Hearing aids refund promise not real

These ‘Hearing aids’ are merely amplifiers and impossibly loud and crackly. Having persisted with them for a few weeks, my ears did not ‘adjust’ as the company said would happen. I applied for refund and met all their criteria for the aids just not improving my hearing when used but still they wriggled out of a full refund. After 6 weeks of haggling I’ve finally received half my money back. This company absolutely never fulfils their promise of a full refund if not satisfied. Avoid.

This company is only interested in your money …

This company is only interested in scamming you out of your money. They seemed very understanding and helpful with their emails and even gave me a longer deadline but it was all done to wriggle out of their free returns policy.
I asked at 29 days to return them but they persuaded me to keep them a little longer and then when I tried to return them a little later they wouldn't give me a full refund. This company are unprofessional and not interested in their customers, only their money. They should be ashamed of themselves. Look at the reviews here, we can't all be wrong !!

Don't Buy!!!

Similar experience to the other reviews. Unfortunately I bought 2 pairs one for myself and one for my partner. I soon realised that they were nowhere near as good as my free NHS ones!
I asked for a return for 1 pair. After a multitude of questions/ emails I finally received a refund of about £50 .
My partner also finds they are noisy and tinny but uses them on occasion as they are discreet compared to NHS type.
Waste of money. Don't buy!!!

Terrible product. Terrible after Sales

In common with other reviews on here, the actual hearing amplifiers (they aren’t hearing aids) are nowhere near as advertised.

Upon trying to return them, I too was asked long, lengthy questions, the written answers to which they requested several clarification messages, particularly about the wearing experience.

They sound terrible and are uncomfortable.

I was eventually offered a£40 refund. After rejecting this and a multitude of excuses from Smart Hearing, the offer was increased to £60. This too was rejected, whereupon they came back with a £70 offer. This too was rejected, and eventually they came back with what they said was their maximum, £97.50.

As I was tired of the whole business I accepted, but had to return them by Registered, signed for post at about £10.90.

They did refund £10 of the cost of the postage and the £97.50 quickly, but they’ve only got one start because I can’t leave no stars.

Avoid these and any similar company. They all seem to be the same company under a different name.

45 day Risk Free trial & warrantry

45 day Risk Free trial & warrantry - Smarthearing advert.
You will have a better chance to win the Lottery than to get a full refund from this company,.
I am another victim - refer to the previous reviews on Trustpilot - Caveat emptor (let the buyer be beware).

I will keep issuing this until I get my refund that I've requested several times as they didn't work nor were they the size or shape sshown in advertisements.

I believe this no more than a complete scam. I would not trust this "company" in any way, shape or form.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Please dont touch this scamming company with a bargepole!

My 84 year old father paid £149 for these aids for my 89 year old mother who has terminal cancer!

From the second they were turned on, they screamed and nothing but switching them off would stop it.

Smart Hearing first offered a £45 refund which was refused, so they offered £75!

This ruthless company have stolen £75 from a dying woman!

Please avoid at all costs!

Be very aware

Only 1 star as I have to give something
Total waste of £149.99, forget getting your money back. £149.99 I’m retired and out of pocket now.
I wanted to return the aids after 2 days as they made my hearing worse, just like someone had 2 fingers in my ears, uncomfortable max wear time 12 minutes. Complained then spent next 2 weeks being told try this try that, they don’t accept a customers problems.
I have now spent since July 10th trying to get my money back, 19 emails and still no refund. I sent them back tracked delivery to the address they gave me, all they say is they have not received them, legal route is the next path. Just anyone considering beware I will never buy without a proper appointment again. And forget the 45 day try policy you still won’t get anywhere

Don’t waste your money

They might be okay for you but, if you decide they’re not your stuck.
They won’t accept a return so, the “trial” is not worth the paper it’s written on.
To meet the policy criteria you must wear the aids all day for 6 weeks despite them being unbearable. There are so many caviates, it’s really never going to happen.
Scam through and through.

Refunds not given!

I ordered the "Hearing Aids" but on receipt the silicon buds supplied where too big. I worked to find some smaller ones online (which they promised to reimburse), when I found some they were too small to fit the "aids". I worked with them for ages but because I said that apart from the important ear piece they seemed ok, in the end they said because the things worked they wouldn't refund me. I ended up with £85 I had spent trying to find some buds + small compensation. Never again & I wouldn't recomend them at all. It took a long time to even get a small refund & that was partly my postage costs.

Rubbish

When my husband 1st had them end of may they were satisfactory 3wks later they stopped working.
I was told it was a hardware problem, to send a photograph of them(which I did) then they would give me a return address and forward another set.
Multiple emails later which are never replied to I find myself completely ghosted
To say I am disgusted is an understatement

When I first came across Smart Hearing…

When I first came across Smart Hearing a few weeks ago I read through the details on the website and I thought "Hmmm - too good to be true" and decided to find out a bit more. I searched online but could find no negative comments. I even contacted Which? to ask if they had any details but they had never heard of Smart Hearing until I mentioned it to them. After two weeks and further searches, and because the Smart Hearing details did sound honest and truthful I decided to buy some hearing aids. I have not yet used them in all situations but found them to be very good around the house - but I do need to occasionally remind my wife not to shout!.
I have been so impressed with the hearing aids that I ordered a second set of hearing aids for my mother-in-law who is in her 90's
