Bought for the F1 season.. going back to Ch4 highlights

Bought for the F1 season primarily and added netflix. 2 hours in and I hate it! The menus are awful, channel lists require you to remember what you're subscribed to and just about every click results in a Do you want to upgrade message. Couple that with at least 3 crashes and restarts in the first hour and I'm done. In total that's 2 hours of my life wasted. Frustrating junk

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I signed up to Sky Stream online as they were including Netflix and Disney+ and I found a good deal. All good so far, and I received the 'puck' the next morning which was amazingly quick. I set it up and everything was working wonderfully well, it was responsive, the UI looked good and I was happy.

Then I received an email from Sky a mere TWO HOURS after I received the puck telling me my subscription price was increasing by £3 a month. Hang on, I JUST signed a contract for the price advertised so how can the price be going up already?

I phoned Sky and they said the price is going up for everyone, I pointed out if there were imminent price increases then they should have factored this into the advertised price. Not hooked me in and then the very next day told me the price was increasing! They could not care less. The attitude of the Sky employees was shocking. Truly terrible.

Luckily I had a 31 day cooling off period so I told Sky I wanted to cancel. I had not even watched a single programme!! So I unplugged the whole thing, repackaged it up and am waiting for their returns envelope so I can put this whole scam behind me!

Avoid Sky Stream at all costs, the price advertised is likely nothing like the amount you will actually pay.

Same problems as everyone else

Same problems as everyone else, despite a good broadband connection. Playlist feature rarely works and puck keeps crashing. The frustrating thing is that Sky don’t seem to want to acknowledge that the user experience is nowhere near what it should be.

Terrible experience

Bought the sky stream package over a year ago with the sky puck and broadband. After trying a second puck the streaming service is still very poor. Even with an ethernet connection it's drops daily with grey screen and freezing. Delivery driver who replaced the puck advised that he is doing around 12 replacements daily. Customer service isn't great. The online chat is useless and will just get you going round in circles. Thankfully after emailing the top brass I got a call from the executive complaints team who were fantastic and allowed early termination with no fees.

Terrible product not market ready

Terrible product not market ready. Constant grey screens (and yes, I have a superlative WiFi), absolutely awful "recording" function which is just a pointer to (when you come to view it) out of date content and, thus, cannot view. AS for the live pause, well, that's a total joke mostly.

If you can, avoid.

This is without a doubt the worst…

This is without a doubt the worst device in my home, constant crashing, freezing, no sound, no picture even the remote is clunky. This is running on a 1000mps connection so it’s purely the stream software/hardware, never have I seen such a poorly made device, changing to Virgin tv at least it works, good riddance stream

Worst streaming product on the planet

Wow, after a decade Sky are still unable to develop a product that provides a stable and consistent performance, how are they still in business?

I used to have the original sky box via satellite with the wireless streaming capability. This box, performed well when you wanted to watch live to via cable satellite. However, if you wanted to connect it to Wi-Fi and stream over the internet it was downright useless. Constantly buffering or reporting a technical fault or losing connectivity to Wi-Fi despite being only cm’s from an access point. I have been in and out of contracts with sky over the years hoping their products would get better, unfortunately this is not the case. I have their latest stream puck which sits in a room alongside Apple TV, Xbox, ps5 a smart tv and a Wi-Fi connected AVR. Every single product apart from the sky can maintain a stable Wi-Fi connection and stream consistently over my 900mb internet connection, no buffering, no connection issues. Sky is the only product that has consistently struggled for 10 years. I work in IT so I don’t want to hear about interference or other mitigating circumstances. Sky your products are absolute crap it’s about time you sorted this out!

UHD Football then dont bother

Trying to watch football on UHD is impossible the quality is that bad. And people pay extra for UHD .Sky will blame it on everything to make it out it is your fault to slow internet and not using an ethernet cable.Well sky look what you named it its not called stream for nothing.
About time you took responsibility and sorted it out .
Hundreds of complaints going back a long time and still nothing done to sort out the problem.
A bit of advice if you want to watch football in UHD find yourself a different provider

Sky can't fix our paramount +

You phone sky as paramount + has stopped working
And its coming up in German You get passed from
Pillar to post as no on knows why the one woman
In the Indian call center told us that she could remove
The film channels then reinstall them but it would
Be a new contract we agreed and she couldn't do
A thing as it still wouldn't work so she transferred up
To the third representative that also couldn't make
It work and told us to contact paramount even
Tho our contract is with sky so over a hr and a half
Of my time wasted and a even longer contract.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

If I could give no stars I would.
Only been 2 months and already wishing I’d stayed with Virgin Media.
At least 4 times a day the broadband connection will switch off and reset itself.
Now on the remote if I press a directional button or number button to change channel it goes on to standby.
The quicker I get out of this contract the better.

Absolutely useless had to drop yo 720…

Absolutely useless had to drop yo 720 from 4k as advertised, paid for 4k and what do you get an in viewable set of stop starts every 19 seconds. I’ve got 6 additional boosters and yet total rubbish. In addition my SKY broadband drops to a mere 10 mb speed although paying for 150mb Fttp. How on earth is anyone with SKY supposed to be satisfied with this and still charge me £116 / month. Absolute robber and useless service. Be aware of this lot. Just been to a third world country and the service was superb, common we are supposed to be in a first world country??????????????????

Waste of money

Where to start,

The volume from this little black box is ridiculous, I have to adjust the volume on telly to double what it usually is to be able to hear it.

Picture quality, is abysmal, if I watch netflix I won't watch it through this but use the app on the telly to get a better picture.

Apps and catch up keep freezing and saying there a technical problem.

And lastly even though I haven't set up any parental service, this thing wants a pin number to watch pretty much anything and will ask for it again after any adverts, in summery about sky, I can't wait for the contract to end so I can cancel it.

SKY TV Stream Hardware is PANTS!

Wanted to give no stars but cant...new to sky streaming (2 months now) Its absolute pants and AVOID at all costs. Puck unit doesnt work. Had 2 sent out now. Both rubbish. Constant freezing. Sound going off. Grey screen. Sick of re-booting to get it to work. Sick of missing end toa show, movie or sport as it freezes...sound goes off and spend 10 mins rebooting. By then you've missed the key part of what you were watching. Catch-up app and software on puck just doesnt work. Trying to find an episode of something you've missed is so complex, you just give up. Wished Id never signed up and stayed with Virgin. So fed up going to pay extra to get out and away from this RUBBISH service and faulty hardware that just doesnt work!

Avoid Sky Puck!!!

Just helped my parents get their new Sky Puck up and running. Unfortunately, the whole thing has been a waste of time.

Constant freezing, audio issues, black screens all make attempting to watch most anything a frustrating experience. Also the 'playlists' option instead of 'recordings' as it was on sky Q is literally unfunctioning. Open the playlists, click on one, screen goes black, then reverts back to menu. Also, the rep that sold them on it said all their previous recordings with Q would still be on it, they are not.

Unfortunately i think the guy has totally over sold and misled them on it by straight up lying, apparrantly its supposed to be better and easier than Sky Q. Thanks Sky for screwing up something as simple television!

Will not be touching sky in the future with the longest of barge poles! Robbing gits.

Playlist programs keep losing sound

Had sky streaming for one month now. Live TV is fine but channel change is slow. The worst part is the playlists.
When I’m watching a programme on the playlist the sound cuts out then eventually the picture as well.
I then need to go to settings and do a reset wait for that to finish then go back to my program it’s works well. The only problem is I need to do this about every 20 minutes. Very annoying when watching a one hour program.
Very disappointing system.

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish! Called Sky to get the formula one book of excuses which basically means it’s our fault it doesn’t work. The system freezes and jumps and even changed channel of its own accord.
Don’t bother, and I like many others will be getting rid. Best part is, Sky couldn’t care less, what a circus to actually get to speak with someone.
