee benefit. I booked the appointment then I was asked for insurance info which now I figured there would be a cost. Yet, nothing was disclosed! Fast forward to today, the date of the appt… I see there is a $195 due after the visit AGAIN IT IS STILL NOT DISCLOSED! It is in very small writing below the appointment information. Once clicked on there is an estimated cost. So I read the cancellation policy. No fee disclosed there either. Upon appointment cancellation you are forced to accept the cancellation policy. Other than all of the above. The appointment was quick and easy to make.
Unprofessional
Do not use this practice. They are some of the most unprofessional people I have ever interacted with.
Terrible
Terrible. My provider did not show up to my scheduled appointment and customer service is nonexistent.
Spring Health is racist and if you…
Spring Health is racist and if you interview for a job and your hispanic they won't hire you. I don't recommend Spring Health at all.
TERRIBLE customer service.
TERRIBLE customer service.
Their mission is to "eliminate every barrier to mental health care" - that is a JOKE.
The financial strain, the lack of communication, being bounced from person to person if you have an issue with billing. It indeed creates MORE barriers, MORE stress.
My mental health has indeed decreased by using this company. Don't fall for their scam. USE ANY OTHER PROVIDER EXCEPT SPRING HEALTH
A simple request for information
Well when I was registering on their website there were many issues with it's structure and its not very user friendly. Should have realized then it was going to get worse. They do provide a quarterly debit card for OTC. I I registered the card.. did all the web site said was needed. Went to use the card as credit, which is recommended.. It requires a pin to use ... LOL. I put in a call to customer service, the person had no clue how the website was setup, giving instructions on how to use it.. finally my request to change the pin number was addressed. They said due to tech. issues it wasn't possible at this time to do that.. so I asked for the list of approved vendors and the response was I can recite them to you over the phone... I suggested why don't you email me the list... No I will not email it.. you listen or you will not get it..
I hung up and now I am posting this review
Don't use HeatlhSpringFlex
Bad customer service
You can do better elsewhere for these services
Scam
Scam - they give 10 “free” sessions to certain employees of companies but then charge you if you have to miss one. It’s clearly not “free”
Cannot get ahold of anyone / billing
I havent even had my first appointment. I have been trying for two weeks to find out why my appointments (supposed to be free) are all labeled that they are at a cost. Their help chat (bad AI) puts in a ticket that goes to another canned (bad AI) response that doesnt answer your questions.
Honestly for mental health care, this has been so frustrating and not worth it. These companies just want us to stay bad so they can predatorily profit off us.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointed With Spring Health
I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but my experience with Spring Health has been incredibly frustrating. One of the therapists actually ended up arguing with me during our session, which made me feel unheard and even more stressed than before. Therapy should feel supportive, not combative.
My next attempt wasn’t any better. The new therapist hardly remembered anything I had shared in our previous session. I had to repeat personal information and concerns I had already opened up about, which was upsetting and made the whole process feel pointless.
Overall, I didn’t feel supported, understood, or respected. For a service that emphasizes mental-health care, the inconsistency and lack of professionalism were really disappointing. I truly hope they improve, but I won’t be returning.
Garbage and unethical
Extreme Unprofessionalism and Shocking…
Extreme Unprofessionalism and Shocking Refusal of Care—Do NOT Trust Your Mental Health Here
Rating: 1 / 5 Stars
I am writing this review with deep disappointment and concern after a devastating experience with Paul Thompson through the Spring Health platform. My son, who is suffering from severe depression and anxiety, desperately needed help, and we booked an initial session hoping for professional support.
We were absolutely appalled when Mr. Thompson refused to engage in treatment based purely on a severe personal bias he held regarding a non-clinical personal affiliation of my son. He issued an ultimatum—either my son sever this non-essential personal tie or be denied care. This refusal has severely impacted my son’s mental well-being and is an egregious breach of professional ethics.
A mental health professional’s duty is, first and foremost, to provide competent care to individuals who are suffering, regardless of their background, beliefs, or personal associations that are non-clinical in nature. This refusal is the professional equivalent of refusing to help someone in crisis because the clinician personally disapproves of a non-essential lifestyle choice. It is inexcusable.
The fact that Spring Health maintains a platform that allows its providers to substitute personal prejudice for patient care speaks volumes about the organization’s integrity and oversight. Instead of making our situation better, this incident has compounded our stress and made my son feel worse.
We are actively filing a formal ethical complaint against Mr. Thompson’s license. I strongly caution anyone seeking mental health treatment to avoid Spring Health, as their platform appears to lack the necessary quality control to ensure patients receive unbiased, ethical, and professional care when they need it most.
My whole experience was terrible
My whole experience was terrible. I used this service as it is part of the employee support program. I was looking for maintenance therapy. From initial engagement to scheduling to billing it was terrible. As a mental health provider the therapist was mediocre at best and was unwilling to maintain appointments at consistent times. I had to cancel an appointment 6 hours prior to the appointment due to issues that came up as a mother with two young children. I got charged a 200 fee for no-showing. In addition they just charged my card this fee. As a professional who has worked in a few mental health settings this is not how you treat your clients. I would never recommend this company. It is better to just find a provider in network outside of this employer provided service.
Worst mental health support ever
Provider never answers me when requesting refill. I have to call and harass customer service every time I need a refill on medications I can’t miss (I’m not actually mean to them I know it’s not the representative’s fault).
Also, I continue to check my balance every other week and it always says my statement is $0.00. Then all of a sudden I get hit with over an $800 bill? Stay away from this company unless you want it to stress you out even more.
