Bought a ŠKODA kodiaq sportlkne

Bought a ŠKODA kodiaq sportlkne. Boot fell off yes you read right! The car leaks like a sive in rain and I have never spent more on crap tyres and brakes than on this car!

The company does everything possible not to honour its warranty and the dealer network particularly Richmond is horrendous.

VW is bad to deal with but these guys seem to race to bottom

A 2017 CAR WITH NO CRUISE CONTROL..RIDICULOUS

I bought a 2017 Skoda Fabia NJ63ND second hand. Got to the expressway and no cruise control.

What 2017 model car does not have cruise control as standard.

Absolutely ridiculous !!!!

And to make matters worse, you can't add it later.

Watch yourself when looking at any Skoda vehicles

I recently had a terrible experience…

I recently had a terrible experience with Johnsons Škoda Wigan, and I want to warn others about their lack of customer service. I took my vehicle in for what should have been a straightforward repair, but they kept it for two months with almost no communication. Each time I called for an update, I was met with constant excuses—claims they were "waiting for parts," "staff were off sick," or had "other priorities." It was clear my vehicle was not a priority, and I felt completely disregarded as a customer.

When I finally got my vehicle back—and only after multiple complaints—they offered a goodwill gesture as an apology. Yet, seven weeks later, I still haven’t received anything, and the lack of communication continues. I also asked multiple times for a detailed repair report to understand the real reasons for the delay and exactly what repairs were done. Despite repeated requests, they still haven’t provided this report.

Out of frustration, I also contacted my vehicle manufacturer’s complaints department, hoping for help, but they, too, received the same poor-quality service from Johnsons Škoda Wigan. I’m honestly surprised the manufacturer would use such an unreliable dealership to sell or service their vehicles.

It’s a shame because the vehicle mechanics are excellent—the actual repairs were done well, and I have no complaints about their work. It just seems to be the management team that is letting the business down. Given this unprofessionalism and disregard for customer service, I’ll be reporting my complaint to the Motor Ombudsman. This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend Johnsons Škoda Wigan to anyone who values transparency, honest communication, and reliable service. I’ll definitely be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

I want to say I love my Škoda, but Roadside Assistance is a JOKE

I want to say I love my Škoda. The car is brilliant. The staff I’ve dealt with in dealerships have been mostly good, but the reason for the one star review is for the roadside assistance. If I could I give minus stars. The staff are next to useless and have zero empathy for actual customers. Conflicting information in contravention of own terms and conditions and force you to navigate the landscape alone. 5 calls to call centre, call backs that never occur, solutions that are not helpful.
They place all the arrangements back on dealerships to arrange hire cars and the car rental company’s they use, whose job it is not.
Once my car is out of warranty I will be seriously investigating alternatives. Overall 365, the company Škoda uses for this service, should be terminated. It reflects badly on the Škoda brand and destroys good will. ŠKODA. Get rid of this company…they are killing us. In no less than a week I have dealt with 3 dealerships and I’ve heard similar complaints from them too. Wake up.

I have a Skoda Octavia still under new…

I have a Skoda Octavia still under new car warranty. The "chrome" piping (essentially silver sticky tape) around the air vents is peeling off. It obviously can't cope with the change in temperatures, because the material in not fit for purpose. Skoda have inspected the fault and admitted the material is deformed but refuse to fix it under warranty. Poor form! I have made a third request that Skoda honour the warranty and fix this obvious fault, but I suspect I will need to go to QLD Fair trading and ACCC as they have no complaint resolution procedure.

Skoda.......What a joke!

What can I say other than, if you want a car under warranty to be repaired and a competent dealership who cares, please do not touch Skoda, Essendon Skoda or Skoda Australia with a barge pole.
Skoda.....What a joke you are!

Zero star OR no star rating is the best…

Zero star OR no star rating is the best in this scenario.

Bought a Skoda Demo car and from the day one all sorts of issues popping out.

First one, Updated with Ownership details but it did not reflected into online e.g. unable to search with my Rego still shows old Rego. They said, some issues with the website. I requested to show the same on website so customers are aware but nothing happened in fixing nor updating their website.

Second one, details at Roadside assist were not also updated. After several attempts I was told that Skoda Head office did not supplied the correct / updated information as they rely on Skoda being their source of truth.

Third one, Skoda finance, unable to access the their finance portal. Again after several attempts they had told that some providers may have blacklisted Skoda finance website. This was scary for me, after number of attempts they had told this.

Fourth one, buying a Skoda service pack package is a nightmare because it gives all misleading information and ripping off from the customers.
The Skoda service pack clearly asks have you done the first year service, If yes, then it automatically gives a 4 years service pack option for $1800. Here comes the interesting ripping part. I would expect an expiry date starting from the date of purchase to 4 years, but instead, it starts from the Car Warranty start date.
I had raised complaint with Skoda but no proper response and says that's how Skoda designed to sell the service pack. I do not agree on this as, the website itself was asking have you done the first year service and then automatically giving with 4 year service pack option, this is misleading to the customers and ripping off from them, the customers will only realize when they get to 4th year service, which then had to pay for it and not realising that had paid only for 3 years (although it says 4 years).
I had made several calls but they think it is correct and for me it is incorrect, instead they should have said 3 years service and still they do not agree.
Am not going to leave this as is and am about raise the same with QLD Fair trading and ACCC.

Brilliant cars, non-existent customer support

Brilliant cars, good local dealership in Perth. However, Skoda Australia are the worst company I’ve probably ever dealt with. I was sold a service pack top up and warranty extension directly with VW Group Australia through the Skoda Australia website. I met all the criteria yet when confirmation came through, the extended warranty hasn’t been applied.

Fast forward 3 months and I cannot get anyone to help me. Customer service is literally non-existent apart from a hopeless call centre in the Philippines who aren’t empowered to do anything.

I’ve had a ticket open since 8th December 2023 which I’ve chased many times, I’ve made a separate complaint which never got answered despite their complaints policy stating that I’d get a response within 24 hours. I’ve escalated to Skoda Head Office in the Czech Republic who also don’t care and told me to speak to Skoda Australia again. I can’t even get my money back. It’s verging on fraud.

Finally, I’ve now lodged a complaint with the ACCC and am considering legal action to get what I paid for.

Hopeless service from a brand I used to trust.

--Update--

It took 4 months to get my extended warranty applied. When I enquired as to why it took so long and why was the service so bad, the answer was that call volume was high. I mean, okay lol.
