An absolutely horrendous company when…

An absolutely horrendous company when you try to exit the contract. They should & will be reported to the consumer authority. They never sent the terms and conditions, but then just use you to take your money. And if you explain that you have moved, they ask for literally all the documents possible (rental contract, insurance, ticket - the more the merrier), which makes them most likely non compliant with GDPR. Maybe next time I should also give them my bank account pin? Horrible and untrustworthy. Stay away from them.

I used to love this gym

I used to love this gym. But past few years it seems there is no limit for the amount of members and it gets absolutely PACKED from around 15:00 to 21:00. Seriously, I've had days in which I simply had to walk away because there was not one machine, bench or rack available. I've been coming here for 9 years and I regret to say its time to look elsewhere.

Toxic environment and Unprofessional employees

I do not normally go to that location(conradstraat-Rotterdam) but on that day i had a meeting in the center and I decided to have a yoga session myself and do some squats and lunges. When I was doing my yoga 2 girls started to train behind me even all room was empty and one of them talked to other as a personal trainer. After my yoga was finished I asked why do they do one specific movement to learn what their goal is as a "body goal". Personal trainer said "we are doing back day today and it is good foor lats" and then I said "It is working your oblique muscles and this causes thickening of the waistline, i wanted to let you know about it...I stopped doing those" She got angry and said "you dont know our goal" then i said "you are right that's why I asked but enjoy your workout!" and left for the squat rack.

After 20 minutes she came to me and said she did not like that i got involved, then I apologized and she said she knows I do not have a bad intention and she started to talk about how men put women down in the gym. I said that I am not a man and if there is nothing more I have to continue my training.I explained that I am getting cold because I am sweaty and She said that she is not done with talking and got very aggressive. I said she can talk to the reception about it and then she said she works there(!) and that i have to listen to her. I was trying to de-escalate the situation but she was keep coming at me. I said if she is not happy she can tell to reception and receptionist come talk to me about it. She said the receptionist is the manager and her friend at the same time. I asked her name she did not want to say it, manager came to us too and start shouting at me. I found myself crying and shouting too because everybody started looking at me. I have social anxiety and I often have panic attacks in crawded places.

They did not say their name eventhough I said I would like to send an email and make a complain about them. I don't know who those girls are but they became together and bully me in my safe happy place. My intention was just to start a conversation and actually make friends but apperantly I deserved a speech about how men put girls down in the gym. I am 26 year old girl going to sportcity(earlier Fit For Free) for almost 5 years. I've never experienced anything negative with staff. They were giggling when i decided to leave and i made their picture than because as an employee in the gym you should never entertain yourself by bullying a member.

Also how ethical that an employees can behave like it is highschool? A good sportcity manager would try to de-escalate the situation and listen to the member rather than her "bestie". So unprofessional and toxic. Good luck in life ladies.
