I outlined a problem that I had with a second Smeg kettle that was out of warranty, the first having been replaced under warranty. Stephanie took my call and was very helpful. Between Stephanie and her colleague Joanna they organised a replacement kettle at a heavily discounted price and I was delighted with the service I received. It was a pleasure to deal with these two ladies who were both very pleasant and efficient to deal with.

We bought an induction oven before Xmas and it worked for a brief time then 2 of the hobs sprang an error.
It's been 6 weeks to sort out the repair and we have not heard a thing.
Absolutely shocking customer service.
Smeg! I'm a field service engineer in commercial laundry so I know exactly how long a repair should take so the excuses we have received are laughable.
This review will not be taken down until you have contacted us regarding your ridiculous repair service it's laughable.

I raised an issue with the paint bubbling on my kettle.
With minutes of raising this matter online, I received an email to say that my item was in warranty and that arrangements were being made to send me a replacement.
I had regular updates from the courier who took the faulty item away and handed me a new kettle.
I must say that this is the best customer service from a retailer that I have received in many years.
Well done SMEG.

Contacted Smeg via email with regards to an item , I bought a few years ago. I noticed some flaking in the pan. I checked and I thought the warranty might cover it and so contacted smeg about it. Stephanie at Smeg was very helpful and in regular contact with me until they replaced the frying pan. Stephanie at Smeg handled it really well and would recommend Smeg as companies and customer service like this is hard to find.

*Update* Extremely Disappointing Customer Service – Still No Resolution
I’m updating my review because, despite my previous complaint, nothing has been resolved.
SMEG responded quickly to my initial one-star review, but when it comes to actually dealing with customer issues, the experience has been completely different. I have had to chase repeatedly via email, often receiving no response at all.
It has now been nearly a month regarding a refund for a £100 item. SMEG confirmed that they accepted the chargeback, yet their accounts team has still not processed the refund. This delay is completely unacceptable for such a straightforward issue.
To be clear, I have now had to escalate this through Mastercard and provide evidence myself. Meanwhile, SMEG has continued to ignore my follow-up emails.
Based on my experience, there is a clear disconnect between how quickly they respond to public reviews and how slowly they handle actual customer service and refunds.
I would strongly advise others to think carefully before purchasing.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with SMEG.
I ordered a kettle that I never received. Since realizing the issue, I have called customer service every single day for a week. Each time, no one was able to properly assist me, and no replacement was offered. They told me refund will take one month! I was repeatedly told someone would follow up but that never happened.
It has now been three additional days, and I still have not received a single callback or response to my emails. The complete lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable, especially from a company that presents itself as professional and premium.
For a brand that charges such high prices, I expected far better service. Unfortunately, both the customer support and overall handling of this situation have been incredibly poor.
At this point, I will be opening a dispute with my bank, as I have paid for a product I never received and have been unable to get any meaningful assistance.
I will not be purchasing from this company again.

We’re on our second SMEG kettle where the on/off switch stops working. The kettle was £130 brand new and apparently they don’t have spare parts for this, we just have to write it off. May as well have bought a cheap disposable kettle because paying the premium isn’t worth it. Especially as it’s the same fault on two SMEG kettles in a row. Never SMEG again.

Bulb replacement first year. And two more since by me ,which is extremely difficult, turn table rotates in jurky movements. The door now sometimes won't open !!! So much for quality
