Avoid like the plague.
My goodness what an exhausting experience.
I ordered some syrup and a pump for my partner’s birthday two weeks in advance. Needless to say, it didn’t arrive by then.
The order was shown in processing for a full month, during which time they
1) did not respond to my emails inquiring about the status
2) did not answer phone calls during their business hours or respond to messages left on their voice mail
3) the only way to get in touch with them was a live chat feature that is open random hours during the day — I’m assuming it’s the same as their phone hours, 9-3 Tuesday through Thursday, and even then, you’re lucky if someone responds, and if you work during the day, you’re screwed
My partners gift finally arrived a full month later (aka, missing her birthday by a few weeks) after 2 or 3 interactions with the live chat rep who was helpful, but it required me demanding the status of my order.
Lo and behold, the pump was missing, and the first offer to make up for it was complimentary shipping on my next order.
If you can’t respond to emails, don’t answer phone calls, don’t monitor your chat outside of Tuesdays through Thursdays in the afternoon, am I really, truly going to place another order?
All of this could have been avoided with the tiniest morsel of communication - “hey, your order is delayed due to X”, things happen, I totally get it! — but instead, they’re just creating these frustrating experiences by making it so incredibly hard to get any info as to what is going on.
Don’t waste your money or your time here. I hate writing bad reviews. I really do. But the fact that SodaSyrup.ca are responding with excuses after excuses (to someone in literally the same situation as mine!!) rather than solutions to the problems they are experiencing are indicative that they do not take customer experience seriously.
Vote with your wallet and go elsewhere if you value your time and energy.
