Where's the spores . One little tiny blob in a 10 cc syringe. The other had a light little dusting of what I think are spores. No return phone call .will never do business with this company again. 😴

I think many people need to work on their techniques before blaming the spores. I purchased several syringes to isolate genetics on agar and I had an amazing experience! I did several things wrong to begin with but still have fantastic results with the material I got from Sporeworks. I hope to do more business with them in the future as I get further into microscopy.

I have purchased over 30 syringes from sporeworks in less than 6 months. I wasted the first dozen getting it figured out, but I got it right. I have several containers with various types of mycelium growing. A few pure from the beginning and some rescued from mold and other contaminates and successfully cloned. The problem came with the holiday specials. 4 dead cubensis, 2 each azurescens and cyanescens both good. Then 2 each azurescens and cyanescens all dead and 12 cubensis contaminated with green mold. No more sporeworks

My original review posted below. Sporeworks Customer Service has since gone above and beyond to rectify the situation. They were understanding of the situation and explained their Guarantee and commitment to a quality product. They are replacing the product in a timely manner. I am well pleased with their customer service department and commitment to supplying a viable product. THUMBS UP!

I asked for productive product. I can not study the complete cycle if the product will not spawn. I paid good money for the product and in 20 bags, I had no mycelium. I asked for information and all I got was a BS answer that they did not have to provide product for any thing but the microscope.

So: I've read every single *one star* review on this site and I must say--those people leaving them clearly do not know what they are talking about... They simply are not using these spores for their intended purpose: MICROSCOPY USE ONLY. :-) :-) :-)
The customer service is top notch and they ship super fast via USPS and UPS.
In our lab, my colleagues and I have been able to create many specimens of note and we look forward to each year's offering of dry prints + syringes, packed fresh and **thick** with spores.
Kind of incredible, if you ask me!
Also, I think this company is the oldest **premium** spore provider in the US (est. 1998)! Thank you Spore Works!!!

I've been using Sporeworks for almost 10 years. I've personally worked with almost all their strains. Bought the same mss multiple times as well. I'd estimate I've ordered and used 30-40 of their mss syringes (for microscopy purposes only of course) over the years. I've never, not once had a bad syringe. I've never, not once gotten a "dirty" syringe. I have had one order where I received the wrong specimens. Contacted them, and they sent me the correct ones immediately.

I assure you, any negative reviews stem from operator error or perhaps other suppliers looking to smear their name. If you're still in doubt, get on social media and search their name amongst knowledgeable people. You'll quickly find out the truth. They are unequivocally the most reputable company operating in the space and it's not close.

Ordered 12 syringes and spent over $150 with this company, not a single syringe produced anything. Sporeworks are scammers, with fake and fraudulent products, save your hard earned money and find a reputable source. All 5 star are likely fake bot reviews.

Scam company.
Order contained inactive and likely contaminated spore particulate /material.

They present themselves as legit with this lie & false narrative blanket-statement of “as long as you only use the material for microscopy” and do not have “results” or other gobbledygook to CYA (cover your ass) (their ass) so they aren’t held legally accountable for selling psilocybin spores for further research into legit professional use.
Called for refund or a shipment of a new active spore syringe for micro-use, etc.

Was given the form letter lecture by woman on phone, accusing me of presumption’s on her end and the literally hung-up on.

I’ll take this issue to the BBB & also to my credit card company and report as fraud.

All the five-star reviews are fake.& so robotic in their praise, while the one star reviews are specific & detailed issues with similar problems (obvious fraudulent activity).

Please, ladies of Sporeworks…do not return with your form-letter generic response to this review with more empty guarantees & lies.

Three weeks and nothing, zip. Looks like others have same experience.

Dead spores. Would not germinate on any medium. Wish I had read the reviews here before wasting my money. I emailed them about it and got an auto response that said they couldn't help me.
I see they have responded to others here who had the same experience by blaming it on shipping. Spores can survive 120 degree F to freezing temps, so much for your lame excuses.
Avoid this company.

I have used this business 3 times now and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. They are extremely helpful and professional not to mention they have always given me bonus products free of charge. Negative reviews are mostly from people that do not understand mycology and had a poor experience due to their incapabilities at growing even the simplest species of mushrooms.

I tried growing the mushrooms and they didn’t yield anything the first time around with the golden teachers. Dissatisfied

Received the spores and inoculated. Absolutely nothing! I’ve grown before with success and also had some contamination. But this time there is nothing after 3 weeks. The only reason I’m writing this review is because I sent sporeworks an email about this issue and absolutely no response. Changing vendor.

Would never buy from them.. look at they're reviews. Companies trash now. Dead.

This company is excellent. They've got customer service down pat (all the Reps sound super hot on the phone btw) and honestly Sporeworks offers the best product out there. Don't trust the haters, those wooks don't even know what they're doing... If you're serious about your interest in mycology-choose Sporeworks. They won't steer you wrong.

Two stars because Anita is so helpful with orders. Unfortunately, nothing is happening with the spores from two syringes I bought and used to inoculate grain bags in early August. No contam; just nothing. A total waste of time, money and a lot of effort. Will not order from sporeworks again.

I had an old order (October) of spores that wasn’t used at all. I used them and kept getting contam. It wasn’t until much later that I found out the spores were bad. They offer a 30 day replacement but I’m well beyond that and they didn’t want to replace them. I’ve gotten spores from them in the past with no issue but not anymore. If you’re going to spend the money don’t gamble on contamination bc if you don’t find out in less than 30 days you’re on your own.

Just received the order for a 4 syringe spore pack on sale. This is not the 1st time I've ordered spores, just the 1st from sporeworks. The samples look great! I have no doubt that they will grow, but will be back if I am wrong. *** Update: After 1 month I have good growth on 3 of the 4 syringes I bought from sporeworks. The one that hasn't is the black morels and I think the temp just needs to be adjusted. Be patient!
