Wished I had read reviews. Avoid this company

Wished I had read reviews. Do not buy from this company. I ordered a shower tray and shower screen. When chasing the order I found the shower tray was out of stock. Skrub did deliver the screen, but agreed to refund the cost of the tray as they could not deliver.
The refund has never appeared despite calls and messages. I am now trying to get a refund through my credit card company, but this is proving difficult as Skrub as a company is still active.

Looks like Iam not the only one !!!!

Gutted to read all the reviews for this company I just wish I had before they took my money ! Same thing has happened to me ordered a tap to then be told it is out of stock !! To them be told weeks later they haven't heard from the manufacturer of when it will be back in stock 3 months on and 15 emails to them and still no tap and no reply and no refund !! Stay clear everyone this company is a joke !!!

I had ordered a tap and shower pack in March. The tap arrived but because the building work was delayed I didn’t need the shower pack until May. When it still hasn’t arrived by the promised date I kept ringing and speaking to Tom or Alex was promised this would be sorted. Unlike some other reviewers, I did finally receive the shower. I wasn’t here when it arrived so the builders installed it but when I looked at it the shower wasn’t the one I’d ordered. I spoke to the distributor and after some palaver about not giving me any information because of data protection they said the shower was not the Velar brand I had ordered because they don’t deal with that brand and that Skrub had simply asked them to send the nearest equivalent because ‘their supplier had let them down’. I have an email from Skrub saying they are getting the distributor to send my order. This actually amounts to fraud. I have raised this with Citizens Advice who are alerting trading standards.
The website is down and the phone isn’t working. Good luck to those who didn’t receive anything. At least I have a shower even if it isn’t the one I wanted.

Went on the website by chance to check…

Went on the website by chance to check measurements for the shower enclosure & tray I ordered in May, only to find it’s offline. Reported to my bank who are raising a dispute. Would be great to hear if anyone has successfully received a refund this way. No message to say it’s in administration which is normally posted on the website.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. I believe this company has gone into Administration. If you call the number listed on their website it no longer connects. Shamefully they are still taking orders.

They have no qualms about repeatedly lying. I ordered a shower screen in May, have spoke to them almost everyday since, and no signs of the shower screen. They promise everyday that they will deliver the next day. Thankfully I made the purchase with my Amex card or I am confident I would have lost my +£300 and never received anything.

I rarely ever write reviews, but I’m writing this one as I really want to spare others the hassle and money of dealing with this terrible company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY. Ordered a vanity unit and bath panel on 22nd May 2019 and told by Tom (is that his real name?) that delivery would be 5 to 7 days. Waited until 5 June without delivery and rang and told it was booked for delivery on 7 June. Nothing happens so I called again and spoke to Alex (Tom is off sick). Alex will send their own courier (TNT) to collect from supplier the next day and deliver direct to my home. He even sent an e-mail confirming this and that I would receive a tracking reference. I call on 11 June and was told they had an e-mail confirming items had been collected. Asked them to send this on to me and after some delay (no doubt while they composed a bogus e-mail) I received a one liner saying collection had been made. Suspecting this was all lies I rang the supplier myself and was told no such order had been made by Skrub. My constant phone calls and chat lines have been ignored, so they are liars, cheats and fraudsters. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. NICK BRIDGE

Terrible

Terrible. Ordered sink and vanity unit on 28th May, website said available with 3 working day delivery. 2 weeks later, hadn't heard anything or had the item delivered. Sent an email to follow up, no success. Called them, to hear that there is backlog from the manufacturer, item would be available within 4 weeks. Told them I need the items earlier than that (bathroom being fitted). They offered cheaper alternative, but didn't suit our purposes. Have been trying to cancel the order and get money back ever since, no response to email and nobody picks up the phone. Absolutely appalling!

Do not use this company.
Ordered 1st June, two items, both listed as in stock. Neither arrived.
Sent an email requesting an update; no response.
Phoned multiple times, with no-one picking up or responding to voicemails. Finally got through to someone, who couldn't tell me why they hadn't been delivered, but promised to find out and ring me back 'within 5 minutes'. Didn't ring back.
A few days (and many non-answered calls later), I got through again; was told one item was out of stock and that they could deliver the other immediately. They promised to call me back with a delivery time. That was last week, and no call back. Now, no-one is answering the phones at all and no response to email.
Disgracefully, the website is still up, with no messages explaining what is going on, and still appearing to accept orders.

Ordered items on 28th May

Ordered items on 28th May, been told they were on the way but nothing. Now no phone, no email, no online chat, no twitter, no instagram ....nothing. This company has stolen my money and now must have gone under. Do not order from this horrendous company. The owner is Wayne Brown from Torquay. If you are reading this Wayne front up and pay us back. Its a disgrace your website is still allowing people to buy products that you clearly cant deliver. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid

Be very aware!!

Must echo the recent comments. Ordered 7 weeks ago. Still no shower enclosure. No one now answering phones, no emails as promised. Have had a succession of misinformation, lies and excuses. Alex has been polite and charming but his supervisor has either been “in meetings, on sick leave or not in the office “ Similarly the MD “rarely comes into the office “Has this firm gone under?Not listed at Companies House under this name.
Am now contacting my credit card company.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I have made an order on 20 th of May 2019 and I have not received any items even after a month. Dozens of calls were made and still no money and no goods. Every time when I talk to customer service they are lying that the goods were dispatched without any proof of dispatching the items. Be aware that it is not easy to get money back.

Bath delivered with no legs, customer service non existent may as well have burned the money I spent with this company as the product is pretty much scrap now. Definitely one to be avoided at all costs.

Read this before you buy from Skrub!!

An update on my situation and response from Skrub to my last review, which I have also copied at the end of this message!

To cover their backs and to try and look better to other customers who may read these reviews, they decided to discredit my comments with lies! Here's the truth...

My purchase was issued on 24th May, Amex paid the money into their account on the 25th May.

28th May I get an email saying products not in stock (even though their website says they are!) for 7 days. I accept this and just wait.

5th June (8 days later), I call to just check all is ok. I'm told "all is here, we will send immediately on next day".

7th June, I call to say nothing came yesterday as promised, is it coming today? The answer is "No, it's still here, we will send today on next day, which will now be Monday 10th as it's Friday today".

On Monday 10th I call to check it's on-route, to get told "no it's still here, we will send on overnight for tomorrow"!!

Nothing arrived on Tuesday, so I call them on Wednesday 12th to be told "Everything is on hold. Your card payment has been flagged fraudulent" even though the money was in their account on the 25th May!!

No one from Skrub ever contacted me about this situation or about anything at all... Every call was made to them by me, with promise after promise of delivery!

I called Amex about the fraud flag, they said "there has never been a flag issued on this payment, if there was, we (Amex) wouldn't have paid them the money. The only fraud here is that you have paid them and they haven't delivered"!!

In Skrubs reply they said they sent me an email on the 28th of May about this situation!! Their email was to tell me that they lie on their website and goods are not in stock, but 7 days delay, or as we now know, actually 3 weeks and still nothing!! Absolutely nothing to do with payment issues!

They also said they paid my money back... Totally untrue... You still have my money... GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!! Thankfully I paid by credit card, so I will take it up with Amex today and get my money back that way.

Just so you know, I found every item on my order to Skrub of nearly £1,000 cheaper and available, truthfully next day, from other suppliers... Just Google the product name of your item with the words 'buy online' and you will see many better companies out there cheaper and better.

And the funny bit... I paid both of the new companies with the same Amex credit card, which is totally perfect and payment was in their account same day... And goods are en-route today via the courier links they sent me!! Proper respectable companies that don't discredit their customers with lies to cover their failures!!

As a new customer reading reviews and responses from Skrub, this reply below was supposed to make people believe they were in the right!! I hope this new clarification shows how this despicable company does business!

Thank you for your review, Unfortunately you appear to have left out a few points discussed in relation to your order being held. 

Your order was highlighted as high risk of fraud, this was due to a number of reasons. 

Characteristics of this order are similar to fraudulent orders observed in the past, and the fraud analytics has highlighted this. The billing street address doesn't match credit card's registered address, which is another reason the order was highlighted as a potential fraudulent transaction. 

The order was held, whist we tried to verify the order. We sent an email to the email address that you provided on the 28th May. We did not receive a response to this. Unfortunately, due to all of these reasons we opted to refund the order back to the card used to make payment.

Paul Martin Update - 17th June 2018
Nearly 4 weeks from my original "next day delivery order" and a week on from when Skrub promised me to refund me, but nothing! Today Amex put them under investigation and promised me they will get my money back. So the moral of the story, always pay by credit card as there are fraudulent suppliers out there!!

Couldn't deliver the item and didn't communicate any issues

I had a similar experience to others on here it seems. The initial delivery started by being a week late. I then had to chase it up because there was no communication from the company. I then got an apology and a new delivery date for a week later, but no explanation of what happened. Not ideal, but I can put up with that, as long as it arrives. It didn't arrive. I followed up again by using the chat function. By this point it's been 4 weeks. I got no reply. I sent several emails. These were ignored. I phoned and, after ringing out several times, I eventually got someone and was assured it would be sorted out. It wasn't. I then phoned again days later (this again took around 4-5 attempts) and eventually got someone. I asked the guy to be honest and tell me if the firm are having stocking problems. He said yes and explained these to me. I said that that the company really should have made sure that customers were aware of all this, as opposed to stringing me along for 5 weeks. At this point, he starts getting defensive and stroppy. I asked for and got a refund. This at the very least tells me that the company aren't dishonest as such. It's more just that they're very badly organised, as well as seeming content to mess people around by not keeping them informed.

Poor communication.

Ordered from this company online and after a week of not hearing anything about item being delivered and having read reviews on Trustpilot I decided to cancel my order and request a refund.

Went online and attempted their live chat. No one has come back to me.

Called multiple times and it went to an answering machine. Eventually someone answered and has authorised a refund.

Poor communication and difficult to get a hold of this company. Have purchased item elsewhere.

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company. I ordered several large items. They failed to deliver on the agreed date. Then failed to deliver on the next date. Finally agreed on another date, no delivery. I called them ten times that day with no answer and then 25 minutes before the office closed I received a phone call to tell me two of the items where out of stock. I was promised the additional items would arrive the next day. Still no delivery. It is also impossible to get through to them. I called ten times a day and no answer. No reply to emails. I am still waiting on my refund and in the meantime I have had to order new items from a trusted reputable company.
