Absolutely unacceptable experience with…

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Springboard Valuations Limited.
The survey carried out on our property was not just poor — it was fundamentally unreliable. The report contained multiple clear factual errors and demonstrated a basic lack of understanding of standard construction and inspection practices.
Examples include:
Recommending replacement windows with no valid justification
Claiming there was no silicone sealing around windows when it was visibly present
Incorrectly diagnosing damp in a fully renovated property
Taking damp meter readings against angle beads and electrical points (which is known to produce false readings)
Failing to recognise engineered brickwork and existing DPC protection
Stating there was no roof ventilation when it is clearly visible from the street
These are not minor oversights — they call into question whether the inspection was carried out properly at all.
The consequences were serious. Our buyer relied on this report and withdrew, costing us over £5,000 in legal and transaction fees.
Equally concerning is the lack of transparency. There are no clear contact details, no meaningful way to engage with the company, and no response from senior management, including Barry Brown.
Based on our experience, this report fell well below the standard expected of a competent surveyor. I would strongly caution anyone against relying on this company for something as important as a property survey.
