Product is okay, but they follow a lot of other softwares. Experienced some crashes half the time. I also forgot I had a subscription and they don't do refunds if it renews. So beware of the subscription trap. You but thinking it's good, find something better, then get charged again. They love to hide behind their "policy" rather than customer service. Again, product isn't bad. Has issues, but there are other programs that workflow is so much easier.

I was having trouble opening or even finding Luminar Neo after an update. I even went to the programs file and it while it was there, it would not respond.
The support I got was fabulous. I was a little nervous uninstalling a graphic's card being a 76 year old lady. However, the detailed instructions and the link to a video were perfect. Thank you! All is in working order now and I'm back to playing with my photos!

I'm a new user; just learning to use Neo.
I've volunteered for several years doing photo restoration for a local historical association. Many of the restorations have been of very old photographs; badly stained by molds, cracked, torn, folded, faded, blurry, etc. and I've spent hours fixing the problems with Photoshop.
Neo has changed all that! Select the Restoration function, drag the file into it and press the Restore button. In a few seconds you'll have a fixed photo.
For me, the Restoration function alone, the simplicity of it's use and the spectacular results are worth the price of Neo.

I installed Luminar Neo through my subscription to Setapp, as I was looking for a simple yet flexible alternative to a photo editing app I've been using. Neo fit the bill perfectly. I had some questions about some of the features that I was unable to find the answer to on my own. Tetiana in the customer support area answered my numerous questions quickly, VERY professionally, and an absolute joy to communicate with. Very friendly. That kind of service seems to be kind of rare sometimes. Being a retired person and strictly a hobbyist photographer, I have to watch my resources but will be subscribing to Neo and the X Membership as soon as my other subscription expires.

Very Dissatisfied with Skylum Customer Support! I have sent proof in form of a screen shot showing I had no renewal reminder sent, customer services keep sending their screenshots saying supposedly reminders were sent, although screen shot doesn't even show what email address this was sent to.
Checked one year prior also and again no reminder has been sent but they keep coming back with same screenshot of theirs. The response to my screenshot showing ALL EMAILS from Luminar Neo and dates that shows no date of a reminder sent, I have been told to check SPAM while I questioned why would a regular ad from Luminar Neo appear in main inbox as trusted sender, but important reminder of the subscription renewal go to spam! and yet the email with subscription confirmation somehow goes to inbox as normal, not to spam! Things aren't adding up here Skylum! Also noticed the supposedly sent reminders were sent at very strange hours, like 3AM while all other ones were sent in the normal working hoirs.
I was considering returning to Luminar Neo for it's program but after this I will stay far away for it's baity like tactics!

I’d been using Luminar on an iPad and have just started using it on my MacBook. What an amazing program, I’d recommend it to anyone.
I purchased the X membership but for some reason it wasn’t showing on my account, so I contacted support and they quickly resolved the problem.

My experience was great. I somehow managed to mess up my order, and their customer service representative worked with me, offering a few different options. I chose the one that suited me best. It turned out to be a simple fix after all, and I am very appreciative.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT, RUN!!!!
Incredibly disappointing experience with Skylum's customer service. I was charged for a renewal on accident (they got me), within hours of it being charged I noticed it, contacted them alerting them it was in error and I did not wish to renew, and they are refusing to refund the unauthorized, mistaken charge for a full year renewal. They keep sending screenshots of their policies, and refuse to work with me. Any other company I've worked with will refund mistaken renewal charges, this is absolutely UNETHICAL and I am pursuing contesting the charge. I'll go to every possible platform and post negative reviews, this is a large charge and absolutely no reason for them to not reverse a 3-hour old mistaken charge I NEVER WANTED TO MAKE.
Skylum, I'm going to keep going with this until you reverse this or fix it.

Skylum, unacceptable answer. I was not notified a day in advance. I caught it within literal hours while in pending status. A company who provides good customer service will still refund mistaken charges, especially when the box is pre-checked to auto-renew by you. I don't want your product. I may have been open to trying your products in the future, but after this abysmal policy rule that serves only you, not your customers, I will actively dissuade fellow photographers and graphic designers to never use your platform. Terrible, shame on you. I am a single mom w 2 kids, I can't afford to blow $75 on something I'm not using and didn't order. You are taking literal food out of my kids mouths.
I will still consider removing all my negative reviews if I am refunded. Otherwise, this remains into perpetuity.

Buyer beware. My experience with Luminar Neo felt like a classic bait-and-switch.
I purchased what was marketed as a lifetime license, expecting the features I had been using to remain part of the product. After updates and changes to their licensing model, several tools I relied on were no longer included unless I paid additional fees or subscribed again.
Support’s response was that those tools were part of a separate subscription system and not included in the lifetime license. That distinction was not clearly communicated when I made the purchase, and now the only way to regain those capabilities is through additional payments.
They also confirmed that certain features, such as Export to Phone, were removed entirely in later updates.
In my opinion, the licensing structure is confusing and appears designed to push users toward ongoing subscriptions even after paying for a “lifetime” product. I would not recommend this company if you are looking for a straightforward one-time purchase.

I give it 4 stars because nothing is perfect and there is always room for improvement. Luminar Neo is close to perfection 😊 What I like most about the software is mainly two things, no subscription and no additional software needs to be installed with lot of extra services running in the background slowing your computer down.

Initial download failed to work to my iMac which was frustrating but quickly established contact with human support at Skylum who emailed a new installer which worked fine. Good customer service and support
