No care for passengers

I am extremely disappointed by the repeated negligence and lack of professionalism demonstrated by your airline, especially on the route between Athens and Syros.

You knowingly booked the flight to full capacity, even though operational constraints such as wind conditions, temperature, aircraft weight, and runway length were clearly going to prevent all baggage from being transported. Competing airlines are aware of these limitations and proactively limit bookings to ensure both passengers and their luggage arrive together. You knew at least a day in advance that there would be a problem—yet failed to inform passengers in Syros beforehand.

As a result, I was unable to retrieve essential personal belongings, including medication I take for a heart condition. Another passenger was visibly distressed because his child’s medication was in a missing bag. Many of today’s medications are prescription-only, which means I now need to locate a doctor, pay additional costs, and lose valuable time to replace what should have arrived with me.

What made matters worse was the 40-minute wait at baggage claim, despite the fact that you already knew the bags were not loaded on the aircraft. There was absolutely no reason to keep us waiting—an announcement would have saved everyone time and frustration.

Sadly, this is not the first time this has happened to me. In fact, it’s occurred twice before. The same has happened to several colleagues of mine, who also travel regularly to Syros for work. Each time, we are left wondering whether the tools we need for our job will make it with us. This is an unacceptable level of service.

To make things even more frustrating, when I contacted your customer service line, I was not allowed to record the call, even though you routinely record us. What exactly are you trying to hide? This double standard is quite telling and further damages your credibility.

All of this leads me to consider your company entirely unreliable. I actively try to avoid flying with you whenever possible, though unfortunately, alternatives for the Athens–Syros route are limited. Still, your behavior suggests you are aware of your inferior service compared to your competitors—and are doing nothing to improve.

I am aware that I am entitled to compensation in order to purchase some basic clothing until my luggage arrives. I have already sent an email to the airline and I am currently awaiting a response — although, to be honest, I am not expecting much.

To any future traveler considering this airline: if you plan to fly with checked baggage—especially to or from a small airport—I strongly recommend choosing a different carrier if at all possible. The likelihood of your luggage arriving with you is questionable at best, and the airline has shown little concern for preventing or properly managing these issues.

Terrible experience with Sky Express — and zero accountability.

My flight on April 5, 2025, was delayed by over 6 hours, with a vague excuse about "bad weather," even though Aegean Airlines operated a similar flight on time from the same airport. I filed a compensation request under EU Regulation 261/2004, which they rejected without evidence.

Worse, they ignored follow-up communications not only from me but also from the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, which is the national enforcement body. This shows a complete lack of respect for passenger rights and EU law.

Avoid this airline if you expect even basic reliability or accountability.
I'll be pursuing legal action next — just to enforce rights that are guaranteed by law.

I would give 0 stars if I could.

I would give 0 stars if I could.
Absolutely pathetic airline.
Lost our bags without informing us.
They were left at Milo’s port where they were getting on a ferry to be taken to Athens airport rather than on the plane with us.
We weren’t told this was happening what so ever.
We missed our flight due to this.
They were hardly helpful. Could barely tell us any information to help.

Mind you it was by far the roughest & sketchiest flight I have been on and I travel a lot.
Please avoid flying with SkyExpress if you can!

Gypsies of the Sky

No gate listed on my boarding pass and when I asked about it they said gate 1, verbally. Flight was an hour late, no notification/announcement nothing. No one at gate, nothing on the monitor. Rude stewardess. No air in the hot cabin for 20+mins. Last time flying this ghetto bird.

Is it possible to give it 0 stars?

Is it possible to give it 0 stars?! We have been to Rome, Santorini, and Milos and were on our way to Athens when we found out on Athens our bags never even made it on our plane. Sadly while waiting an hour for our bags at the gate another couple has to tell us what was going on. Our flight was delayed over an hour as well. They say we will get our luggage the next day but I have an AirTag in mine and it still hasn’t left MILOS. We leave TUESDAY and my husband and I don’t have any clothes except the ones on our back. Extremely frustrated.

Communication was really bad

Communication was really bad. Our gate change but there was no email or alert to let us know.
My assigned seat was broken and I had to move 2 times more. We also had to wait in that entrance tunnel with no explanation for 20 minutes.
When checking in online I couldn't complete the check in and then got a fraudulent email asking for a euro to pay for my check in.
Luckily my card detected the scam.
Thanks Mastercard
Can't say id choose this airline again.

Would give -5 stars if I could

Would give -5 stars if I could. Delayed take off meaning we missed our connecting flight, terrible and unhelpful service when we tried to get at least some sort of help when we arrived at the connecting airport to jump another flight. This delay happened both flying in and out (Athens to Naxos and Naxos to Athens). Worst airline I've ever flown with. Avoid at all costs. Aegean is much better and more professional.

I was supposed to go from athens to…

I was supposed to go from athens to milos last september, but my flight was cancelled due to wind. They told me to book a ferry and take a taxi there, and gave me an email to send my reciepts to and i would get my money back. Now its almost been a year and ive tried to contact them many times without a reply, and i have no trace of my money. Watch out

Need to be patient!

Planes themselves are fine - clean and relatively new. Staff was also generally courteous and helpful.
But we flew 4 flight segments over the last 10 days within Greece over many different days. ALL of the flights were delayed. This is not a good sign of a well-operated airline. They just don't seem to care much about the schedules.
Also took almost one hour for the luggage to be on the conveyor at Athens airport.

Worst customer service ever. I don’t even believe that customer service exists. They lost our luggage with important medicines for my health and they don’t even answer to emails as there is no contact number to call. Stay away!

Do not fly with Sky Express

Do not fly with Sky Express! We had an unexplained 2 hour delay, missed our connecting flight, then found out our luggage was not on the plane. This included all our babies needs and a travel cot. It arrived into Athens 4 DAY LATER... to which we gave our home address in London hoping it would make it back there before the end of our holiday in Romania. Sure enough we have not heard anything from Athens airport or the company and it has now been 2 weeks without the luggage and travel cot. No word from them and no one answers the phone or responds to emails. It is appalling and has costed us a lot of money to replace all the belongings as we need everything for our baby. Caused a lot of stress and anxiety to a new mother. Extremely unhappy.

Sky Express lost my luggage

On a flight from a Greek Island (Milos) to Athens, Sky Express left our luggage on the Island without explanation. We had a flight back home to the U.S. shortly after, and we were waiting for 40 minutes for our bags to show up, and they never did. It was only by asking other customers what to do that we quickly filed a lost baggage claim with Sky Express, but it was likely not “lost” because other customers said Sky has intentionally left luggage at the departure location when they cannot fit it all on the plane. Then, they (hopefully) mail you your luggage weeks later. The lack of information about this process to customers almost made me miss my flight home, and this is unacceptable and unprofessional for an airline.

Lost luggages

If I had informed myself beforehand, I would never have booked. We flew yesterday from Milos to Athens to then continue our journey with Ryanair to Cologne. Unfortunately, many bags didn't arrive because the airline simply ships many pieces of luggage by ferry. Our two empty suitcases alone are worth over €1000. The lost and found at Athens Airport is completely overwhelmed. We do have a PIR number, but Sky Express doesn't have a tracking link, and the airport doesn't answer the phone. I don't know how I'm going to get our luggage now, let alone where it is. Unfortunately, the internet is full of similar experiences. We are helpless.

Predatory Baggage Fees & Poor communication

Airplane was late, no information or heads up provided. They claimed flight was full and needed to check my carryon bag. There is an 8kg limit for carryon luggage, so they charged me €50 additional to check it.

They also only allow 15kg limit for checked bags, so after removing items from those into my carryon, the carryon was over 8kg.

Turns out the flight was far from full, maybe 70% capacity with plenty of overhead space. It's clear as day that they are using predatory baggage fees and tactics to extract money from customers. The additional bag fee alone was around 1/3 the value of the ticket itself. Beware a hidden upcharge.

Do not fly with these parasites ever.
