I ordered this as a gift, it was dispatched quickly but didn't actually arrive. I contacted Jim and he immediately got a new one packed and sent out, which arrived today. Can't fault that kind of customer service.

Despite my first box of Weck jars turning up damaged, Jim replied promptly to my email, took on board my comment about more packaging being needed between the jars and sent out replacements straight away. I loved the personal email that Sourdough by the Sea’s founder Jim took the trouble to write. It made me feel like my custom was valued.
Also the three jars etc offer was so quick and easy to order.

Bought 2 more dry starters arrived really quickly , I genuinely can’t rate this product high enough it’s the perfect gift or the start of new hobbie . Phil

I bought the full starter kit for my husband of this birthday and he loves it!
He is making the most delicious bread and is getting really confident.
The instructions to start, he found a bit tricky, as he didn’t know how to fold the dough (so maybe the instructions could me more specific for a complete novice), but he looked at a YouTube video and was away.

Great product. The starter arrived well packaged and is still going strong. Easy to follow instructions and after a couple of feeds was ready to use. Very happy with my purchase.

My order was sorted quickly and efficient with only a minor alteration to the specifications of the order. The baguettes produced were good but it is always difficult to get the same taste as a professional boulangerie due to it being baked in a regular oven.
