What a shower!

I have been with Sky for over 19 years.
The best way of dealing with Sky is to have no dealings with them at all. Try cancelling part of your TV package.Oh how I wish it was all on Netflix!
After various calls, messaging and email eventually on day two got connected to a human at great distance by the level of sound. Having made my request the person wanted to sign me up for a new contract but until I had done so was unable to tell me what the early termination cost might be. Nice one!!
Next I was pressured into giving quality marks out of 10 to the individual rather than anonymously by message or email. What happens to my account if I fail to make with "total satisfaction"?

Poor show sky

Broadband and sky talk cancelled on 28/05/23 via online chat with a person who only had very poor communication skills and kept threatening me with the loss of my skyQ tv package? The person was too uninformed to understand that I wasnt canceling my TV package and that I now have fibre via another provider (sky can't provide fibre to my address, only g-fast hence why I'm changing Internet providers). After multiple threats of loosing internet access (again i had fibre up and running at this time) she finally agreed to end my broadband contract. Confirmation of cancellation emails received and early termination charge of £5.75 received as expected. Why is Sky still billing me for broadband? My sky account shows the broadband as cancelled, why is the hub return still "in progress". All future billing also shows im going to be paying for non existent broadband. I'd appreciate if you send me the box to return the hub ASAP and stop charging me for the Internet you no longer provide. I have tried phoning multiple times but just have to listen to music for 45 plus minutes even though you are told the waiting time is around 15 minutes. I presume sky bill a month in advance but it has been over a month hence the negative review. If this is the service expected I will be cancelling my skyQ and watch TV for free via a little android box that means sky don't get a penny. Shame as I really like the recording function on the skyq.

I was being charged unfairly

I had a problem, with the billing, I was charged for something I had not subscribed and had repeatedly informed about the charge.I kept paying for months. I called again and this time I was very politely attended and was assured of the proper result. I am thankful to Omkar, very helpful and polite.

I have been a customer with sky for 21…

I have been a customer with sky for 21 years and was a reasonably happy customer until I took out sky glass.
Television does not work turns off every day, screen freezes uses all the internet so all the other devices slow down to zero, engineer suggested turn off one of the devices when I have an iPad and a phone. Had a problem with the streaming in February and was advised that I had tried to set up my payment method too many times which I had not so cannot pay by direct debit for 180 days. I then ordered a mobile which a deposit was paid, the phone was returned immediately as it did not work and sky charged me twice by direct debit and kept my deposit. I have called to cancel today and I was transferred 3 times and kept on hold for and hour and 4 minutes. End of the road for me

A company of dishonesty and scams

Dreadful!!! I have Sky super fast broadband which runs at 5 mbps!!! Every tester I've used shows a speed of 5 mbps, all apart from Sky's own one which miraculously says it's providing 80mbps. Which is odd because a hard wired test of the router also confirms it is providing 5mbps as well as amazons tester, Which's tester, Uswitch tester and a couple of others available online. Skys answer was to try and charge me more money for a more reliable server. Which is ironic because even if the 80mbps lie we're true, that's still nearly half what they promise you when you purchase. They really don't give a damn about anything other than money. We're just cash cows for the Murdoch scam centre. I'll be leaving ALL of their dreadful services as soon as practical. To think I pay extra to insure their dreadful equipment !!!

They just want to rob you on every possible occasion, sometimes even by creating them on their own (like sending you unwanted equipment and then charging for not returning it, even if it was returned...). Don't trust this company!

CRAP TV

Fed up with constant repeats, cancelled my subscription and a day later I got some muppet trying to force a new package on me stating that they could make a customised package for me, how is this possible when all they show is repeats, total waste of money.

Bad service and misleading message

I received a message from sky to get 6 months free trial with Apple TV. I followed the instructions and took up the offer. A few days later, i got charged. I have been trying to reach Sky and they are refusing to resolve this problem and it is becoming very frustrating because they are refusing to do anything about the proble.
1. I have screenshots of the message
2. I followed the instruction with the barcode that was provided on the screen.
It is impossible to reach SKY and when i do some of the agents are not interested in resolving the problem.
This was a promise from SKY which i took in GOOD FAITH.
I am really disappointed with SKY with this unacceptable service and treatment.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Sky has gone down in customer service massively and I will never go back. After being a customer for over 7 years I can say that the last few months with Sky have been absolutely horrendous! Spoke to agents today called Steve, Tracy and Chris - all from the customer priority team, believe it or not! All 3 agents extremely rude, condescending, would not listen, unhelpful and need customer service training. I cancelled my Sky weeks ago and then called today to query this, I was called a liar by Steve, wasn’t even listened to by a very unprofessional and inconsiderate Tracy, I was then again called a liar by a rude and patronising Chris who wanted me to do his job for him. After calling AGAIN I surprisingly got put through to a helpful Shana, I was told that I was in fact right and that the Sky package was in fact cancelled. Not entirely sure why the other advisers chose to lie, without having the common decency to check the system first. I wouldn’t even recommend SKY to a stranger, abysmal service and extremely rude agents. You would think that the package you get would make up for the horrible service but I’m afraid not! Zero service on your broadband or mobile 90% of the time, and the T.V package is not worth the ever increasing bill! Everything is digital now anyway so definitely not worth it! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Unfortunate Customer Service Experience with Sky: Insensitivity, Discrimination, and Lack of Resolution

Title: Unfortunate Customer Service Experience with Sky: Insensitivity, Discrimination, and Lack of Resolution

Rating: ☆☆☆☆ ☆ (0/5)

I recently had an incredibly disappointing customer service experience with Sky that left me frustrated and disheartened. My attempts to cancel my deaf partner's account were met with a complete lack of understanding and insensitivity from multiple representatives.

Initially, an Indian representative named Sadit failed to comprehend that my partner couldn't communicate via phone, despite my repeated explanations. I then encountered Maya in Scotland and Richard in the bereavement department, both of whom proved unhelpful and even suggested dishonest solutions, such as pretending to be my partner during an online chat.

On a subsequent call, Seán in Ireland passed me to the "Non-Accessibility" department, where I spoke with Denise. Despite my partner being present, Denise refused to acknowledge us and instead engaged in an argument about discrimination against deaf individuals. This lack of understanding and refusal to accommodate our needs was deeply offensive.

My entire customer service journey with Sky has highlighted systemic issues within their call center operations. The representatives demonstrated insensitivity, discrimination, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Such treatment is unacceptable and highlights the need for substantial improvement in training and empathy.

Considering the level of frustration and disrespect encountered, I am committed to collecting evidence of these incidents and addressing them with the relevant agency responsible for consumer protection. It is important to hold companies like Sky accountable for their actions and advocate for improved customer service practices.

In conclusion, my unfortunate experience with Sky's customer service exemplified insensitivity, discrimination, and a lack of resolution. I urge others who have faced similar challenges to come forward, as collective voices can bring about positive change. Sky must address these systemic issues, prioritize inclusivity, and ensure that all customers are treated with respect, understanding, and the assistance they deserve.

Try any other company but sky

We have been with sky since it started at that time it was very good but over the years the customer service has deteriorated badly recently I have had to get in touch with sky at least four times about the same problem I have now just came to the end of my patience it has now happened again and I feel that they are doing it intentionally to get me to upgrade my system Whicker is still the sky plus box multi room they keep telling me these boxes are not being made anymore and that they want us to upgrade to sky Q which neither my wife or myself want to do so this is their way of trying to make us do it I am paying them quite a bit each month for phone broadband and the sky tv channels which we subscribe to the film channels and cannot get them now with this problem it’s funny each time this happens they are able to send a signal to my television and rectify the problem for a short while then the problem appears after while this is their way of trying to get us to upgrade I would call this harassment as it takes me a while to get through to them each time and I have better things to do with my time I pay them well over £100 per month for rubbish all channels are nothing but constant repeats.I will be looking elsewhere to subscribe in future.

My Sky Glass TV developed a fault

My Sky Glass TV developed a fault, I rang Sky expecting a long wait but was answered within a minute. The lady I spoke to spent over an hour trying to solve the problem but because it was now over half an hour after closing time the problem unfortunately was not resolved so I was asked to contact Sky this morning, again my call was answered immediately and after further discussion it was decided to change the TV and a replacement is coming tomorrow.First Class service and a special thanks to the lady who stayed well past her finishing time last evening.THANKYOU

Billed after cancellation

Cancelled our broadband plan in early March and internet was stopped at the end of March. Sent our router back in early April. Then I was billed for broadband in April and May. It is very difficult to find a phone number for Sky and impossible to deal with refunds. Stay as far as possible from this company. Going to get the bank to deal with them.

Rip off pricing and lie telling outfit.

I am one of Sky's first ever subscribers, right back to the start of their service. I have the basic channels , no movies or sport and the price has crept up to £49 a month. In that 33 years, mostly the programmes haven't changed, many programmes are the same ones shown years ago. They advertise presently their new box, Sky stream offering Sky TV, Netflix and discovery Plus for £26 a month. Netflix and Discovery plus would cost about £16 a month on separate subscriptions so I feel that my rate of £49 a month is simply daylight robbery. I emailed them about this issue and at the time of writing, I have had three emails back with different names on, none of whom can spell correctly, claiming to have rang me and got no answer so have left me a voicemail. It's all lies, my phone hasn't rang and I don't have voicemail set up. They are clearly working to instructions to avoid the issue. I will make them jump though, they will react pretty quickly when the direct debit is stopped. I have emailed the CEO about this so let's see if that gets a proper response. After reading through other reviews, I can only say that if I was the CEO presiding over such a shambles, I would be thoroughly ashamed.

Had to call an engineer out to our sky…

Had to call an engineer out to our sky Q box which we couldn’t get to work with our tv after moving tv cabinet. Although we had to wait a few days for the engineer, partly because of bank holiday the problem was quickly fixed, ( replaced box ) the engineer was polite friendly and very helpful. He set up our new tv in bedroom with our mini box which we hadn’t been able to do because of Q box problems. This was all done very quickly and efficiently with a very pleasant attitude. Thank you .

I’ve been a customer for a lot of years…

I’ve been a customer for a lot of years and I can’t believe the treatment for long loyal customers, I made a complaint due to I can’t leave as I am in contract, I can’t obtain my NHs discount because I’m in contract yet my Sky tells me there is only certain parts in contract so I can’t give notice to cancel. It’s disgraceful how they offer a contract then increase the price I understood a contract is in place and should not be able to increase for that period.
The date of experience is not accurate as I can’t remember the date but will be recorded. I am still awaiting a response to my complaint which I believe has not really been put in but was confirmed on the phone it had?
