What a great day out! We booked 2hrs clay pigeon tuition for our poker group. Great organisation, friendly team and brilliant training. Without doubt, you won't be disappointed

Great day shooting, 6 of the 8 of us had never shoot before but the instructor very helpful and ensured everyone enjoyed the experience. We will definitely book again.

I actually booked my session at sporting targets on 2nd November 2024, with one of those experience gift cards. I swapped it from some other experience that had no appeal to me at all. I arrived at Sporting Targets somewhat apprehensive of what the day was going to offer.

The experience was amazing, I really enjoyed it, I had no previous experience with shotguns. I even managed to hit a fair few targets as well. My only regret, I completely forgot to make a note of the gentleman's name that hosted myself and my wife for the morning. He was very professional, with a good sense of humour, and added to the whole experience.

I would thoroughly recommend Sporting Targets for an excellent day out, thank you.

Excellent experience. Did it as a family (12 y/o, 15 y/o and 2 adults. Each of us loved it. Did the riffles, archery and clay pigeon shooting. Fast paced, great support and advice from Rob our teacher.
Will go back and would highly recommend.

Rob was absolutely the best instructor we could possibly have had very calm and clear and concise communication from him, very polite and so much fun would definitely recommend. Will be back for sure.

From the very first phone call, through the booking process of the Clay Pigeon shooting, and on the day of the experience, the staff were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly.
Rob was the expert leading our little group, and he was fantastic. He kept us entertained with his funny stories, made sure we understood all the health and safety guidance, and somehow managed to help every one of us hit the targets. We had such a great time.
One member of our group uses a wheelchair, and Rob went out of his way to ensure he had exactly the same experience as everyone else. His care and attention made the day even more special.

Rob was absolutely brilliant with us. Made us feel incredibly welcome straight away with a brilliant sense of humour and his teaching ability was just second to none.

Incredibly helpful teaching us all as brand new first timers to shooting. His knowledge and patience with us was 5 stars. Would highly recommend.

The Sporting Target place was lovely with great grounds, multiple bays to shoot out of, and lovely facilities including food and drink, but Rob totally made the day what it was, his hospitality and overall experience was great.

Booked a shooting experience for my grandson’s birthday. So easy to book and really helpful staff.
Come the day, again the staff were fantastic. Our instructor, John Cummins, was brilliant. Very knowledgeable and good fun too. A thoroughly enjoyable time. Highly recommended

we were a group of 3 ladies and our instructor was Bob, who made the experience so enjoyable, he was patient & very attentive! and we laughed through the whole experience.

Went for the 1 hour clay shooting for 2 experience. Both of us have some previous gun experience but with the excellent and fun tutelage of John Cummins we both made some progress over the hour. Had so much fun, hour flew by and we would’ve happily stayed for longer. Already looking to book a lesson package with John. Thank you.

Sporting targets is a very welcoming environment and I would encourage any one a little nervous about shooting clay pigeons to have a go and just enjoy it.
We had the special opportunity to be taught by an expert instructor Vince Elder. Who was really easy to learn from and had a wealth of knowledge and experience, which really gave my daughter and I confidence.
With his tuition, are hit rates percentages went up as well as our smiles. We felt extremely safe and cared for and had the opportunity to ask lots of questions, which Vince was really happy to answer.
The catering was of a high standard and the food of good quality and reasonable prices. The environment in the lounge was relaxing and clear. The service was very good.

I booked the DofE training programme for my 17 year old son and have been so impressed. The 12 hours of lessons are such great value and the instructor John was superb. His ability to tailor his teaching to the personality of his student was amazing to watch and my son's shooting has improved dramatically. I would thoroughly recommend this programme.

Reasonable pricing, staff who are both friendly and well-informed, and a fantastic café to top it all off.

For my stag adventure, I decided to set up a clay pigeon shooting event and it turned out to be an incredible experience. The crew at Sporting Targets was exceptional, offering great support in planning everything, and our instructor, Rob, was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive throughout the day. John Cummins was just superb! A thoroughly enjoying day shooting at 5 stands and John got our whole group smashing clays at everyone, his guidance and humour were top rank. I have now signed up for my annual membership and look forward to booking more tuition at the club in the new year. We recently had our Christmas works event at Sporting Targets. The activities were great and the team at Sporting Targets look after us brilliantly. We would recommend this as an activity to anyone looking for something a little bit different.

We always do a daytime activity for our works Christmas party and this year the vote was to go clay pigeon shooting.

What a great choice.

Angela was super helpful in organising the booking and getting the plan in place for the day. The instructors were great, really helpful, good fun and made everybody welcome/comfortable - especially those who'd never shot before.

The setup for shooting is great, when we've done it before it's basically some traps in a field but this is a purpose built facility with tons of choice, so even those that shoot regularly would enjoy it!

Finally, the food was great and the staff in the club house really looked after us.

Great few hours and would highly recommend for a Christmas party or other work related / team building event.

We decided to hold a company event at Sporting Targets as a precursor to our Christmas Lunch and we're so glad we did.

Communication during the planning was superb, the team were flexible with changes to the booking and we ultimately enjoyed a fantastic day.

Hosts were knowledgeable, genial and professional, the centre itself is a real gem of a place and the regulars tolerated us admirably!

It's a very professional set up and we all had a brilliant time. Some were excited by the idea of a clay-pigeon shoot while others were a bit more hesitant but the Sporting Targets team were superb whatever level people were at.

Highly recommended.
