The problem was identified as a damaged panel. Had a follow up email within an hour of my conversation with links to replacement panels & a discount code. Much appreciated!
I ordered the new panel on the 22nd. It was shipped the following day and arrived yesterday evening.
Brilliant service, thank you. I don't think you could improve on that.

Alex gave me excellent advice how to check that my dual control unit was effectively working and sending power to both my leisure and engine batteries in my camper.

More importantly the UK customer service was excellent. Issues with using the vehicle's 12v socket and battery but Alex guided me through the ODB power option: including how to find the ODB port and checking I had found the correct ODB to 12v socket adaptor.

The products from Solar Technology are of good quality, innovative and much better than cheaper alternatives that can be found at other well known online retailers or market places. That said I had some issues correctly configuring a trickle charger that also required a controller to be used with an AGM battery which is located overseas, so trouble shooting was a little stop/start spanning several months. That said, Alex T. provided excellent support throughout, was patient, informative and resolved my issue with the minimum of fuss.
The only advice I'd give to Solar Technology is (a) that an initial upsell opportunity was missed when I didn't realise that a controller would be required to use their trickle charger with an AGM battery and it was only through a little Q&A with Alex T. that I realised this would be required, the website could be a little clearer in this regard and (b) the instructions supplied with these particular products could also be a little clearer for novices such as myself. If the information that Alex T. supplied could hvae been included in the trickle chargers manual, or included with the controller then I could have used the product correctly from the outset without having the need to bother the support team, but when they were called upon the team were great.

I had a technical issue with my MPPT Pro solar charger. As a complete electrical ignoramus I was concerned I would never get it working again.
I got in touch with their tech support and received, within a very short time the most excellent advice with superb step by step instructions. I followed those and everything is once again working perfectly.
It unusual to have a company that provides an excellent product and then backs that up with responsive, spot on technical support, several years after original purchase.

A query I had on about connecting their solar panel fitted on my motorhome to a Jackery power bank was dealt with very promptly and with detailed explanations and advise. It led to further questions and a series of email exchanges . Each one dealt with in a prompt , friendly and professional way.
Alex is a credit to the company !
Would not hesitate in using the company again and in recommending them .

Very poor quality solar panels, 2 panels failed within 2 years and now refusing to replace as outside a 2 year period from the original purchase!! They advertise a 4 year warranty on their website!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I received a prompt response to a pre-sales email enquiry, my various questions were answered (at length) and the following discussion withe technical expert via several more emails was also conducted speedily. I was not made to feel ignorant of the solar principles and finished the discussion having found out what I needed to know and more. So I bought the items I was interested in and they will arrive soon! Customer Care is easy if you actually care, and have experienced people to field queries. Competitors take note - this is how pre-sales support should work.

The solar is fitted to my Coachman 665 caravan, it’s out of warranty but the service I had from Alex and the team was exemplary, I couldn’t connect via Bluetooth, Alex gave me options via Email and links to their help line, still no joy so it was agreed, at no cost, just postage, to send the controller back for inspection. Sent it on the Monday, had a call pm on the Tuesday, faulty Bluetooth module, £20 to repair, paid over the phone, unit arrived pm on the Wednesday….perfect, fantastic service and everyone I dealt with was exceptional, would not hesitate in recommending.
