Somewhere South (SoSo) is a women’s social club and community bringing women together across the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Bristol. Founded by Cathryn Ball and Emily Hearn-Evans after experiencing first-hand how difficult it can be to make new friends as an adult, SoSo was created to tackle loneliness and create a welcoming community where every woman feels she belongs. While there are communities for specific ages or stages of life, we wanted to build one that welcomes all women. We host thoughtfully curated social events including walks, coffee mornings, brunches, wellness experiences, creative workshops and evenings out, making it easy to meet new people, make new friends and build genuine connections in a relaxed, friendly environment. Whether you’ve just moved to the area, work from home, are navigating a new chapter or simply want to expand your social circle, you’ll always be met with a warm welcome. Our mission is simple: to help women feel connected, build lasting friendships and create a place where every woman belongs.

So welcoming and inclusive all my anxiety coming to something where I knew no one were dispelled. I loved the open water experience and being with other people to enjoy it . The community that is being created by Emily & Cat is just amazing and I look forward to coming to more events and challenging myself to new experiences and look forward to meeting new people.
Great clay workshop. Fun time with excellent tuition. Perfect agenda which allowed time to experiment with the media whilst being relaxed and able to mix and chat with the other ladies. Looking forward to meeting up again to collect our plates! All in all I would highly recommend attending these SOSO activities. And that glass of wine was a lovely surprise too 🥰
The clay pressing event with SoSo was yet another fantastic event. SoSo puts their all into creating a welcoming social space and are always on hand throughout the events should you need anything. What a relaxing, vibrant and connective event. Thank you so much for a really wonderful experience.
I’ve met such lovely ladies every time I’ve been. Emily and Cat make sure everyone is included and I have really enjoyed every event I’ve done so far. Hoping to do more very soon! Thank you ladies for all your hard work x
