Five months of searching, two weeks to an offer
I'm a game mathematician: I work out RTP, volatility and paytables for slots. When my studio shut down, I spent five months looking for work. General job boards barely list roles like mine, and recruiters kept treating me like a data analyst.
SpinHire was the first place I saw a list of game math jobs that actually showed salary ranges. I applied to three. A week later I got a test task, a bonus-game simulation, and the week after that I had an offer.
Now I work remotely for a game provider based in Malta. My advice if you're still looking: on your CV, name the mechanics you've built the maths for. Don't just write "Python and statistics.
