  1. Insulation Contractor

Written by the company

Southern Seal Insulation is a veteran-owned, family-operated insulation company based in Sandy Springs, Georgia, serving homeowners across Metro Atlanta. Founded by combat veteran Luke Clark, we bring the values that guided his service to every attic and crawl space we work in: integrity, accountability, and doing the job right. We specialize in spray foam insulation, blow-in insulation, batt insulation, air sealing, crawl space encapsulation, and insulation removal and sanitization. Whether your home is fighting summer heat, high energy bills, or rooms that never feel comfortable, we help you understand what’s actually going on. What sets us apart is how we approach every visit. Our honest evaluations are just that: honest. We walk you through what we find, lay out your options clearly, and let you decide what’s right for your home and budget. If your attic doesn’t need work, we’ll tell you. We’d rather earn your trust than sell you something you don’t need. We carry insurance that protects both you and your home, and many of our customers find us through neighbors and community referrals. We work hard to keep it that way. And yes, we have a mascot. Cozy the Seal, our Chief Comfort Officer, is a reminder of what we’re here to do: Sealing comfort. Saving energy.

Honest High Quality Sandy Springs GA Home Insulation by Veteran Owned Southern Seal Insulation

BLUF: Trustworthy, consumer reasonably priced, high quality of service for residential insulation removal+installation in Sandy Springs, GA

From initial assessment of ~4k+ sq ft home's conditioned/unconditioned spaces to determine the structure's envelope for an assessment report's recommended solution with itemized estimate to achieve overall r-49, to the execution of the recommended solution's deployment, Sandy Springs, GA's Southern Seal Insulation's process deserves recognition for transparency, earnest explanation of why a solution was recommended vs unnecessarily wasting time + money for less applicable solutions, and effectively managing quality legacy insulation removal/cleanup and installing new insulation with immediately noticeable effects. Special note: Attic ladder/door entrance was further insulated with an r-15 rated attic door cover, which was expertly installed. Flir thermal showed improved door seal.

Honorable mentions:
Veteran, Luke Clark, deserves recognition for complete end-to-end customer account management. You get trustworthy, passionate, very knowledgeable, dependable, and empathetic all in a multi-faceted effective project manager who clearly knows his craft. Luke was also hands on with air-sealing gaps e.g. junction boxes, ceiling fixtures, and noticeable gaps, and personally installed an attic door insulation door cover that further improved overall effective insulated envelope coverage.

Chuck, Adolfo, Alex, and Alberto, each performed as a unified team to methodically and thoroughly remove degraded fiberglass insulation safely, chemically sanitized, and installed Owens Corning blown in fiberglass + rolled batts to achieve uniform R-49 throughout 2 distinct attic spaces. Hoses were carefully routed, secured through access points, and primary walkways were covered Handheld radios were used to improve communications instead of constantly yelling.
