Difficult returns

Ordered a completed set of pads, helmet and stick. When I realized I had ordered the wrong size I immediately returned the items without even opening the box and made another order for the correct size. They only issued a partial refund and stated that they never received the helmet or stick even though I never removed items from the box. Was also told the original box wasn’t used when it had been. I won’t be using this company again.

Glad to take your money..

Glad to take your money... but will not help you with any issues.

Ordered items. There was fine print stating that one of the items will be delayed.
Confirmation did not state. Only when shipping the items did was it identified that it would be late. Company stated that they were unwilling to help or even try to make this work for us.

In essence, they are willing to be a middleman but only when it is convenient to them.

Avoid Sportstop.com

Avoid Sportstop.com. Purchased a head from them end of October. Early January it split. They sent a replacement that then split first use out of the box in the first 30 minutes of use. Refused to replace again or issue a refund, which was the preferred action.

This site honestly gave me complete disappointment. Ordered a sidewall spool. Shipping is 8 dollars and it took them over 4 days to even get the package to a usps facility. The support team sucks and doesn’t want to help you. I don’t recommend

Needed to dispute the charge with my Credit Card Company to get my money back

Sports Stop sent a faulty product and would not refund my money. I had a similar experience to others. They are great on the shipping and selling. Good luck if you want a refund or they make a mistake

The details is they sent a defensive shaft that had the grip coating break down so that it felt like it was covered in honey. They did not want it back, and eventually refunded me for the cost of the stick. They would not refund the shipping.

Sport Stop admitted in email that they knew about the issue for this particular brand of stick, and that they did not quality control the product before they sent it out. They actually sent me customer reviews that said they had an issue as an excuse as to why I should pay the shipping costs for a product that is in the trash can. Pretty much pathetic.

This company is great when they are selling you their product. Don’t try to return or exchange anything though. They blow you right off. You can’t exchange anything. It’s not an option. You can return it, but their website doesn’t process returns well and their customer support has no interest in helping you. I’ve been trying to exchange something for two hours and getting a response from them is like pulling teeth. And it costs $12 to make the return. Unbelievable

Purchased a StringKing LAX shaft and pre strung head. I thought I was getting a ok deal even with the included shipping and handling costs to get the product to Canada. However, SportStop does not disclose that the high shipping cost that they charge does not cover an additional charge that the carrier (FedEx in my case) will charge you after the parcel has been delivered for “administration/processing fee” for it to enter Canada. This cost me an additional $104.78
I tried to reach out to SportStop to discuss…..zero response.

Bad Exchange Policy

I've purchased hundreds if not thousands of dollars form Sports stop over the past several years. It was my "Go to" When I needed something in a pinch or for that special lacrosse gift.

The exchange policy blows.

My most recent purchase was for UA Rib Guards - A 50 dollar purchase for which I paid 11 dollars to ship them. When they arrived they were a touch too big. No problem, I thought, I'll simply exchange them...

Well. You can't exchange anything with SS. You can only flat return the item and then purchase again. So I did... and paid another 11 bucks to have the item shipped. then... I go to my email to look for the return shipping label only to discover that If I want it that it will cost me another 9 dollars. Doh!

So when you add up all of the shipping costs for an item I simply wanted to exchange I'll have paid 62% of the purchase price to get it here.

Lesson learned. My bad. Its a good company with a bad return policy. There are other options that should probably be explored.

I honestly thought I was buying a "mini" lacrosse stick for my new Great Grandson, but I was wrong. However, the quality of the stick I received is excellent, and I plan on giving it to his parents to hold for him until he's old enough to use it. Very fast service.
