Scam

I got a pair of slides for Christmas and they were the wrong size and they failed to exchange them saying they had been worn. They still have the sticker on the botttom and there is no way I could wear them. They are huge. It isn’t like I wanted a refund. I wanted to exchange for the proper size. Thus company is a scam with very poor customer service or loyalty to their clients. Will not ever buy skylrk again.

Extremely Unprofessional - A JOKE!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Skylark. Not only was there an issue with the system incorrectly flagging my legitimate payment method, but I was also accused of fraud by an employee, Spencer—a completely unacceptable and offensive accusation considering my name and card matched perfectly.

What’s worse is the dismissive and curt response when I raised the issue and requested a cancellation. Rather than address my concerns professionally, Spencer was rude and only addressed my cancellation, showing no accountability on your company’s part.

Hotel partners please beware as you can lose customers relying on a company that behaves in such a manner.

I ended up booking directly with the hotel—without a single issue. That alone speaks volumes. For a business that claims to specialise in luxury travel, the treatment I received was anything but.

I’ve stayed at many luxury properties, often spending well over £500 per night. The service, in comparison, felt patronising and unrefined—as if they were doing me a favour. It was laughable, if not for the sheer unprofessionalism and the fact that it concerned my money.

Let me be clear: no amount of slick branding can cover up poor customer service and questionable internal systems. What makes a company successful in the long term is service. If this is how you treat customers, I’d rethink the business model—because from the outside, it’s beginning to resemble a Ponzi scheme.

Sort it out.

Great waiter

Although it was a bit chilly there were blankets. The dj played some classics and the waiter was charismatic and friendly. Will definitely return!

Good travel company

Good travel company - used them to book a couple hotels throughout the US and got some strong virutoso type benefits. Agents there if anything goes wrong.

Beware of inaccurate room descriptions

Beware of inaccurate room descriptions. Booked a room that supposedly had 2 queen beds and floor-to-ceiling windows. Get to the hotel and the room had 2 double beds and no floor to ceiling windows. Skylark essentially induced me to book a room that doesn't exist.

Skylark Doesn't Stand Behind Their Recommendations

I rarely write reviews, but in this case I feel compelled to do so because I’m incredibly disappointed with Skylark. Skylark mishandled my daughter’s flight, refused to take any responsibility for it, and then ghosted me when I asked about it.

I used Maddie at Skylark in May 2023 for a birthday trip to Tuscany, Italy with my youngest daughter. Skylark charged me a $750 fee to arrange our trip, including booking our airfare. Since my daughter and I live in different states, Skylark booked us on separate flights—me on KLM airlines, and my daughter on British Airways—with both of us flying into and out of Florence. It rains frequently in Florence in May and was raining on the morning of our departure home. Once we arrived at the airport, I checked in for my KLM flight, without issue, then headed over to the British Airways counter to check my daughter in. However, I was advised by a British Airways agent that my daughter’s flight home was canceled due to the rain. I was told that, unlike every other airline, British Airways has a long-standing policy that it will not fly into nor out of the Florence airport if it rains. That’s because the Florence runway is very short, and British Airways’ planes are very large. Remarkably, when they booked my daughter’s flight on British Airways, Skylark never advised me of British Airways’ long standing rain policy in Florence. If Skylark had done so, I never would have booked my daughter on that flight. Instead, I would’ve asked that she be booked on another airline, or that both of us be flown out of another airport, like Pisa, which is much bigger and just an hour away. Skylark never mentioned the risks, nor the alternatives, to me. As a result, I was completely blindsided by British Airways’ rain policy.

The British Airways agent presented me with two options for my daughter. First, my daughter could spend the night in Florence, and come back when it stopped raining. This option was not feasible, however, because it was supposed to rain in Florence the next three days. Second, my daughter could take a shuttle to Pisa and, once in Pisa, she could be rebooked on another flight home. I was told the ticketing agent in Florence could not rebook my daughter himself, and that my daughter would have to wait until she arrived in Pisa to determine how and when she would be getting home. I was told there was no guarantee a flight would be available to my daughter that day or even the next.

As there was absolutely no way I was going to board my flight home without knowing how or when my daughter was getting home, I was forced to purchase a new one-way ticket home for her on another airline at a cost of almost $11,000. I was told it was the last ticket available to get my daughter home out of Florence that day.

After returning home, British Airways refunded a portion of my daughter’s flight, but even so, to this day I’m still out of pocket nearly $6000. Regrettably, Skylark has refused to take any responsibility for this loss even though they recommended the British Airways flight without telling me about the risks, nor advising me of the alternatives.

Skylark has never explained why it did not present all of our flight options or warn us of the particular risks with flying British Airways out of Florence. It has just ignored my inquiries. It’s disappointing to say the least, because with adequate disclosures and planning, my $6000 loss could’ve been avoided.

There are many good travel agencies out there with extensive knowledge and experience in Italy, and that stand behind their recommendations. Skylark is not one of them.

Extremely Disappointed with Skylark: Unreliable Reservation and Poor Communication

Unfortunately, my experience with Skylark was extremely disappointing. Despite making a reservation in advance, the hotel had no record of it upon my arrival. What's worse is that the hotel claimed to be unfamiliar with Skylark as a company and was unreachable for assistance. This lack of professionalism and communication is NOT acceptable. I regret having chosen Skylark and will certainly not be using their services again.

I was hesitant to book through their website after having seen some negative reviews, however the offer was really good so i went ahead. I had to make some special requests to the hotel cus i was traveling with a baby, they were so helpful and always available, super fast with replies. I got all the perks and paid exactly the amount they mentioned in the description. Really recommend!

Avoid Avoid Avoid

Avoid Avoid Avoid. This site will send a quote for a final price claiming it includes all taxes and fees, and then allow the hotel to add additional taxes afterwards. The price they quote is not reliable, and you will have no idea how much the final cost actually is. Book with any other site.

Brilliant company to book through

We booked a 1 night stay at The Merrion Hotel in Dublin Ireland. Our rate included B&B, early check in if available and also upgraded room if available.
Early check in and upgrade where not received (given that is was a very busy weekend in Dublin it was understandable) but we didn't mind as the room type that we booked was beautiful. Skylark was easy to book through and we encountered not a single issue with booking with them. Will definitely use this company again to book accommodation.

Surprisingly Reliable

I had a stay at the Equinox NYC and though I had my reservations on whether their published rate & benefits for booking through them was better than what the hotel itself can provide, the rate turned out to be genuine and was even confirmed & honored by the hotel. Would use them again but would ensure the rate is genuine by calling the reservations department of the hotel to ensure the rate will be honored.

What a scam!

What a scam!
They offer higher rate rooms but the hotels reject their offers and they put you in a simple regular room for the same rate as the high end rooms. The company does not answer their phones and their fake 24 he emergency service is a scam, the system is designed to never accept calls. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!!
