I'm glad I chose this company to…

I'm glad I chose this company to install my solar panels. The system was installed in May of 2024, absolutely no issues since then, and it is Jan 2026 now.

The guys do clean work, and the install was done on the same day. That's scaffold up, panels fitted, battery & inverter installed. Highly recommend them. If I need to contact them, they come back to us pretty quickly with solid advice!
You can definitely trust these guys to do a good job. I should also say, the install was inspected by SEAI (They will do random checks on installs for grant purposes.) The inspector said everything was done within regulation, and made no recommendations. So, 5 stars from me.

Since then, I had a changeover installed, along with an EV charger and both of these visits went smooth too.

Quick accurate quote, easy to deal with, excellent work and service.

Having considered Solar PV for my house a couple of times in the past this time the difference which made me go ahead was the fact that you can now sell back to the grid. Once we decided to go for it I asked 3 companies to provide a quote. The first company called out done a quick site inspection and provided an estimate before leaving. The second company also called promptly and did a site survey but took a week longer to quote and weren't any better value. The third was Solar Home and it was a different level of service.

First within an hour of filling out an enquiry form on their website I received a call back. During the call the salesperson had Google maps open and used it to ascertain what direction my roof surfaces were oriented toward (very important for solar) and also worked out roughly how many panels could be accommodated. From this he could already give me a rough quote, and also arranged a technical visit for the following morning. The site visit ended in a refined quote based on our usage of electric, our options for panel and battery placement, and possible combinations that would help make the most of our potential for solar generation. This visit was concluded with a very competitive quote that was actually cheaper than both competitors and would provide a higher number of panels with a higher output per panel, and roughly double the battery capacity (which has already begun to pay off on cloudy days and allowed me to buy at night rates sell at higher day rates to the grid, arbitrage).

Once I decided to go ahead I was installed within a few weeks with no delays on the process for the grant. The install was very low hassle. We were given a comprehensive walk through of the app to control and monitor the system. And since the install I have had a very helpful call with one of the technical team in the office which really helped me to understand how to get the most out of the system.

But what everyone really wants to know is how is it performing. Well we received our first bill the solar was in for 6 out of the 8 weeks and 70% of the bill was standing charges, levy's, and VAT. Overall the bill was tiny. Given we run an electric car, all our heating (air to water heat pump), and everything you'd expect of a busy 4 person household. 95% of the 6 weeks was essentially cost free from a unit charge perspective. And had I leveraged the tech team members knowledge a little sooner I could have probably pushed it to 100%.
