Amazing First Ski Lesson with Suzanne!
I recently had my very first ski lesson with Suzanne, and I can’t recommend her enough! Me and my friend Scott booked a lesson as total beginners. From the moment we started, Suzanne made me feel comfortable and confident, even though I was a complete beginner. Her teaching style is patient, clear, and encouraging, which made the entire experience both fun and educational.
Suzanne broke everything down into simple steps, from understanding the equipment to practicing the basic techniques. She was so attentive, always offering helpful feedback and cheering me on as I made progress. I never felt rushed or overwhelmed, and by the end of the lesson, I was amazed at how much I had learned! I'm so glad I went for a private lesson over a group lesson.
What truly sets Suzanne apart is her positive energy and passion for skiing—it’s contagious! Whether you're new to skiing or just looking to improve, Suzanne is the perfect instructor. I can’t wait for my next lesson with her. I booked another lesson immediately after the session for the following Monday - hopefully with Suzanne!
Thank you, Suzanne, for such a memorable experience on the slopes!
Full day Beginner Snowboarding Course with Kevin
I recently took part in a full-day beginner’s snowboarding course at Snozone Castleford, and overall, it was a great experience . Kevin, our instructor, was patient and explained things clearly. He was able to guide me from having no experience on a snowboard to successfully making turns and going down the main slope by the end of the day.
The facilities at the centre were good, with everything clean and well-maintained. The slope was in good condition, and I felt safe throughout the session.
I’d recommend this course to anyone looking to get started with snowboarding. Kevin’s teaching was helpful, and the centre had everything you need for a solid introduction to the sport.
Thanks Kevin!
Coach Appreciation Review!
Coach Appreciation Review!
Had Trinity for a private snowboard lesson and she was absolutely amazing! Went through the basics which she supported me with, and picked up really easily. She completed me for level 1&2 and recommend me to go for level 3&4 on my next trip. Would definitely recommend Trinity if you want a great one to one personable experience or some honest feedback!
Thanks Trin!
My son has ASD
My son has ASD, ADHD, and Sensory processing disorder.
He has one to ones lessons. The coaches differ but we have Ed for our last few lessons and he exceptional. He has also advised me of discounts and how to maximise value for money. The staff on reception lack this knowledge but Ed seems to know all this. My son is super happy and confident skiing with Ed.
To improve snozone need to train their staff with the things available to families with children with disabilities.
Not good
Took the family to Snow dome on 24 November. Check in was quick and changing rooms etc were pretty good. Took a long time to get skis and boots. Condition of the run was extremely poor. Lots of ice patches, lift queues were long ( we spent a good portion of our hour waiting for a lift), track on button lift very worn and many stoppages due to people falling off. All together not a good experience.
Ed and Alan - exceptional coaches!
I had an excellent experience at Yorkshire Snozone thanks to Alan and Ed. They were exceptional coaches, demonstrating effective communication and a patient teaching style. I learnt so much during the half-day lesson and the 1-1 session. There was a minor issue with the beginners’ day course, but Katy, the manager, handled it brilliantly—she resolved the situation promptly and professionally. Overall, the service and coaching were outstanding. Highly recommended!

Jago & Dom at Milton Keynes were fantastic teachers. 3 of us booked on the beginners course and having never skied before it's was a great way to learn. The course is set out great and didn't find it boring at all when going through the basics. Big thanks to Jago and Dom, as my partner couldn't quite master turning, but they persisted and ensured that she managed to learn by the end of the session. Will definitely be back soon to do the next course.

Had my snowboard 3-4 level at MK with Tony.
He is an amazing instructor, very calm and helpful.
Worth the money spent
A disorganised mess -MK
We originally booked for a group beginners lesson and due to unforeseen traffic circumstances we arrived late for this session. The staff at the time were very helpful and had informed us that they would book us on to a future date. We decided whilst at the snowdome that we would pay extra for a 121 lesson.
Upon arriving home we realised due to work commitments we could not attend on the new date booked. We called Snozone multiple times as the phone never seems to be answered and we kept getting referred through to the Yorkshire site. After finally getting through we requested a new booking of 11th Nov. This then incurred extra cost as it was within the peak season. The payment was taken from my husbands account and they verbally confirmed that we were booked on to the course.
2 weeks before we are due to attend the beginners course I called to confirm the time of the course. The staff member that answered (after attempting 3 times to call) said that they did not have us booked on on the 11th and could not see that any additional payment had been made. From here we then emailed proof of transaction and had to chase for a response. A week later we had a voicemail an email and multiple calls confirming the 11th Nov. Roll forwards to the 7th Nov and we have now had a call to say that there is a booking error and we are not on the course and need to find an alternative date....
This is frustrating on many levels as we are both working professionals and need to arrange holiday cover and childcare cover. I am absolutely appalled at the level of organisation and quality of communication from this company. We will not be recommending the facility to anyone for future use.
Appalling communication, dreadful response
I phoned on Monday 21/10 to get information on your ski camp that my children are booked in for. The gentleman on the phone took my email adress and said he would putdown all the information i requested. It is now Thursday and nothing has come through, and before you say to yourself @check your spam box@ i have every day expecting it to arrive. so this evening I phoned to get some idea of what my kids will be doing and what ect. and no body has picked up. Answer the phone!!!!!! 25mins and counting. send me the details please so I can get them there on time and know what time to pickup.
great time and affordable
I had a very good time out here
it was quiet, snow was better than expected as per previous reviews a few people wrote that the snow is sticky which I don`t think was the case, I`m not a beginner and skied a lot in the alps but still enjoyed it very much.
I didn't take the lessons but from what i saw the teachers looked very calm and helpful
OVERALL A GREAT DAY OUT ...
Great Introduction to Skiing
My wife and I, both well into our 60s did a day beginner’s course in preparation for a first-ever skiing holiday in January.
Our instructor, Claire, initially helped by Brian, managed to coax, encourage and sometimes steer us through the day to the point where we are both happy that we will be able to look forward to our holiday without the trepidation that we will be completely useless. In addition our son made great progress, and was delighted with the experience.
Tony’s your man
Yesterday, I completed an all-day beginner’s course for snowboarding, and absolutely loved it. Tony was a very lively instructor with lots of wisdom to share. When you struggled with something, he was quick to correct you and make sure that you understood it. Thank you!

Love coming to the sonzone every weekend with my kids where they do ski while i do a hour snowboarding session.
Its a great place to learn how to ski and snowboard with so many instructors however it is rare to have the same instructor outside of ski academy.
The snow could be better and the slop could be longer however given its fully artificial its a great place to go out of ski season.
The kitchen is also great especially their breakfast, Kim was really making sure everyone was enjoying there food and good job to the chiefs.
One big negative is if you have children around the age of 3 and 4 they do not have ski boots for them and you will need to bring your own.
Full Day Course at Snozone, Yorkshire
Chris, our trainer was incredible. Full of knowledge and couldn't help enough. The venue is spotless, Alpine Kitchen was great too! Couldn't be more pleased.
The female snowboard manager on Friday…
The female snowboard manager on Friday evening was completely unprofessional. I had left my ski poles up the top of the slope and only realised after getting changed. I asked a member of staff if someone could retrieve it. They contacted the female manager who was a snowboarder and asked if I could wait 10 minutes as she wanted to do a video shoot on some of the jumps??? This is completly unprofessional to ask a customer to wait for something which is obviously for their self interest. I saw her come down multiple times without my poles as she was more interested in doing a photo shoot than getting my poles. I must of been waiting 20 minutes in a pair of shorts in the cold, while she continued to go up and down without even thinking about brining my poles and had multiple opportunities to bring them down. As a staff member you are there to help the customer not to ask them to wait for you to finish a irrelevant photo shoot. To make matters worse she didn't even get me my poles! Another staff member got fed up of her and felt bad for myself and went and retrieved them herself. I'm not sure if she knows that she is not being paid to snowboard and shoot videos but to help customers and ensure the safety of the skiers and snowboarders.
To make matters worse than they already were when I got home I realised I must of forgotten to pack my helmet. I rang up snozone on Monday to ask about lost property but nothing was handed in. I asked if they could review cctv and they told me no? Why not? You have cameras, why can't you see where my helmet went? Otherwise you are just allowing theft on your property and this will be reported to the police.
Carolyn was a fantastic teacher
Carolyn was a fantastic teacher! The level 1 group is great for beginners. We had absolutely no experience but by the end of the course we gained more confidence and was able to control our speed down the slope. We will definitely return for a level 2 and 3.
AWESOME Day with Paige!
AWESOME! Me and my buddies took the day course with Paige and having never snowboarded for, we now have the bug! And will certainly be back for more awesome lessons, tips and jokes with the awesome Paige!
Paige was incredibly patient and appreciative of our current level and allowed time to go over the basics in a clear and breezy manner. Giving us helpful instructions with rad demonstrations, Paige really took our course to the next level and pushed us to achieve a 5 in our booklets!
Thanks Paige for being awesome and being an incredible representative of Snozone!
We had the beginners lesson at Snozone…
We had the beginners lesson at Snozone Milton Keynes. I have never skied and I'm 52, but my son was having his first lesson so l decided to do the same with a friend. I lacked confidence and struggled to come down straight and Jack our instructor was so brilliant that by the end of the three hours I had no problem with this and managed the whole run several times. Jack knew exactly when to support and when to leave me to it and I left with a huge sense of achievement, doing something way out of my comfort zone and survived and enjoyed it t! Jack was fantastic 😊 My son was also with Reuben and another instructor who was also great and by the end he was turning and jumping like he'd been doing this all his life ❤️
