0 stars. They charged me 1000 AED for security deposit, after I left the car and they said , in maxim 21 days will send the money, It past more than 21 days and they don’t send money. They are scammers. Avoid this company!!!

Worst rental car ever.
The people who deliver the car are very nice but the rest is a nightmare.
When you call for an issue you have 5 different people calling you back and you have to say again and again the same thing.
They charge you more than you should. Be sure to always request a proof for everything.
And when you ask for detail they never reply.
I will not recommend it. Never again

I don't recommend anyone to rent from this company, they are Manipulators and cheaters, I tried them for one time only for emergency matter and it was the baddest experience ever, Please take care, they're cheaters.

Be careful with this provider! They lure you in with favourable prices but you don't get your deposit back! I will get a lawyer involved and sue this company! Do not rent a car here

I was incorrectly charged on my refund in March 2024. Untill today (May) i am still waiting for the correct payment to be made. They took my money in 2 minutes and now i have waited over 2 months for the payment. I have multiple emails from the team saying it is under approvals and to just wait due and other excuses. I have to call every week and i am constantly told ‘it will be done this week’ or ‘someone will contact you’ which of course never happens. This is the worst customer experience i have had with any company and i do not recommend speedy drive to anyone. Agreement number MRA332303773.

Where do i even begin, even the one star review is too generous for this company. Sure, at first you will notice the very attractive rates compared to its competitors, and you will be lured in to the trap. Even the 1,000 AED deposit that they ask you for doesn't feel like much of a hassle because you'd expect you'll get it back fully and in a timely manner, right? Wrong.

1) Their agents will lie to you to get the sale done ( For example, the agent that spoke to me promised me all inclusive delivery/return of the car for the price of just the delivery which is 50 AED, except when it was time to finally give the car back
2) You'd expect point 1 to be bad enough, but no! if you request for a pickup after the initial discussion you have with them, the price magically becomes 150 AED ( YES ONE HUNDRED FIFTY) for the same service that was initially offered at 50 AED, and that's despite you giving them ample amount of time to collect it (I.E not a rushed service)
3) The inspection pictures are apparently taken intentionally blurry to mask any damages on the car and take your sweet deposit from you. Lucky for me, when i was handed the car i told the driver i will be taking a video myself. Surprise surprise, upon the delivery inspection, the guy confidently showed me 3 bumps and scratches on the car that were allegedly not there before i rented the car (Just for 48 hours!) and was proceeding to show these damages as my own before i interrupted him and showed him the video here he reluctantly had to write in the report that the car was recovered in the same condition it was delivered.
4) The terms and conditions and handover paper you sign will show a value for fuel 0/8 so that you think that this is all inclusive package contrary to other rental companies who will highlight to you the level and advise you to return the car with the same level to avoid any penalties, but the report that they will have to inform you at the end will magically contain the fuel level and rest assured you will be charged a premium for any missing bar.
5) Also contrary to other rental companies, when they are late to recover the car, even if it's because they are not able to, they will charge you an additional day even though you informed them well in advance to recover the car before the allocated time so you avoid the penalty, and good luck trying to explain yourself because :
6) And this is the absolute worst part, the customer service. Dodgy, evasive, unhelpful, ensuring to drain your full energy and consume your whole time without letting you reach any point where you're satisfied. Each operator will throw you to the next one, they will tell you we will reach out to you in one business day and yet no one will ever reach out to you, the sales will forward you to the billing and the billing team will tell you the system automatically deducts money we can't do anything about it ( LOL). As with the remaining reviews you will see, you will have to chase them to the end of the world for that 1,000 AED deposit, that's if you recover it as is with all the hidden charges they have (Which ironically, is what they CLAIM so proudly on their website that they are the opposite of such a company)

TLDR : If you want to rent a car, please for your own sake, don't be tempted by their lower rates, as sure enough the "hidden charges" will bring you back to competitor prices and above.
For reference, my initial booking was for 388 AED for two days.

The extras i was to be charged you ask?
- 150 AED for recovery which was initially promised to be inclusive
- 80 AED for fuel
- 180 AED for the extra day that i am not responsible for as their team was not available and they expected me to leave my work mid-day and deliver the car, incurring additional taxi fees upon return
- The deposit? let's wait and see how long i have to wait for it, if i even recover half of it at this point.

Thank you Speedy Drive, for teaching me a lesson, that a good, transparent service comes at a price, and you guys are definitely not it.

It's better to take taxi every day than to rent from these people.

These guys are equivalent to scammers - never straight forward, conniving and very awful customer service.

They will deduct money from your account without your permission even if you tell them not to do so without your approval.

They shout at you, will never give back your deposit and ignore you when you call them or try to reach out. Also, they'll never get back to you.

They are one step away from being proper criminals in the UAE.

Scam and unprofessional and never refund deposit , I would never deal with them even if free of charge!!!!

They are the most useless car rental company in Dubai! Have been waiting over 90 days for my deposit. They just read messages on whatsapp, the call center agents just egnore or drop the call. Useless

I wish I could give this rental car service zero stars, but unfortunately, that's not an option. My recent experience with Speedy Drive was nothing short of a disaster.

Poor Customer Service: The customer service representatives were utterly incompetent and unhelpful. I was met with rude and dismissive attitudes. It's clear that they have no regard for customer satisfaction.

Hidden Fees: Despite being asked to collect the vehicle as agreed (no driver came), they collected it the next day, I was shocked to discover a slew of hidden fees upon refunding my security deposit. Tehy charged me extra day which is not even my fault. It seems that [Speedy Drive Rental Car enjoys nickel-and-diming their customers, which is completely unacceptable.

Unprofessional Staff: To top it all off, the staff at the rental location were unprofessional and disorganized. It took forever to deliver the car and collect the vehicle. It's clear that they have no respect for their customers' time.

Overall, my experience with Speedy Drive Rental Car was a complete nightmare, and I would strongly advise anyone considering renting from them to look elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and choose a reputable rental car company that actually cares about its customers.

Communication is very bad. They never respect. Once you pay the deposit, your money is gone. Documentation work is always misleading. They will always try to make you pay for dents that was not done by you as the renter.

I got the car empty, I filled it up, they promised to pay me for a half tank of petrol, they did not! They never ever answer messages or pick up calls. I got all messages that I have sent them and I am more than happy to share this as evidence of what I am saying. I would not recommend this company for anyone. Not honest and never responsive. Once you get the car, you are in a trap.

I needed urgently car at 8:30 pm . Company representstive called and told that driver will call me at 8 pm and will deliver the car to any place in Dubai. Its 9:30 pm and nobody called. PLEASE READ OTHER REVIEWS BELOW AND DONT RENT CAR FROM THIS IRRESPONSIBLE COMPANY.

They say that you will receive the money after one month but is not true. The customer service via whatsup is ignoring you. They are scammer and they lie. Disgraceful service - was told the car would be delivered - 3 hours after it was due to be delivered I am still waiting. When I called to ask what was going and said I was writing a review on line they told me if I wrote a bad review I would not get the delivery fee discounted. Bully boy tactics - dreadful customer service.

Absolutely disgusting service. These guys have not got a clue what customer service means. I was told refund of deposit within 30 days. Its now 38 days and I have not got my refund. Called the office and I was told that the delay is due to software upgrade and I am going to have to wait another 10 days. Its like they are doing me a favour returning my own money back to me. First of all your software upgrade is non of my concern or problem that's for you to deal with and if there are going to be delays, have the least bit of courtesy to inform your customer. I shouldn't have to waste my time chasing my own money. They are very quick at taking the money wonder why there are never any system issues when you want to take the money. I will be reaching out to consumer rights if I don't get my money back in the next couple of days.

Car was returned 24th December and I am still awaiting my refundable deposit as of today 20th February 2024. They keep making excuses. They also incorrectly charged me with a random cost, if I did not check my statement accurately they would have over charged me. Horrible service.

This car rental company is a complete disaster. They charged my card without consent, a serious violation. Not only did they fail to maintain their vehicles properly, but they also stored my card details without permission. During my rental of a Nissan Micra, I encountered numerous issues: defective engine, malfunctioning windows, and a dead battery on the last day. The ordeal of waiting for their maintenance team for three hours was excruciating. Despite these troubles, they had the audacity to charge me for an extra day's rent and withhold my security deposit. Attempts to contact them via phone and WhatsApp were futile; it seems they are experts at avoiding customer complaints. Save yourself the headache and avoid this company at all costs. Their shady practices and lack of assistance make them unworthy of your trust. Beware, and spread the word to prevent others from falling victim to their deceitful tactics.
