Made my life easier

This was a one stop shop for me to research the options out there. An advisor helped us assess our needs and then suggested CRMs. This allowed us to narrow down our search.

This organization appears to be deeply connected to Trustradius. They use exactly the same Review form - complete with exactly the same questions and options. Trustradius.com

Expect LOTS of sales calls and emails if you do this

Initial call was fine. I wanted advice on a short list of accounting software options I could look into. The after-effect is like signing yourself up for spam. Multiple auto sales emails every day from some of these companies. Plus multiple daily phone calls from vendors (even though I asked to receive only emails). Overall, I can't recommend and wouldn't use again.

The advice was useful, but gazillion spam calls after I spoke to them.

The advice given by them was useful, however DONT GIVE THEM YOUR PHONE NUMBER. After I spoke to one of their representative, I started getting Spam calls - as good as 50 calls a day, and when its a work phone, you cant not answer a call. So practically, I am answering spam calls the entire day. I even requested them to remove me if that was possible, but i believe that was too late.

Impressed with Honesty, Integrity and Not Trying To Just Get a Sale

I was reviewing Transaction Pro Software and was sent to the Software Advice website for pricing. I put in my information and immediately received a phone call. The gentleman I spoke with was very detailed in ensuring he understood what I was looking for and what I needed in the software. Once he understood what I wanted, he was sincere in saying it was not something they handled directly, and I could go directly to the Transaction Pro website and use their Live Chat feature to get the information I needed. He didn't try to change my mind, upscale me, or sway me toward a different software. His honesty, thoroughness, integrity, willingness to help, and directness impressed me. I will definitely use them again if I am looking for something that fits into their ballpark.

No user experiences here

Software Advice does not solicit reviews from actual users, nor does it provide the opportunity for users to submit input. Therefore, reviews displayed on the website are entirely skewed toward b2b and purchasing office interests. Purchasing office interests do not necessarily reflect the ease of use for consumers or employees. In many cases a PO may be happy to save money with an inferior software product while employees or consumers suffer under software that is neither intuitive nor appropriate for the setting.

The Perfect Fit!

They took the time to call and ask me detailed questions about my needs and wants in software options that I had spent hours already trying to do myself. They then narrowed down the never ending list of options to be the best few that might meet my needs and had some of them reach out to me immediately. I honestly didn't think based on my own review that one option would fit, but after speaking with their sales person within a couple of days their pitch was exactly what I was looking to purchase!

Very helpful in your search process for the right product

No advice from Software Advice - time wasted. edit: But later Software Advice fixed the situation

Contacted Software Advice for recommendations on accounting software. They were the top search result and seemed legit based on their website.

Left my contact information (phone number and email). Was quickly contacted by their representative and we spent some time (approx. 10 minutes) discussing my needs. Before providing recommendations "Software Advice" asked for my address and postal code. This seemed strange to me since Software Advice already had my phone number and the area code provides the region (for any specific pricing or licensing).

I informed the representative that I was uncomfortable providing this additional address information. At this point, I was informed that no recommendations can be given unless I provide the requested address information.

In summary: No advice from Software Advice - phone & email for potential use in spamming - time wasted

Edit: Within 3 hours of posting a review on TrustPilot, a representative from Software Advice contacted me by email with an apology and explanation. Furthermore, I was provided with software recommendations.
