Dissolved company Still scamming almost a year on

This company seems to still be conning people months on despite all of the lies they fed people about Royal Mail strikes. It’s tries the company was dissolved in 2021 with both Sam and Dan being stated as directors. You can report the company to the fca and you can do this online so very little hassle to do it. Lets get these scammers off the internet and prevent any more people being conned out of money.

Outstanding items - not received

Received a partial dispatch on the 30th June 23 for a order placed on the 19th June, and fair enough I did receive an message to apologise for the delay. Since then I have tried to email and contact via their website to find out when the 3 outstanding bottles would be dispatched. I am sorry to say I have had no response at all from them. Since the order was placed the wine is now showing at out of stock, so I don't envisage that I will ever receive it. I have asked for a partial refund on the order - but no response at all. Very disappointed. Unfortunately I did not pay via Paypal so will have to try instigating a charge back claim.

Ordered two wine tasting kits

Ordered two wine tasting kits, one with cheese, one with meat.

Was going on holiday and needed it before I went so checked the website to confirm order processing time and it would work.

Website stated next day delivery, this isn’t the case, it’s 48 hour delivery, but Royal Mail didn’t deliver for 5 days, cheese and meat in the post for 5 days with 30 degree weather. Not something I’m going to eat.

Contacted multiple times via enquiry on the website, email to generic email address and email to Sam. Since 7th July I’ve had no response.

Don’t trust the delivery dates
And don’t ever expect a response if you have a problem. Happy enough to take your money though.

And the audacity to ask for a review which isn’t on trustpilot, clearly they know there is a problem.

Company has dissolved do not send any money

Just an update for everyone - this company was dissolved in 2021 !! so not sure why they are still taking peoples money and people are putting on reviews of orders they have received - must be fake reviews to falsely keep people sending them money !!!
Check Companies House or Gov Website!!

Scammers

Scammers, do not order from this company!
I placed an order on 30 June, have received part of it, yet despite sending 3x emails and messaging on Facebook, I’ve had no acknowledgment or response in respect of the rest of my order - which was meant to be a birthday present! And they had the absolute audacity to charge £6.99 for ‘express delivery’! Don’t touch this company with a barge pole, throw your money down the drain and cut out the middle man!!

Perfect gift for a wine loverAs soon as I saw this

As soon as I saw this, I knew it would be ideal for a friend who had a big birthday coming up. Luckily I decided to buy the voucher as I hadn't realised he and his wife were going away for a week. Anyway - he was absolutely delighted with the gift and is looking forward to trying it at a later date.

Wine Tasting Kit - Excellent Service

Ordered the Father’s Day red wine tasting kit a couple of months ago. I made an error on ordering and was immediately contacted by the company who rectified it for me. The delivery arrived a couple of days before Father’s Day with no problems encountered. My husband loved the kit which also came with Spanish meats and olives.
We had the Christmas issues but it’s unfair to give the company bad reviews as the postal strikes caused the problems. I have ordered previously and since and have always encounters excellent customer service. Excellent experience and will definitely be ordering again!
Ps the wines are delicious too!

Give the start-ups a chance

Ordered vouchers for cheese and wine kits as Christmas gifts. Shortly after I ordered, the company suffered a bit from their own success and struggled to meet demand. However, my vouchers arrived in time and last week we redeemed them and had a fabulous evening tasting wines we’d never otherwise have tried and nibbling yummy cheeses (along with some added meats and olives). Give these start ups a chance. Will be ordering a few bottles from them soon.

I didn’t want to add another terrible…

I didn’t want to add another terrible review however it seems that Smashed Grapes have decided to just ignore all of the customers they took money from pre- Christmas !
I actually wanted to support the company and after being offered a refund I decided that I would wait for the delayed order to arrive in a bid to support a small business. I was then issued a gift voucher which never worked (I would have again spent more with the company). I have now emailed several times since January and none of my emails have ever been responded to.
Such a shame as the premise of the business is great but personally given the customer service issues I would not buy again and would advise everyone to spend their money with a legitimate small business or run the risk of paying for absolutely nothing expect admin and frustration caused by wasted money!

Smashingly Good 👍

I purchased wines from smashed grapes for a wine tasting event that was hosted on you tube some time ago. The wines arrived on time and were lovely . As expected the evening was fun and informative with lots of drunken laughter.
We recently purchased the wines again along with a quiz night that Dan and Sam hosted .
They arrived on time and again did not disappoint.
Very much looking forward to the next event.

DO NOT USE OR TRUST

I placed an order in November last year which like other reviews have stated, nothing arrived.
I ended up being given a voucher to use as the order was cancelled after months of no contact. I have gone to use the voucher and it has expired, once agin, I seem to see this was a common issue.
I have noticed the company using mail strikes as an excuse however every other Christmas gift I ordered managed to arrive with no issues.
I am now shocked to see the company advertising again on social media.
DO NOT TRUST THEM! They are just scamming people out of money!

They just don't care

Ordered a box as a Christmas present. Ordered months before and selected a delivery date of 16th December, only to be told that everything was now sold out and all orders would be cancelled. I was given a refund and given a £30 voucher to use in the new year. I went to use the voucher in February and it's invalid. I've emailed 4 times with no reply. Still have time to send me daily marketing emails though, but no time to reply. Seems to be a common theme on here. Avoid.

Great wine kits, give them a try

I have ordered from these guys three times now and each time the wine tasting kits have arrived on time and in excellent condition.
Two of these were gifts for people and they were delighted with the quality of the wines and the beautiful cheeses.
I will definitely be ordering from you guys again in the near future. Keep up the good work and bringing the quality wines to us all 🍷

Avoid at all cost, you will lose your money

I ordered gifts for Christmas all of which were received after Christmas with several of the wine pouches having burst (order number 14666). In accordance with instructions from your company I requested a refund via email on 3 occasions, all of which were ignored.
You are still advertising and promoting despite your failure to comply with trading standards.
Do not use this company, they are criminals.

SCAMMERS!!!!

Worst company ever. Ordered in Nov cheese wine tasting kit for a 70th birthday present. Numerous emails to the company some replied to with a promise of refund low and behold still waiting.
Was disappointed to go on Facebook and see they are back advertising and promoting without a thought to all the people they scammed before Christmas and for Sam to be replying to bad reviews saying it was due to postal strikes it is now May there has been no correspondence or effort to refund myself and I'm assuming alot more people. Disgraceful!!!!!!

Very happy customer

I was one of the many people that failed to receive an order before Christmas so was really reticent to order again. However, what a difference! My order arrived within a few days, great communication and a fabulous tasting kit. I’m impressed that the company seem to have weathered the storm and will definitely be ordering again.

Honesty is the best policy

I’d just like some clarity on the smashed grapes wine business and what’s happening? I’m still receiving promotional emails and the website is advertising numerous things so I’m presuming people are still paying for goods. Will they get them? Rather than ignore the countless emails that myself and many others have sent, ignore the 1* trust pilot reviews where you’re known as scammers and before things are taken any further. Please could you address this awful situation? There’s so many customers out of pocket. My parcel was labelled wrongly and it would have arrived on time so I actually don’t believe you are scammers … I think the demand became too high and you just couldn’t meet the customers needs. Great wine, great company

A great company that values its customers and provides good service. I started off with Smashed Grapes after receiving a tasting kit. Since then I ordered a tasting kit and then a box of wine. They provide a good selection of wines at a good price and without any of the wine buff nonsense to cut through. Orders are dealt with efficiently (including letting you know if they will be despatched before or after irregular calendar dates like bank holidays), shipping is efficient and handled professionally making sure you get your wine safely and in good time.

Thoroughly recommended!
