"What a Clinic, What a Team, What Care. Thank you, Dr Rafi & The Sophia Implant Clinic! It was quite an experience. Easy flights Ryanair from Scotland, Edinburgh direct to Sofia. We booked our own hotel, but the clinic can help arrange this. The clinic sales team did organize taxis to and from our hotel every day.
Everyone in the clinic you meet speak fluent English, and it was also good to meet other UK patients throughout my week.
Your arrival is met with a smile by the lovely receptionists. You are taken to meet one of the highly experienced Dental Surgeons. You are then taken for a 3D Scan and sit down with your Doctor to discuss the best and safest plan for you. Please be aware that there may be additional costs depending on your treatment needs, but the price cannot be determined until the Doctor has seen your 3D Scan. Doctor Rafi and his team has your best interest at heart, and safety is a priority. Once you know what is required, you are taken to see one of the sales team Kris or Martin with your recommended plan. Everyone has different requirements and expectations, and only the Doctor can recommend what plan you need. There are options on the plan so check them .
During surgery, the Doctor can also reduce costs if something is not required during your treatment , so your plan may be adjusted. Once you agree on your plan, you are given an appointment schedule.

There can be some waiting, but you can enjoy the music or grab a coffee or bite to eat next door. My plan was two bridges and two lower implants. My lovely dentist took care of my bridges and was very professional and funny (hopefully, his English will improve on my next visit 🤣). His lovely dental nurse ( brilliant English) was very calming. The implants are an invasive surgical procedure and are managed by the surgeons. If you are afraid of pain or nervous about needles, don't hesitate to ask the dentist for numbing spray before receiving your local anesthetic in your gums.
BIG TIP HERE: Be prepared not to eat anything solid or that needs chewed .. Implants need two months to settle and allow the bone to grow around it. So for the duration of your stay we asked our hotel kitchen for fresh soups daily and soft foods. If menu not suitable take a trip in taxi to supermarket to buy your fruit, Hot soups are available hotels can reheat, jelly, yoghurts , scrambled egg and some chocolate melted on tongue lol .
So would I recommend the Surgeons & Dentist and their teams ? 100% ✔️

The Australian bloke Kriss was my consultant.
At first I was worried about scams and hidden costs, but no , Sofia Implant Center is modern, extremely clean and professional Dental Building.

The Journey from Australia to Sofia, via Doha was, was a breeze.
I stayed at the Hilton that was amazing too.

Sofia City is safe and such an interesting place to visit. I'm glad I didn't go to Bali or Thailand. I've got a brand new stage 1 grills in me mouth and now I can smile again. Contact Kriss (from Melbourne) you won't regret it. Cheers and enjoy your journey to Sofia, Bulgaria ❤️

I can thoroughly recommend the Sofia Implant Centre! The clinic was always spotlessly clean, the equipment of the highest quality. The reception staff were welcoming and very professional, the dentists and their assistants were amazing, all the technicians and other staff were excellent too, the drivers very professional and always on time. Many thanks to Kris, my contact from the very beginning who was excellent and guided me through every step. Its life changing being able to smile again, its been a long time since I last smiled with confidence, the Implant Centre has made it all possible. Hi all hope you all are keeping well sorry its been late for the review finally got round to it today I would like to say regarding SOFIA IMPLANTS you are the BEST I Kevin Astley and my wife Elizabeth Astley visited sofia implants on Dec 10th 2023 for 5days 15 th dec the staff Dentist are so professional in every aspect from start to finish Nothing was to much trouble I would highly recommend anybody having All on 6 top and bottom implants to visit this sofia implants I can't wait to come back in June to finish the rest of the treatment me and the wife also I would like to say thankyou to kris-George was so helpful a great sales person nothing was to much trouble thanks once again kris the 4 * star Hotel was amazing loved every minute of it can't wait to go back I need some sun I mustn't forget the Driver's that picked us up from the hotel each time to take us to sofia implants they did an amazing job from the hotel to the Airport thankyou all to the staff take care see you in June 2024 .

I am terrified of dentists and the prospect of 6 crowns was daunting. I won't say that I didn't find the experience traumatic, especially the root canal treatments, however it was painless and the doctors did their best to keep me calm. My temporary crowns are great and I hope to return in a couple of months for my permanent ones. Sofia is also a nice city to explore.

I choose a plan which has been respected in term of delay and surgeries with such good doctors.

Well after all the long preparation everything worked out in just 2 days.
The service and the friendly crew was great and they did very well.
If there is some other tooth problem coming up I will consult Sofia implant center again.

Staff were extremely caring and very nice. I was surprised also that there was no pain. Would definitely recommend this clinic.

Researched before I travelled but always apprehensive. Found out they were extremely professional, everything worked out brilliantly. I started to wonder if I was doing the right thing and there was no pressure either way. Easy to get to clinic and very please with results.

Implant setting up and caries treating

The clinic itself was top notch!! Absolutely impeccable throughout.. all the staff were knowledgeable helpful and courteous. I’m really pleased with my procedure all went smoothly.

My teeth were very bad. I had severe gum disease and had lost more than half of my real teeth. I had gaps everywhere and what was left was loose, ugly and I was struggling to eat. So I wanted for a Full Mouth Restoration. That involved 15 extractions. 4 implants in the top jaw and 6 implants in the lower jaw. Have to say that it was one of the most traumatic things I've ever had to go thru. But I could not imagine it being better managed and executed anywhere else in the world. I'm from the UK and dentists here wanted £30k+ to perform this procedure. These guys did it for less than a third of that. From initial contact, to booking accommodation, to them transporting me to and from the clinic and hotel they we're excellent to deal with. Easy to communicate with and very accommodating. They were quite realistic in their consultation about the severity of what I was trying to do and gave me no false impressions that it would be easy or that there was no risks. I appreciated their honesty and chose to move forward. The surgery itself was gruelling but the two doctors who worked on me were exceptional. And reassuring. They managed my anxiety about the procedure perfectly. Everyone from the reception staff, to the owners, to the clinicians and doctors were lovely to deal with. There were some complications with my gums healing preventing them from making good impressions to make my temporary bridges which meant I had to extend my trip into a 2nd week. But this was no hardship and was done only in my best interests. The end results I must say could not have been better. The temporary bridges they have fitted look phenomenal. I have to wear these for 6 months while everything heals and settles down and then go back to have my permanent bridges fitted. I'm now about 4 months on from having the procedure done and I simply could not be happier. The pain was completely gone after about 1 month and everything feels comfortable and natural. I've had some minor speech issues to deal with but this is no big deal. But best of all, I can smile again. My confidence has never been better. The difference it makes flashing a nice smile to people is noticeably different. And I can eat properly again. And this has had a notably positive impact on my health overall. I won't lie, the procedure was a horrendous experience, but Sofia Implant Centre could not have done a better job. It was so worth it. I would have absolutely no issue recommending these guys to anyone, and already have numerous times when people asked my about my teeth. And I'm looking forward to going in a couple of months to get my permanent bridges fitted.

Extremly kind people, from driver, desk staff to doctors.

I hope now that I will be contacted for the last step of the treatment, in order to book soon enough flights and hotel .

Exceptional service. Throughout the treatment process, there was a clear plan and information. Excellent throughout the whole process. from the initial consultation to the dental work and beyond, Having had implant and bridge fitted I would highly recommend Sofia Implant Centre and Dr Kliment.
